Bought to watch with a 6.5 year old and she kind of lost interest. She had wanted it after seeing the previews. Would recommend for a little older audience.

Awesome movie and another steel book for our collection

This is a fun movie with some funny and action scenes.

Journey To The Center Of The Earth is a movie based on the book by the same name. The book also has an earlier version of the film from 1959. This movie features Brendon Fraser (Main star), Anita Briem (daughter of an explorer), and Josh Hutcherson (Brendons son). They go in search of the center of the Earth. What they find is amazing and makes you wonder what if there really is life inside the Earth. I don't like putting spoilers in my reviews. You should watch this film despite the mediocre ratings. This steelbook is a great addition to the collection. I just wish they had one that featured the sequel together with this film. Or even a steelbook of the 1959 version.

I saw this at the theater in 3D. Man, did it pop. When it came out on DVD, I got the 3D version with the paper/plastic blue and red glasses...yeah, we've all been there. No good at all. I decided since I have a 3D TV and blu-ray player I would try it on blu-ray. YES, YES, YES. What a fun movie. I've always like Brenden Fraser and he does a great job in this movie. Highly recommend 2d or 3d. It's all good.

We are new to 3d movies so we got a few movies to watch. When I put this one in the dvd player, my kids were so excited. It starts off with a great popout and that's what we wanted to see in our 3d movies. I know everyone doesn't like these effects, but if that's what you are looking for, like my family was, this is a good one to get.

Not all movies need to be academy level to be enjoyable and fun. Journey to the Center of the Earth was a fresh look at an old story and I had a great time watching it. There were some good comedic moments, some real serious and intense moments and it was nice to enjoy an entertaining movie that I didn't have to think about.

Journey to the Center of the Earth is super. Brenan Fraser is both macho & funny, as the lead. Josh Hutchinson before Hunger Games , is a great side kick. Lots of action, flying biting fish, man eating flowers & finally the T-Rex. Really enjoyable of an old time favorite book & wonderful author, Jules Verne.

Loved this movie with special effects and adventure on an old time classic. This is great for the family and kids of any age. Brendan Fraser is not only the hero, but brings comedy to the screen. Josh Hutchinson from the Hunger Games series is also a delight to watch as the young nephew searching to find what happened to his father. Worth the cost for this bluray special.

This is a favorited sci-fi story of mine. I have never seen this version so decided to purchase it. Although it is based in modern times, they did a decent adaption. Of course my favorite one is the 1959 version.

The story is cute and well presented. We find it to be a nice addition to our collection of movies. Sometimes you like to through a movie in that is not real heavy, thought provoking but just nice to watch.

This is a good twist on a well known story. This release includes the 2D and 3D versions. I'll be perfectly honest. It's fun to watch in 3D. However, I'd don't feel the 3D really adds any more to the story or movie experience.

This is a older movie that we have not seen and was delighted when I was able to purchase it from BestBuy at a good price so my wife and I can watch it anytime we want.

Get set for family viewing with a 3D movie that's not afraid to break the plane and pop out. If you're bored with 3D only showing depth and not pop outs, this is the title for you. It's all great fun, and suitable for the whole family.

I knew in the opening minutes that this would be fun! The 3D features numerous "pop outs" and in your face action. Gimmicky? Not at all... this is what 3D was made to do, engage and envelope the viewer. All around fun family film.

Since this was the first Journey movie, it was more original than Journey 2. I had seen it years ago, but I'll tell you, seeing it in 3D makes a world of difference! Awesome!

Good family movie my kids love it. The 3D effect is okay definitely better than the old red and blue lenses however I've seen much better 3D effects.
