This was a great movie! Very happy with this purchase!

Was so glad to get the BluRay on sale. This is an absolutely terrific movie with two amazing performances with two actresses working at their tip top career highs. Personally, I think Meryl Streep (She of Over-Ratedness Fame) deserved another Best Actor Oscar for this absolutely incredible and gifted evocation of the life-spirit that was Julia Child. For those of you who haven't see it -- forget what you THINK this movie is about. Watch it and you'll be very surprised. Promise.

This is a great movie. Saw the BluRay on sale and snapped it up. If you haven't seen it, it's not about ANYTHING you think it is. Very clever, witty, surprising, educational about things to thought you already knew but didn't really, and it showcases SOOOO many wonderful performances, including one of the best roles of Meryl Streep's "over-rated" (and award-laden) career. Amy Adams is no slouch either! Take this journey, trust me!

Absolutely loved the movie and had some misconceptions from childhood memories about Julia Child cleared up. So much more to her than what you saw on her PBS cooking show!

If ever there was a movie made for BluRay this is it! Food and locations are so amazing and the digital soundtrack combines to bring the kitchens to life. Whether in BluRay or DVD the acting is superb, as one would expect from Meryl Streep, Amy Adams and Stanley Tucci. Jeremy Wheeler is never overshadowed as Julie Powell's husband. Additional features bring us wonderful insights into the Julia Child story from family and friends as well as Smithsonian experts. For those of us unfortunate enough to have missed the Julia Child TV years, the movie and documentaries bring her to life so well that she has become reborn as an old friend.

The movie was delivered in about a week - no problems there. This is an excellent story about a young woman and her relationship with her husband, friends and work-mates as she goes about cooking all the recipes in Julia Child's cookbook. Simultaneously, the film tells the story of Julia Child and her relationship with her husband and friends as she writes her cookbook.

This is now my favorite movie. I've watched it many time when ever I need a pick me up. This is a feel good movie. The acting is great. The story lines is sweet and funny at the same time.
