Sort of a Dinosaur Sim City

This is a fun game once you get. beyond the learning curve of the building tools and accept the progression tree. The graphics are fun, as you can zoom in and out and circle about these dinosaurs as they do there thing. These graphics are not Forza or Assasins Creed, but very nice. There are 3 track you can focus on as you play. Choose scientist, business manager or grow the park through public relations and tourist growth. Regardless of which of the 3 youselect, you are still going to use the skills of the other 2 to grow your park. Yeah, it’s that sort of sandbox game like Sim City, where you balance factors and deal with disasters to expand your park. But tons of people like the Sim City sort of games. If you are one of them, this game is probably something you’d like . . . I do.

Fun game if you enjoy this type of game type. Build your own theme park with resources. If you squander your resources unwisely, the park will go in the negative and bankrupt. If you plan your moves carefully, the park will be successful. Send teams to research fossils, allowing you to lean DNA sequences and build new dinosaurs. Modify the genetics so that the dinosaurs get new traits to survive longer and add entertainment for guests, making the park more successful. Complete missions to gain more resources for funding for your park. Can be very challenging. Rated teen for violence.

If you're into park simulator style games, and especially a fan of this series, then this is a great game. I'm not sure it will convert people that are not into sims; it's relatively simple to play (vs. PC only types of sims that can take advantage of mouse and keyboard support) which might help, but can be limited a bit by one's imagination. Most reviews I read beforehand mentioned that it got a bit tedious after playing for a while, and this can be true, but I felt like it took a solid 25+ hours of gameplay for this to happen. The graphics and sound effects are almost straight from the movie. Some of the objectives are a bit odd and seem out of place (ex. the Security division tasks you with having dinosaurs fight fairly frequently; seems to me they might be against that), and you have to monitor the animals fairly closely at times to make sure you meet all their needs. The types of dinosaurs available is pretty diverse which is a nice touch. All in all, a great game.

Here is a list of pros and cons of the game through my first 20 hours of play: Pros Dinos look great. Visually this game is outstanding. Music is also wonderful and effectively recreates the Jurassic park atmosphere. Lots of things tinker with. Cons: Bad AI. People and dinos looks good at first, but dont stare too long. Not enough customization like other park games (benches, statues, etc) Overall a fun game, may not be for everyone at full price.

I really enjoyed this game a lot. I'm a huge RCT fan so I really enjoyed this since it's similar but with dinos. It was a bit simplistic in the gameplay and would love for more customization and options but overall it's enjoyable and fun to drive around and watch them up close.

A great iteration from Jurassic Park Operation Genesis for the original Xbox. My nephew loves to play the game with me telling me where to place buildings and what dinosaurs to develop. Overall a fun game to play, visuals are good, sound is excellent and true to the franchise.

Jurrasic World Evolution is an excellent game that combines both park building and dinosaur creation. There are so many ways to build and place which dinosaurs you want. Build park reputation and raise income to unlock more options. Very fun game.

Reminds me of a "tycoon" game, but with dinosaurs.

This game is akin to a roller coaster "tycoon" or Sim City, but with dinosaurs and your own dinosaur research facility. I purchased the game for my 11 year old daughter, who loves dinosaurs and everything Jurassic Park/World. The game proved to be a little too sophisticated for her. If you like "tycoon"-like games and dinosaurs/Jurassic Park, then I suspect this game would be for you! If you are looking for something with a little more action, or more simplistic gameplay, this is probably not the best game for you.

It’s an awesome game with great 3d graphics and sounds. It’s amazing how much gaming on console has change since original PlayStation and Xbox. This is a must buy game.

Jurassic World Evolutions is an excellent game for those wanting to build their own dream dinosaur park. It can get intimidating at first but the tutorials will get you on track since there are so much to learn in this game from what dinosaurs to incubate, structures to build, and how much to charge guest for food and souvenirs. A worthwhile game. Also highly collectable since this game had a limited production run so there are not a lot of copies out there.

My son loves dinosaurs, so I got Jurassic World: Evolution to entertain him with fun dinosaur shenanigans as I manage the park, and the game does not disappoint. The dinosaurs are wonderfully rendered, as is the island setting. I've been playing management sims since the original Sim City, and this is a solid entry in that genre. It's a bit complex, and I've found it would probably be better/easier to play on PC than a console, but overall I've had a good time.

My son plays this game and said that it is difficult. He said you have to keep starting over if you go bankrupt so be sure to not lose all of your money. But it is fun when he actually plays. But definitely not worth the $60 we paid for it. He said he thinks it is worth about $20.

There are things to dislike, but overall it’s a nice tycoon type game. Guest happiness is still as important as the dinosaurs, so this isn’t strictly about the dinos. It’s still about making them happy and such, but not the main focus. Creating the park itself is awesome.

Bought this for my son who loves all things dinosaurs. You build your own park and manage it. Good for older kids and teenagers. Kids 10 and younger will get confused and frustrated with all the menus and crisis management of running a park.
