John Wick is a new standard for action flicks, the Camara work flows and screens are in grossing.

Keanu Reeves plays a former hit man named John Wick who just buried his wife after a long battle of disease. After her funeral Keanu receives one final gift from her a puppy so he is not alone. Later, some men wanting his car break in and beat him up and kill his dog. After recovering, John learns one of the men who stole his car and killed his dog, is the son of a former employer. John comes out of retirement to exact revenge. John Wick is a non-stop action packed thriller. I am not a big fan of Keanu only liking Speed and the original Matrix. This film is a pure adrenaline thrill ride. If you like action packed films, John Wick is right up your alley. Easily a 5 star film.

With prices coming down pretty dramatically, I'm now a new entry into the 4K market, mainly to upscale my BluRays which I'm very happy with. I bought John Wick because it was 14.99, had good reviews and I hadn't seen it. I mostly wanted to have an action movie for something to compare Blu Ray and 4K to each other. It's actually a great test disc. Tons of blacks, blues and greens I used it to calibrate my Samsung 55 with my new Samsung 4K UHD player and my Samsung Sound bar/sub woofer and all three happily work great together. I had already calibrated my TV to my taste in the various modes and John Wick looked amazing on the Natural setting. The verdict for the 4K products for me is that they are neat but, no reason to replace your Blu Ray unless is it s a very special content to you. This John Wick movie is a stunner when you mute it down slightly so that it is not glaring and the blacks put the 4K UHD through a workout. The movie itself is fun, far better than Taken, though I guess similar in that vein. Really a simple revenge plot shot with gorgeous 4K and some outstanding choreography. I'm sold on Keanu again and look forward to JW2.

I have this movie on blu-ray, but liked it enough to get the 4K version. This is another great movie from Lionsgate. Lots of action and a good story about a guy who is trying to get out, but they pull him back in - sound familiar? [Spoiler alert!] Some spoiled brat son (no pun intended) of a Russian criminal decides to steal Wick's car and kill his dog. Big mistake - since it was a gift from his wife who recently passed away. The rest of the movie is Wick tracking them down and doing some serious revenge. It looks great on 4K and I am glad that I bought it for $14.99. Most other 4Ks are still too expensive for me.

.....then you’re doing yourself a disservice. John Wick is one of the baddest on film anti-heros Ive seen in a very long time. This movie isn’t too heavy on a deep plot as it is into just plain fun. Lots of killing and gore in this movie. Keanu Reeves does an excellent job as the retired assassin who is “forced” back into the game as John Wick. Movie looks theater quality of course in 4K. Not a lot of scenes utilize the Dolby Atmos sound effects other than some of the scenes with rain (which sounds amazing if you have a Dolby Atmos set up of course). Highly recommended movie

John Wick (along with The Equalizer) may be the best action film of the year. However, be forewarned that if you are one to shy away from graphic violence this is not the movie for you. (I've read an article stating that there were over 80 head shots in this movie) However, if this does not bother you, you are in for a pleasant surprise. The plot is pretty much a revenge story, but there are enough new ideas to keep things interesting, Keanu Reeves is perfectly cast as a man who doesn't really need to act and there are a lot of great supporting actors, such as Ian McShane who keep things moving. Anyway as an action fan I can't recommend this enough. Enjoy!

If you loved John Wick at the theater, you will love this 4K Ultra HD w/HDR release! This disc was made form a 2K master file. So it is a subtle improvement over the standard Blu-Ray for the fine details. The most noticeable change is the HDR. Bright colors stand out more and show better contrast to whats around them. The Audio is Dolby Atmos, I dont have the ability to play that but I will say the standard Dolby Digital is still as detailed and dynamic as ever. If you have a 4K TV and 4K Blu-Ray player this will make a nice addition to you collection. Add HDR and turn off the lights its SHOWTIME!!!

After hearing the praises sung of this movie forever, I finally watched it and I'm glad I did.

Not your typical revenge story, you need to watch it to understand what I mean. Lots of action and fun.

John Wick is one of the greatest action movies I have ever seen. In terms of execution I believe the directing, acting, and camera work all come together to create a very clean and well paced movie. The action scenes in this movie stand above other action movies to me on merit that they never felt drawn out. They were efficient as the character John Wick is established to be through out the story. While there are few narrative things that may not have appealed to me overall, but it is just so well done. To anyone who loves intense and dark action movies you owe to yourself to watch this movie.

If you enjoy watching bad guys get what's coming to them - you're going to love this movie.

Probably everything that could be said about John Wick has already been said, so I won't get into the movie review much, outside of the fact that this is an awesome action movie very reminiscent of '1980s - '1990s action films. It's a wild ride from start to finish and the sequel is even better. I already bought the regular copy of John Wick on Blu-ray, but once I saw the steelbook design, I was immediately hooked and bought it alongside the John Wick: Chapter 2 steelbook. Great addition to my collection and I would recommend this to any cinephile looking for something new to add their own collection.

John Wick seems at first like it would be one of those typical action-shooter films you watch on T.V when nothing else is on. Nowadays, these kinds of movies have lost their popularity, but not this one. This film is different because: 1. There is action, yes. 2. Keanu Reeves does not have a handgun that holds a magazine of a sideways eight number of bullets. 3. The fights are choreographed wonderfully. 4. Though it may seem as a strange reason for going on a killing spree, John Wick answers in a way that all of us would probably want to react to if something so precious was ever taken from us. 11/10 would recommend.

Excellent movie (although not for the soft at heart). The digital copy comes in handy, too.

I didn't like John Wick 2 as much as the first, but an excellent addition to my collection.

Been waiting for another good Keanu Reeves film, and this time he returns as a hitman. The movie has a fluid motion throughout and is very watchable. This is a reference/demo quality Blu-ray for both video and audio (especially if you are planning a Dolby Atmos system install). There is an above average number of extra special features. A number of other professional reviewers have marked this as a "highly recommended" Blu-ray.

Lot of fun, and one of Keanu Reeves best movie. Great for a Saturday night with a good meal.

This is at its heart, an action movie out and out and should be reviewed as such. Lots of violence, lots of guns and blowing things up and it delivers that in spades. (if you want some perspective, look up Keanu training for these movies on YouTube and you will be blown away at his skills) The movie doesn't stray too far away from standard tropes of action movies, but it's a blast to watch nonetheless. If you aren't expecting Schindler's List and like a good action movie, then go and get this one. Put it on the biggest screen you have with the sound turned up, sit back and enjoy!

I was surprised by how much I ended up enjoying this movie. To be honest, I'm not a huge Keanu Reeves fan, as I feel his acting is often stiff and unnatural. However, he did a decent job in this one, and everyone loves a come back. This is the story of a retired hitman who is forced back into the business after a spoiled brat messes with him and his puppy. I like the fact that he kicks butt, but gets injured in the process, this made it a little more believable within the realm of movie reason.

A must see movie . If you enjoyed the first one then I recommend the second one .
