I hear complaints on the news about the new Joker movie being protested over because it might promote gun violence. Baby, the ENTIRE John Wick series is a promotional / tutorial for the most horrendous, gruesome, brutal, and graphic gun violence I've seen in movies in years - probably ever - and it is FANTASTIC! These movies are non-stop action, a sheer adrenaline rush of ultimate survival against impossible situations. I usually hate anti-hero movies, but I love these, and JW3 is no exception. I'm not going to spoiler anything here, but I do encourage you to see 3 if you liked 1 or 2 at all. BTW - this review is from a 50 year old mom of 3 that normally likes girly romance movies.

Every entry in the John Wick series is always a good time action movie.

John Wick doesn't waste his time and our credibility by engaging the bad guys in ridiculous conversation; he immediately shoots each one at least 3 times and moves on to the next one. Not everyone loves Keanu Reeves, but I think he was great as Wick.

'John Wick' is one of the best action films in a very long time, driven by an emotionally gripping plot and a stylized, contemporary noir feel that's invigorating. Starring Keanu Reeves as a retired assassin on a vengeance trip, the film works on many levels, from an easily digestible actioner to an intelligently poignant twist on the five stages of grief. The Ultra HD Blu-ray arrives with an excellent 4K picture quality and the same outstanding Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Although the package features the same set of supplements as before, fans and early adopters will be more than happy with the upgrade to UHD.

I have seen "John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum" at Regal Cinemas Northampton 14 in Easton, Pennsylvania in May of this year. I told myself as the end credits were rolling "When John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum" comes out on Bluray/DVD combo pack, I'm buying it and I did it. I have seen the first two John Wick movies on the big screen when I lived in Knoxville, Tennessee and they were awesome and I have those movies on Bluray/DVD combo packs as well. I got this installment so I can complete the set. I can't wait for John Wick Chapter 4 when it's released in theaters sometime in 2021. I'll be ready.

This is the third installment in the John Wick series and it doesn't disappoint. The story line is consistent for those looking to discover what's next for the assassin you find yourself rooting for and yet full of action for newcomers. Not only are kill counts up but viewers will be excited or pleasantly shocked with some different methods of getting the job done. The 4k viewer experience is phenomenal as the film has many dark scenes yet vibrant pops of color throughout.

I love John wick and the series it has created. Unfortunately there may be a chance of over saturation of it since it is no longer a trilogy. Story aside, lionsgate has made a fantastic 4K release, easily one of the cleanest looking 4K blu rays I’ve ever seen which also includes Dolby vision/atmos. Surprisingly enough, even the regular 1080p blu ray has Dolby atmos, which is not the case most of the time since many HD blu rays generally opt for Dolby true HD or 7.1 sound at best. Just a tid bit, makes sure to get the slipcover, the holographic purple is gorgeous!

It's John Wick. Y'all know what you're getting yourself into if you're looking at this movie. Best of the bunch in my opinion. I don't know if I would pay $30-$40 for one of these 4k DVD again, but for $12 no problem at all

If you're a fan of Keanu Reeves' John Wick character, the preternatural assassin who seems to have a target on his back and lives in a noir fever dream of high-tech gadgetry, dark streets and posh hotels, then you don't need much prompting to see Chapter 3 (subtitled "Parabellum" for a little extra class, I guess, although "Machine Gun" might have been just as effective and far more revealing). The franchise isn't about acting or character development or themes of honor and betrayal, it's about non-stop violent action, with Reeves playing the eponymous character with a laid-back cool that is both sexy and funny. The regular cast is back with him (Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, Laurence Fishburn) and some new faces who are sure to stick around (Anjelica Huston, Halle Berry and "Billions" breakout star Asia Kate Dillon), and the body count keeps growing, too, as John fights for his life at seemingly every turn. Just check your brain after the opening credits, sit back and enjoy "Chapter 3", knowing that "Chapter 4" should be in theaters soon.

John Wick is the only good video game movie franchise. I say this all the time and boomers don't get what I mean. Obviously, John Wick is not a game franchise. But it's the first film franchise to nail the feeling of playing a bonkers action game. This is an action film filtered through the lens of action video games, and that is why this slaps. This one is more brutal than the previous entries, but the acting and fights are on point, and both the Blu-Ray and UHD discs look great. Buy these films so we can all revel in John Wick 4, 5 and 6.

There is no rest for John Wick, as a bounty on his head jumps to $15 million. That draws the interest of any and every criminal that would like to make $15 million. The fight scenes were well done and there are a lot of them. The plot basically revolves around John Wick and his ability to stay alive through incredible odds. Wick tries to make amends to save his life by visiting the high table. (Spoiler!) Wick stays alive and saves his "buddy" Winston Continental, but doesn't receive any thanks. It looks like there will be a John Wick 4.

First of all, the movie itself is great. You might want to rewatch John Wick 2 before watching this one because it might make a few things a bit clearer. Still a great action movie. Having said that, the way to redeem the digital copy is horrible. You need to get the Lionsgate app and redeem it through them. Better hope your phone camera can read the special code. While everyone else just gives you the code to redeem on the movie site of your choice, not Lionsgate. They make you jump through hoops. Terrible decision on their part.

If you're a fan of the John Wick franchise, you'll probably enjoy this third chapter. The 4k transfer was beautiful. If you saw the first two movies, you pretty much expected what you will see in this one. Actually wish they would tone it down just a bit. My favorite film in the series is still the first one, and I wish they would get back to him being on the offensive, rather than defensive, but we'll just have to wait and see how the series progresses. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase, and looking forward to the next movie.

Remember when Best Buy sold movies? I remember when they sold music. Those were the good old days! Nevertheless, given that physical media is now a niche purchase, they did the right thing.

For those who are wondering, it's a miniature steelbook slightly larger than the palm of the average hand, and when you open it--there's a black card that resembles the membership card of The Continental, which contains directions to visit a website and enter the code, which gives you access to the movie and other exclusive site benefits behind the scenes, etc. Because the blu-ray disc is not out yet, this was the first item out of the steelbook/mini steelbook bundle that shipped out and was received first. Get it while it's hot!

This movie was a thrill ride from start to finish. Within the first 20 minutes there was already action and it only picked up from there. The scene with Halle Barry and the dogs was shot so well. The camera work was amazing. Usually an action series can never live up to the first movie, but the John Wick movies keep getting better. This is my favorite in the series so far. I did notice some flickering in one scene that i didnt notice in theaters. Either my memory is bad or something was messed up. It didn't last for long though.

So I guess Lionsgate is just trying to crack down on people stealing the digital codes for their movies, and that's fine. It's just a little confusing at first. You have to download an app on your phone and then scan a qr code and that might be an issue if you don't have the phone for that. There's a website you can go to in order to bypass this, but it's equally confusing in my opinion. Great movie though and I will buy many more movies from Lionsgate if this is what they're churning out so no criticisms there!!!

In the tradition of previous Wick movies, this does not disappoint. One thing that helped me with a further appreciation of the making of the movie was the special features. Gives you insight into the thinking of the director and so on which enhances the understanding of the movie. I own the other two movies so I'm a "Wick" fan. Appreciated that it was in both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. So if you are set-up for both, there you go.... Glad to add it to my collection and highly recommend the same to others.

Ok, so plot isn't what you come for when you watch a John Wick movie, but I happen to like the setup to these, the mythology of its assassin world, and all of that. But.. you come for the action, and John Wick 3 does NOT disappoint. Some of the things they pull off had me jumping out of my seat, and it isn't just with Keanu this time around... Halle Barry and even her dogs get in on the action, and I don't mind saying, this is some of the best action you'll ever see on screen outside of a video game. Great movie!
