This is truly one of the greatest movies of all time. Especially considering the year it was made the dinosaurs couldn't look more real I think it's mostly from the top notch animatronics. There are a few parts where now rewatching that the green screen/CGI effects are a little obvious, like the "welcome to Jurassic Park" scene but for the most part the movie is visually seamless. Great story, I loved this movie growing up and owned it on VHS, it's wonderful to now have it in a more durable format. Great price from best buy, shipped free arrived in excellent condition very happy with my purchase.

Instant classic for any home movie collection. Also a great read if you haven't read the book.

You've already seen this film so I won't waste your time reviewing it. (If somehow you've not seen this move, SEE IT.) The release is excellent - one of the best 3D conversions I've ever seen and a great battery of special features. If your Blu-ray player and TV are 3D capable or you're thinking of upgrading that way, this is a must add to your collection. Otherwise save a few bucks and get the 2D release.

"Jurassic Park" is still the best! Don't get me wrong, "Jurassic World" is a great movie but it has all been done before in "Jurassic Park" and when you consider that the special effects were done in the 1990s, the film still blows you away! The scene where Sam Neal and Laura Dern first see the heard of brachiosaurus' still takes your breath away. The 3D version that was extracted from the 2D elements is great and the Blu-Ray transfer is beautiful! Get some pop-corn, turn down the lights, fire up the Blu-Ray, crank up the surround sound and have a great movie night!

O, how easily we forget to watch for originality in a sequel. How our expectations about special effects dull our ability to hear the tale of one of this century's greatest filmmakers. True, Jurassic Park is a mere collection of action sequences strung together in a thin plot. Character development is minimal, as is depth, but all these complaints can be made of the first film. What Spielberg does that so few directors do these days is make good action sequences. Most action scenes I watch today are simply mindless montages in which no intelligent conflict or suspense is established and therefore nothing is resolved. The good guys fight the bad guys, action, action, good guys win. Spielberg sets up situations for his characters to get out of, gives you some idea of the resolution, then makes you sit in agonizing pain waiting for the resolution.

Steven Spielberg's 1994 blockbuster about a dinosaur amusement park going to hell in a hand basket was (and, in my opinion, still is) a masterpiece, a benchmark in special effects wizardry. The story holds up, the cast is remarkable (and the supporting cast is even better), and the dinosaurs are remarkable. An eccentric millionaire (Richard Attenburrough) develops an amusement park populated by dinosaurs, and invites paleontologists Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum to visit his little island. Of course, everything goes haywire, due in part to the nature of the dinosaurs, and in part to the nature of the humans running the place, including a systems analyst played with mustache-twirling evil glee by "Seinfeld" supporting actor Wayne Knight. Sure, the movie is 21 years old, but it holds up to repeated viewings, even after seeing such CGI masterpieces as George Lucas' "Star Wars" prequels, James Cameron's "Avatar," and any of the Marvel comics movies. I say drag the family into the living room, pop this movie in, and take a trip to Jurassic Park.

This is a great series of movies but hard to keep improving. I hope it continues.

I remember seeing Jurassic Park on the day it was released. I've seen it a few times since, but never even owned the DVD. The Blu-ray version is excellent. The picture quality is excellent, but what really makes it for me is the sound. The sound quality is spectacular without exception. What I enjoyed about it was that even at a low volume, I could still hear everything. At higher volumes, it really shines. The low end sound is perfect - listen for the t-rex coming. The movie itself was just as good as I remember. Very enjoyable and it holds up very well, in my opinion.

So I got this thinking it would be just ok and I like 3d in my home theater so gave it a try, WOW this is the best I have seen as far as taking an older 2d movie and making it 3d. The extra work put into creating this is amazing, this is not just a 2d to 3d conversion, the extras on the disc explain it fully but basically these guys made it 3d AND improved the movie!!

I have seen every Jurassic Park movie since this movie came out. I love every movie including Jurassic World, but this movie is fun and spectacular every time I watch it. I grew up seeing this original movie as a kid and loved it then, and today it still is as good as seeing back then. I'm impressed with how they made this movie fun, look amazing, and have a plot that I really do enjoy. I'll get the other Jurassic Park movies too someday, but today I'm enjoying this awesome movie for around $5. Great movie!

Jurrasic park was a great movie when it was first released. It is even better in 3D. The characters, especially the dinosaurs seem to jump off of the screen. Even though I've seen this movie before, the 3D aspect of it brings in a whole new dimension. I am viewing these movies on a 65" Samsung UHD TV. On a UHD set you are able to view 3D movies in a full 1080P resolution. A conventional HDTV only shows 3D in 540P resolution. The UHD set also eliminates a lot of the negative artifacts common to 3D, making it a joy to watch.

I will always remember the awe and wonder of seeing this movie on the big screen. The special effects were incredible at the time, and still hold up today. But what makes this the best Jurassic Park movie is the story. You actually care about these characters, and root for them, as well as villains you root against. The original can't be beat, and this blu-ray version is a great version of it.

After all the excitement with the release of "Jurassic World", you might want to take a trip back to the movie that started it all "Jurassic Park" and relive the magic of the first film in the series. I actually upgraded from a regular Blu-ray copy to the 3D version. It is a fantastic 3D experience-it is so well done I felt like I was watching it again for the first time. I highly recommend upgrading, You can't go wrong for the price-you get the 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital Copies!

Jurassic Park. Dinosaurs. Jeeps. Flares. Raptors. This was such a huge movie for me as a kid. And yet, I never owned it on DVD or Blu-Ray. What made me finally buy it was the special edition tin case. It comes a circular tin case with a DVD and Blu-Ray copy of the film inside. The case also has a small stand so you can display it prominently among the other films in your collection. Definitely recommend this edition: not just for nostalgia purposes but also for that presentation.

When jurassic park first hit the movie theaters, everyone loved the way the director made it feel like the dinosaurs were real. If we had this good of 3D graphics then, no doubt it would have originally been released in 3D. It is really exciting to watch in 3D and it didn't make me feel disorented like some action packed 3D movies can. My son and I really enjoyed falling in love with this movie all over again. Now all they have to do is make the other two original jurassic movies 3D too!

I got this around the time Jurassic World came out so it included a code for $7.50 towards a ticket to see JW, that was a huge selling point because the Blu-ray was almost free when you factor that in. But disregarding that, this is an absolute must buy for any fan of Jurassic Park that doesn't own it on Blu-ray already. There is a surprisingly massive amount of bonus features, which I love. I thought I knew a lot about the making of the movie, but I learned a ton of new things.

My 5 star review is probably more for nostalgia. The movie is great but remembering the first time I watched it in the theaters as a kid just blew me away. The CGI was absolutely groundbreaking at the time. When the first dinosaur appeared it was like a whole new world. I recently made this purchase to show my children. They liked it a lot but excellent CGI is the norm these days so I don't believe it made as much of an impact as it did to me years ago.

This classic has been made even better! I remember going to the theater when this first came out and was in awe (just like the public) of the images I was seeing on screen. Never before have dinosaurs looked so real. It was full of action, suspense, a dash of humor and some intense horror. As for this 3D version, not only were the 3D effects perfect, but also the new soundtrack in 7.1 just really pushed it over the edge and made it even more exciting! It is a must have.
