I had heard of this movie but pretty much dismissed it, but after several people telling me it was really good and that I'd like it, so I gave it a watch. The movie is hilarious! Yes most of the actors speak with British accents even though they are in war-torn Germany, but once you get past that, you will be laughing out loud. The acting is phenomenal, especially the child actors! The humor is quick and witty. The movie also on top of the satire and humor has an emotional side that I wasn't expecting. This movie is definitely one to watch!

If you’re looking for historical accuracy, seek no further. Jojo Rabbit portrays the life and times of a Hitler Youth and his inappropriate relationship with the infamous führer. Detailing the disgraced dictator’s manipulation of the young boy in the waning hours of World War II, audiences will be astonished at the lengths taken by Taika Waititi’s Hitler to gaslight, brainwash, and (unconfirmed) assault the boy. This generational film crosses many genres from historical drama to psychological horror. For fans of Lars von Trier and Ari Aster.

One of the most creative movies of 2019. The topical nature of this movie may not be suitable or palatable for everyone, considering it’s a satirical look at life through the eyes of a 10 year old boy who is a zealous devotee of Adolph Hitler and an aspiring soldier in the Hitler Youth group. None of this sounds humorous; however, the story is delivered magnificently through the eyes of a good child that despite the environment trying to pollute his views on life, cannot ultimately ignore his natural instinct as to what is right or wrong. The movie has numerous humorous moments balanced by an underlying positive message.

These release has been a bit pricey since it came out. Even with 3 different versions (4K / BD + Digital), anything over $25 is a high. Recently went on sale for $22 so I picked it up. Quality is there on all 3 versions, but the audio on the 4K disc is phenomenal. BD is loaded with extras plus an hour documentary on the production of the film (which is always a big plus for me).

I've come to love everything Taika Waititi touches, and this movie was another great reason why. It's got a bit of every emotion, all laced together with clever humor. It's a heartwarming satire of WW2 Germany from the perspective of a 10-year-old, not a sentence I ever expected to write. I'm honestly shocked this movie has had such a limited release and nobody seems to have heard of it. The 4K probably isn't necessary for most viewers, but I feel totally justified for such a great movie. I'll definitely be watching this one multiple times with various friends and family.

I'm a huge movie person! I have thousands of BluRays, DVDs, and VHSs (I'm old too) in my collection. Jojo Rabbit is one of the best movies I've ever seen. It takes you on an amazing journey as you learn about love and hate through the eyes of Jojo. He is a little boy living in Germany during WWII who wants nothing more than to be a Hiler Youth and become best friends with Adolf. The discovery of a hidden Jewish girl in his house causes him to rethink his identity and beliefs. You will experience every emotion as you watch this movie. Seriously, just buy it!

If you're a fan of Taika Waititi's films, you'll definitely enjoy this one as well! Excellent picture quality and the 4K disc shows good improvement over the standard blu-ray disc. I remember reading a review and decided to take my wife to see it. I thought it was great. The dialog is so funny and the lines so deftly delivered. I have seen all the best picture nominees from the Oscars this past season, in fact I own most of them, but I think Jojo Rabbit should have won. The story, the comedic acting, the idea of making a comedy in the midst of the bloodiest was mankind has ever witnessed... and pulls it off! This movie just might become a cult classic on the order of A Christmas Story.

Considering the difficult topic covered, this is such a fresh approach. The movie begins in such a funny fashion and you are expecting that to be the way the whole movie goes but it packs such an excellent emotional punch as well. Definitely an excellent purchase and something we will watch many times. And the soundtrack is excellent as well. Even with the lyrics being in German, you will recognize the great song selections.

I can’t believe this movie passes as a pg13 movie! There is so much crazy stuff going on I couldn’t believe what I was watching I had to keep checking it was a pg13 flick. Very very engaging characters, engaging story, hilarious AND twisted!!! It had one of the craziest moments I never expected a movie to have. It gets dark quick! And I mean very dark that makes you look around and ask yourself what just happened. Great director and great actor playing adolf, taika waititti director of Thor ragnarok knocks this movie off the park

Highly recommended comedy drama about a young Hitler youth in Germany. This won't be for everyone however there's a reason it was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars (and other awards at other shows), it's heartfelt and sweet. The Young boy at the center is young and misguided and grows when confronted about the N*ZI lies in a rather personal and profound way. Sweet and star studded. The dramatic elements make this a break for the director of "What We Do In The Shadows" and "Thor Ragnarok". Give this a chance.

Great movie, although it touches on a very hard time in our history and tries to add some comical elements to it, they have managed to do a great job of combining these. Absolutely recommend this movie to anyone that wants to learn more about what happened during that period, although probably not a real life story, the overall concept is something that did occur during that period.

A very heart felt movie about a little boy(JO JO) who had to grow up emotionally dealing with World War II at Hitler's time near the end of the war. You first get angry about the Brain wash of the youth of Germany and then watch a very young boy decides to have a conscience about whether or not to help a Jewish girl or turn her in knowing him and his mother may be executed for helping her. He was mixed up with loyalty to the Hitler and his loyalty to his heart. Be prepared to feel emotions.

blend of humor with seriousness, unlike any other movie I have seen. Very polarizing, either you see the humor in so many little things, or you don't. Was definitely a very dark time for mankind. Seriousness of the time is portrayed. Some people are not ready for a movie like this. But some people can see the humor and really enjoy it. Sharing it with friends and family has shown me both sides of the coin. Personally, I really love this movie.

JoJo Rabbit is an excellent movie that is equal parts hilarious satire and blistering social commentary. Viewers will undoubtedly experience a range of emotions throughout, as this film will both make your heart jump with child-like joy and rip it out before the credits roll. The costumes, set design, cinematography, acting and score are all top-notch in this underrated masterpiece.

Great film. It has heart balanced with comedy that doesn’t take away from the serious message. Definitely found a way to tell a hard truth in a way that’s isn’t to harsh. My baby sister watched this film for the first time and asked about more details regarding the topics covered in the film. This gave us a way to teach her about the situation and for her to understand it better

Amazing movie! It's a comedy, but it's got so many serious issues to it as well. The little boy has an invisible friend in the form of Adolph Hitler...but it's this kid's naive and goofy version of what he thinks Hitler might be. Scarlet Johanson and Sam Rockwell are great but Taiki Watiti is AMAZING as fake Hitler. Worth watching. Says a lot about prejudice (in this case, antisemitism).

This film is absolutely one of my favorites this year. It is funny and unexpectedly moving with a premise that could have gone very wrong if not done properly. The performances are fantastic and the production design is beautiful. Especially on 4K all of the colors are so lush and vibrant. It's a film I will watch time and time again. Definitely worth the purchase!

Taika Waititi somehow managed to create an anti-hate satire about Hitler's regime that is both hilarious and heartfelt. Absolutely worth owning. The 4K edition includes a beautiful slipcover and disc-art inspired by the posters. Sound and picture are both superb. An incredible product all around.
