    I found out after I installed this product that the main Cortana smart feature was REMOVED with the last firmware update. I wanted a device I can talk to directly. You can no longer talk to it or ask the weather or have it change temperature by voice command directly. This is such a huge disappointment! if I didn't already take the time to remove my old thermostat and rewire everything and mount the new one it would have gone back immediately. There should be a disclaimer or notice or something on the website before you buy this.

    It took time to hire a professional tech to get my thermostat installed. Unfortunately, the item was defective and gets stuck on a screen “press any key to shutdown”. The tech was unable to install and mentioned it is either defective or not compatible to our system. We tried searching online for the error code and the error number but could not find anything, but rather found our reviewers from other sites complaining about the product. Beware to get a professional right away because Best Buy will not accept the return after 15 days. I made that mistake to wait closer to my anniversary to surprise my husband. Now we are stuck with a useless product and a giant headache. I also wasted my $15 certificates on this purchase and won’t get that back either.

    As for smart it's on the lower half of the scale. AI is supposed to map out habitation and adjust. This unit cannot adjust and actually has a hard time keeping a set temperature.

    App is not user friendly as it requires login every time and this product does not have smart feature support. After a few months it locked up after a reset and has become a paperweight. I do not recommend this product anyone

    Now that it is colder at night I just turned on the heat for the first time since buying and the heating function of the device does not work. Of course the return/exchange has expired. very disappointed

    Followed instructions. The thermostat did not power on. I had blinking green light on lower left. This item has been discontinued. Waste of time.
