i wasnt sure what to expect. Tins arent really a good thing for me to collect since they are round and can't stay on my movie shelf unit. but bestbuy's packaging sort of makes up for it. its basically the plastic sleeve that acts like a stand for the tins to be placed in, which will hold them up nicely on your movie shelves. but even still i wouldn't buy a tin casing again. the only reason i did was because it included an ultra violet code so that i can use it with my flixster account which i love. bestbuy, move away from the tins and just continue with steelbook bluray releases. i love those! either way, still very much love this, it was affordable and well made. the bluray/dvd each come in their own plastic sleeve inside the tin.

I prefer this compared to Jurassic Park 2. I have tried to watch it more than twice to see if I could give it a liking but it just doesn't work for me. This 3rd installment was much more better and this completes my collection as this was the last movie I had to grab.

Thrilling Third Installment of a great Franchise

I'm not even certain if I had ever actually seen this movie before purchasing it on Blu Ray. I remember watching the first one at the drive in, proving how old I am. Often sequels just don't compete with the original movie in terms of acting or general quality. Not so with JPIII. It was a thrill ride from start to finish. I'm glad I opted to grab it on Blue Ray. Even though it is a slightly older movie, the HD quality was great. Dinosaurs look better in HD, you know:) Definitely a valuable addition to my movie collection.

I remember loving the three Jurassic Park movies much more when they originally hit the theaters. With the new Jurassic World coming out, I bought the movies to introduce my sons to the series before seeing the newest one. Like most sequels, the follow up movies are not quite as good (until Jurassic World!), but it is still a fun ride. If you like dinosaurs and action movies, all the Jurassic movies are for you!

    C'mon, it's Joe Johnston

Any movie directed by Joe Johnston (Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, Hidalgo, Captain America, Jumanji, October Sky, The Rocketeer) is great. He has an old fashioned sense of film-making that focuses on character (usually some family relationship issue) and story rather than effects, with a great blend of drama and humor. This film is no exception. The only other film besides the original to get it right.

3rd version getting worn out for a generation

This is still a great movie with great dinosaur scenes--just the story is a little worn out for the generation that grew up with the first great / realistic dinosaur movie scenes from Jurassic Park. My teenage son has seen all 4 of the Jurassic movie collection and doesn't know why the sequels got such bad reviews compared to the original. It is a good movie and story in its own right.

The third installment of the Jurassic Park franchise is a rescue mission of a child that has gone missing on a mysterious island.. The parents talk Alan Grant into helping them find him.. This film in the series is really dark and a crew of men are searching everywhere for the kid.. Is he still around? Lots of new cool dinosaurs are introduced. Many of the raptors have feathers that are accurately depicted in past dinosaur fossils.. A fun adventure film!

Obviously yhis will be a review of the packaging not the movie. The circular case is neat but does have some downfalls. You can't really stand it next to your other movies so it sticks out. The car board has a kickstand on the back which is to allow for it to stand on its own. This cardboard is not very sturdy and will fall down. Great collector item though.

The 3rd installment of the original series is filled with twists and turns and very little Laura Dern. Not sure what happened with that relationship but it seems to smooth itself out. Only one person in this whole franchise is what he seems and that is the lead, Dr. Grant. Alls well that ends well and Tea Leoni and William Macy do a great job as the parents of a lost son.

In my opinion, this better than the 2nd release, but near as good as the original. The Blu-Ray quality does not disappoint and picture quality was above par. At this point, I am a big fan and collecter of this franchise, so my reviews may seem bias. However, I feel that even the most casual fan will enjoy this visit in the world of Jurassic Park!

While certainly not the best in the Jurassic Park franchise, it is good to see Sam Niell's return. There was no DVD in this combo pack, but that's not a huge problem. The price was great for this blu-ray which boasts great video and excellent sound. The item was shipped and arrived very, very quickly. So very satisfied with the experience.

The Film: This time around the main character from Jurassic Park gets the spotlight of running from dinosaurs he hadn't encountered in the first. Along with some other civilians. About the same tone as The Lost World:JP. The Packaging: Again, tin based on the logo, goes along with the other limited edition tins offered only through Best Buy.

I know it's an odd thing to point out, but I really enjoys this film's brevity. The story is simple enough and the action sequences are well executed. There's little, if any, extraneous fluff added to pad the length to the 2 hours of a typical summer blockbuster. 92 minutes of thrills and DINOSAURS!

I loved the third movie so when they re-released all 3 movies individually with new fantastic cover art and NOT just on the slipcase(a huge pet peeve of mine when it's not on the actual cover as well) Great transfer and just a fun chapter in the saga. OH and the digital iTunes hd copy is a great bonus.

World renowned paleontologist gets fooled by mall shop owner and his divorcee into flying to the last place on Earth he'd be willing to go. Dr. Grant somehow misses all cues that this is not some luxury tourist flight through the first 30 minutes of the film and hops on board with almost zero convincing. Everything goes crazy, as expected, and Ellie(from Jurassic Park) has somehow made military connections and sends what would cost millions of dollars to move in soldiers and heavy armaments to save 5 people. The story is mediocre at best, but the action is ok and some scenes that should have been in prior films finally made their way into this one. I would suggest only renting this film. I only bought it to complete my blu-ray set of the series.

Our family has always loved the Jurassic Park series and this third installment in the franchise is one of my son's favorite movies. More dinosaurs than ever before. Special effects are really good but story line is a little weak compared to the first and original movie.

I loved this movie in the theatre and it looks awesome on blu ray. But...too much cgi. This looked great in 2001 but with the way cgi looks now you can tell this is an early attempt at it. Other than that I always liked this movie and thought it was awesome. The blu ray only enhances this film and brings it to another level. Must buy.

The Jurassic park franchise is one of the best action movie series in all of Hollywood. The action is intense, and the dinosaurs looks even greater on Blu-Ray. I own all of the Jurassic park DVD's, but I prefer the Blu-Ray's because of the visual and sound improvements. 5-stars for the price and digital download options.

Not sure went wrong with this film as it had a great director (Joe Johnson of Rocketeer and Captain America fame) and a pretty good initial plot summary. I think what got it was poor dialog and a fairly phoned in acting job from otherwise good actors ... Landing it into a solid B movie category. Also, the special effects for the dinosaurs are of lower quality than the second film, so a bit of a letdown. One nice thing about it, is they did incorporate a couple scenes from the original novels into it that got cut from the first two ... So if you read the books you will be happy to see their inclusion. But other than being a completist ... Or getting a free ticket to Jurassic World, you can prolly skip this outing.
