If your looking for a new anime to watch Jojo Bizarre Adventure is where its at. The characters great, animation, and the story is bizarre. The box set is awesome and i"m looking for forward for the next box set. Also do not order this product on amazon, there seems to be some sort of scam or something with this product I ordered it and got a single blu-ray and no box set, so i returned it.

Heavily stylized and completely over the top, enter a story about a lineage of evil fighters. Based on one of the longest running manga ever (1987-it's still going!), the Joestar family must face off against vampires, the near-invincible race that created vampires and all other types of super-powered maniacs. The first season covers two story arcs: Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency. In Phantom Blood, Jonathan Joestar (the first JoJo) battles his former foster brother, Dio Brando, who is now an insane vampire. Despite a tragic end and fifty year timeskip, this directly leads into Battle Tendency, where a young Joseph Joestar (grandson of Jonathan and also JoJo) must defeat the Pillar Men. This trio are the last of an ancient race that inadvertently created vampires. JoJo must defeat them to save not only his own live but all of humanity! This is where the "to be continued" vines came from.

Love this anime. Non stop action and fights. Comedy mixed in as well. Animedone with a kind of comic book feel. Buy this edition over the Warner brothers edition especially if you watch it in Japanese because the subtitles are done better and clearer.

Wow! All I can say is wow. What a great transfer on this blu ray I can't remember the last time I was this impressed by the quality of a blu ray and all the extras are worth having!

I love the limited edition set the boxset itself is pretty sturdy and there is a lot of extra features I would recommend this set to a collector.

First thing's first: yes, these episodes are UNCUT. If you watched the broadcast version (on Crunchyroll, Hulu, or wherever) then I'd say this is worth it. The set itself is in a sturdy, good-looking clamshell and looks good on a shelf. The real standouts for buying this set are the postcards (chiefly for fans), and the extra artbook. The book itself is rather thick and features a lot of additional comments from the director detailing the production. And the show itself? Well, I have to admit a bit of a bias: I've been familiar with JoJo's for about 15 years by now, so I'm willing to admit that my views are...colored. This is an over-the-top 80's machismo fest (giant muscles and emotions with grand soliloquys) dressed in modern anime. I will say that the first Arc, Phantom Blood (the first 9 episodes) is the weakest, but this is a show that rewards patience and continues to get better. If you want to see what all the fuss/memes are all about, then this is more than worth the time and money.

I started watching JoJo on Cartoon Networks Toonami block some months ago and thoroughly enjoyed Season 1. So, I was thrilled when Set 1 was announced by Viz. The clamshell packaging is amazing and has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. The picture quality is good and the included art cards and book are very nice inclusions.

Fans of 90's anime will love jojo's bizarre adventure (especially season 1). It's based on a manga written back in the late 80's early 90's so it has the fist of the north star type looking characters and over the top action. Love it!
