Disney is the classic jungle book released in 1967. I was a year old when this movie first came out. It's a classic spin on Roger Kipling's tale of The jungle book. And this a little boy named Mowgli is adopted by a group of wolves when he reaches a certain age the wolves find out the tiger shere Khan is returning to the jungle to hunt Mowgli because he hates man. The wolves turn to bagheera to return Mowgli to his village. As Mowgli and bagheera wander through the jungle to return Mowgli to his village they become friends and they meet Baloo the bear when Mowgli meets Baloo The antics really start. They run into characters like King Louie the orangutan, and his crazy monkey crew. They also run it to shere Khan and a bunch of other different characters this is a classic Disney film. If you're a fan of Disney no matter the age this is a must-have and a great release on Blu-ray.

Great film, modern takes on these classic cant match the emotion that the characters show and convey when they try to make them look as real as possible

Colors are rich and strikingly gorgeous on this Blu-ray reproduction. Sound quality is also much improved from my previous VHS and DVD copies. I also really appreciated the Digital HD copy blended into the sales price of this package. I am an avid fan and collector of Disney films and have most of the available titles in my film library. I must say, Best Buy usually offers the lowest prices on Disney films during the first week of release on Blu-ray - if not, they'll price match! Additionally, I was able to get a Twist Drum toy for my baby boy for free as part of a Best Buy promo (limited quantities available in store). Overall, I would enthusiastically recommend this purchase to any fan of Disney films as well as anyone with young kids as this should keep the little ones entertained for many years to come. Some, like I, well into adulthood. Enjoy!

If you haven't ever seen the Jungle Book, it's been a while, or you are simply an animation freak like myself, this is the perfect movie to purchase. It's great for kids of all ages. This is easily a timeless classic. The story and music and artwork are the result of the pure joy its creators put into its production. As a result, there is nothing else except pure joy passed on to us. Ask anyone who admirers or animation or aspires to become one and they will tell you that this one is a masterpiece. The artwork, especially that involved in the convincing blend of realistic anatomy with unforgettable personalities, is truly remarkable. The Jungle Book remains one of the most beloved and influential Disney movies and will continue to hold that distinction for generations to come.

Even if you have the mid-aughts 2-Disc Special Edition DVD, this Blu-ray is worth the purchase, it puts that earlier edition to shame with its great transfer. This is one of my 3-year old son's top 3 favorite films, so the purchase was a must for me - In terms of features, all the great existing bonuses from the 2-disc edition are still here, plus they add a lengthy (storyboarded) 'alternate ending' which would be more aptly described as an 'alternate movie' - a fascinating look at what might have been. There is also a slightly annoying 20 minute infomercial for the Animal Kingdom in Disney World, but that is the only drawback to this wonderful package - get it before it leaves the stores again!

The Jungle Book is a classic with some great songs ('The Bare Necessities' & ' I Wanna Be Like You'), an other beloved childhood memory for Disney filmgoers...if only they could make it look just like it did in the old days instead of digitally scrubbing the art in ways that changes its appearance from its original theatrical look as is so often the case with recent Disney animated film remasters. It's not a hideous screw-up like Sword in the Stone, but they could've retained more of the natural look of the art instead of trying to make it look so pristine. Most people probably won't have a problem with this transfer, but the videophiles & animation purists will have some issues. Hand-drawn animation and hand-painted cels have more of a textural look to them which has been slightly washed out by the digital tools used to 'fix' things, but if you've bought other recent Blu-rays of classic Disney animation, you basically already know what to expect. If you've liked the look of those other films on Blu, you'll like these too. The set has extensive extras, both old EPK style dvd features and new extras, including their pointless habit of including a modern singer reinterpreting a classic Disney movie song. Overall recommended, I also look forward to seeing Jon Favreau's recently-released, well-reviewed live action Jungle Book adaptation.
