Keanu Reeves is just amaxing in this. The guy can just pull you into a movie and make you feel whats going on.

Son wanted me to watch it - I was not really interested but I did watch the movie as it kept you engaged.

This is a fun little movie, but it would have been Bette served with a bit more complex of a plot. Keanu reeves does a fantastic job in the role and the scene in the nightclub is one of the coolest and freshes action scenes that I have seen in a while. There just wasn't anything terribly memorable about the entire movie. It had style, but not substance and that lack of substance tends to make it somewhat forgettable. I understand the appeal of making this lto be a throwback and tapping into the nature of seventies style revenge films. However, incorporating present sensibilities of storytelling would be beneficial as well. I really liked the film but I didn't love it and it didn't grab me enough to quickly merit a second viewing. I'm happy to have seen it, though, so I can mildly recommend it. Great style for the film (especially with editing and music), great presence and charisma for Keaneu. It would have been greta to have a better story to tell within this world, however.

This movie is a must see. I watched it when it came out in theaters and I patiently waited (not really, couldn't wait) till it came out on DVD. I purchased the movie, watched it least a dozen times, I let a friend borrow it and I never got it back. I asked him about it, he said he liked the movie so I told him to keep it. now I bought myself another copy. This movie is so good that I bought myself another copy and my friend kept my original copy. A lot of action I love the whole Russian mob theme, the cars and guns the movies just action-packed and awesome.

This movie is simple, it's elegant and it's violent. The plot isn't terribly deep and there aren't many emotionally moving bits of dialogue. There's enough story to convey why Keanu Reeves is killing people, then the rest of the movie is all action...... extremely well choreographed, highly entertaining action. Better than Taken, better than The Matrix. You have to go into the true action movie classics to find one better than this. If you are a fan of action movies as I am, buy this and watch it repeatedly.

If you love action movies with a twist, buy this movie! Keanu Reeves put his best work in this movie about a grieving widower/former hit man who goes after some serious bad guys. When my family came to visit, we watched it together and they absolutely loved it. When they came to visit again two weeks later, they wanted to watch it again a d did. My dad liked it so much that I bought this copy for him at Best Buy. Now my sister wants a copy. This movie has non - stop action and lots of blood.

If you like action movies that at least make an effort to give you background and make the story believable, you should get a kick out of this one. The story is solid, the action is riveting, and there is a definite revenge angle here. It does jump around a little as far as flashbacks, but there is something for almost everyone. A little humor, heart, and lots of violence. Believe it or not, I think it's one of Mr Reeves best roles. Hope this helps you decide whether or not you're interested.

Keeanu Reeves nails his performance as an ex-assassin forced back into action for revenge. It is tough to keep up with the body count and there are some great action sequences throughout. It will keep you on the edge of your seat as you root for John Wick. A sequel is coming out soon so pick this up so you know the background of the main character when you see the sequel at the theater, which is not to be missed. What is your best kill scene?

The firearm tactics that they use in this movie are real. They did an excellent of portraying the movements and focus. They story line is great and explains itself. You really need to watch it twice to catch everything. The first time you will miss a few things, because it is fast action. I don't know why this didn't get more attention at the theatre's but it is well worth your time to watch it. A+ in my book.

The director of this film was a stunt man / stunt coordinator, and it shows in an amazing way. The film is taunt with action - no sequence is wasted on frivolous storytelling. "John Wick" literally explodes into action within the first few seconds, and its explosive heat continues to the final fade-to-black. If you love action movies, this the film for you.

Being an assassin never looked so good. At this point, everyone knows who John Wick is, and with the second chapter coming online, it's respectful to visit the origin. Baba-yaga is in full revenge mode as he takes on the Russian mob. Let's face it, any cameo with Will Dafoe is going to be memorable. We all wish we knew a John Wick...here's your chance!

Every now and again Keanu Reeves comes out of his hiding spot to make a movie and its sooo good he knocks your socks off. John Wick is definitely one of those movies. Its action packed, filled with a great story line of a hit man going through life's woes after the loss of his wife. Great flick definitely should be added to a dvd collection.

The film takes on the traditional Eastwood styled films, whereas the hero is nearly killed and goes off seeking revenge to right the wrongs. Reeves with his previous Matrix trilogy has garnered the ability to present the stoic front to pull this type of movie off. Ian McShane is wonderfully comedic despite the serious tone of the movie, while Reeves is running around showcasing his "gun-fu" action style. The movie can get slightly predictable with the plot, but at least none of the classic cars are trashed in the movie.
