Another great DC animated film

As someone who has been buying these animated films since Superman Doomsday, I can say that this another great addition to the animated library! This story, while not directly linked to the previous dozen or so films, is set for in the same new 52 universe with the same voice cast. It has a lot of magic, some demonic stuff for the heroes to battle, and a little bit of fan service, it still is a good watch for those over the age of 13. I wouldn't recommend it for younger viewers, but if you like any of the last few DC animated films, then pick this up! Also, the little statue is pretty cool.

DC is already known to make excellent videos for the home market. Justice League Dark is no exception. While the recently released Killing Joke was a misstep, Justice League Dark fulfills the role of R rated animation for DC, and also is an incredible film in the process. We are introduced to brand new characters in the DC universe, all well voice acted, with situations and plot that never get boring. Entirely engaging towards the credits scene. Great purchase, great value, and fun movie overall! The little goodies in the Best Buy only bundle (Constantine mini-figure and book) are welcome additions too!

Justice League Dark is great! It left me wanting more , and to see what happens now after the final moments. Story-line was get buckled in cause you're in for a ride. The characters were wonderful and the way each played off the other. I can't wait for the next chapter to come out in a movie. Getting the Constantine figurine is a plus to add to my other figurine collection, and the graphic novel in hard bound form is also a plus ( I am half way through it). What are you waiting for? Go and see this darker side of the DC Universe in full thrown action against evil forces!

I was among those who bemoaned the loss of Constantine when NBC decided to pull the plug. Matt Ryan is a perfect John Constantine and he takes center stage in this video that introduces magic into the "New 52" DCAU series. Though I would love to see more creative freedom instead of confining almost every new DCAU movie into the New 52 continuity they have built, it does give us the opportunity to see a real conflict within Batman as he wrestles with the existence of real magic in his normal world.
Great soundtrack, as well.

Justice League Dark is a new entry in the DCAU and I have to say this is a great one. Dealing with the supernatural side of the hero universe the league calls in some of the lesser known but magical heroes to help out with a new threat, I loved this film and was excited to see Zatanna and Constantine team up with Swamp Thing.
This movie is not for the kiddies as it is rated R and it deserves it. Plus you get a sneak preview of the next DCAU which is Teen Titans: The Judah's Contract

This is one of the better DCU films released recently, despite not having the general cast of characters with only Batman being the normal cast minus a small opening of the JL. The inclusion of the new characters, Constantine & Swamp Thing make this story far different than anything released thus far. The story is good but at time can feel like a Scooby Doo mystery with adult themes. The acting and overall plot redeems this part of the film. Lots of blood & gore, definitely not for the kids.

An Enjoyable Evening

Much better than I expected, actually (given the travesty of the Judas Contract film which DC TOTALLY ruined by changing the cast, hence the story). An enjoyable evening - but I sincerely wish DC TV Universe was on one side of the street, and the DC Made-for-DVD Animated Universe was on the other; and the latter were faithful adaptations of the comics. If they needed to be R (like Killing Joke) - I can live with that, rather than ruining the story by making it PC.

I've seen so many complaints about this film 'not being the Justice League', and it's mildly frustrating for two reasons: This film is based on a pre-existing team by the same name (so, it isn't false advertising), and it's so much better to have something different after all of the Justice League films we've gotten. I recommend it for Constantine and Zatanna especially. Swamp Thing is great, but criminally underutilized, so I hope we see more of him in the future.

So we watched this before I bought it for my boyfriend. I was able to get my hands on the Best Buy exclusive just barely and im glad i did. We got a semi low number and he refuses to open it. :) Hes a collector of comic book, dc and marvel amongst others. Overall good movie and pretty awesome set. Im kinda down i cant read the graphic novel because he wont open it but im very happy with this selection and collectors and exclusives are always pretty awesome. :)

Justice League Dark is one of the best DC animated movies in the New 52 Universe that has been around since Justice League War from a few years back. While parts of JL Dark seem rushed or directionless, these drawbacks are easily overshadowed by seeing the cast of characters assembled, many for the first time in animation. Though rushed, the story is fun, the animation great, and the movie is another on the line of DC animated movies that are just fun to watch

Another great DC Comics film. They have done a great job with the animated films I wish they were on their game with their live action films. I have kept up with each DC Comics release. Each animated film has been great and has made some strong impressions. I would like to see some of the series in the comics put in animated form. Kingdom Come would be great to see as live action. I did like how they focused on other Justice Leagues in this film too.

Not an epic movie, but a pretty good one. Justice League Dark showcases the more mystical/magical characters of DC's Justice League. It's theme and overall story is a lot darker (pun intended) then the DCU Animated films most fans are used to seeing. It also the 2nd R-Rated movie DCU has ever released.

I’m not too invested into the comic but this film as itself was just an ok movie. It isn’t as good as some of the other films.

I rarely get caught off guard about who the real villain is when it comes to a mystery, but when he nearly kills himself to eliminate himself as an suspect... That was clever. I understand Superman's involvement being minimal due to his weakness to magic, but I feel Wonder Woman could have done more. Batman was way too cynical the entire time and the JL Dark argued among themselves too much. But then again, I guess that is how one stirs up drama.

Finally a DC movie focusing on the occult characters. Good animation as always. Matt Ryan voicing Constantine was totally perfect. There are only 2 things that disappointed me. Not enough Swamp Thing and the music choices were horrible. They used these great tones and sounds to make it dark and edgy, then for some unknown reason they pumped dubstep over top of the great background music. TOTALLY killing the mood they tried to set.

As Cartoon movies (not Animation) go this is a good one.
When asked (in this movie) how he survives?
Batman replies "I have a Butler".
Is Batman throwing Alfred (the Butler) under the bus?
Is he about to place all of the blame on his longtime faithful servant?
POW, BAM, SPLAT...
See this movie and YOU decide for yourself,
Same bat-time, Same Bat Blu-ray player... :o)
Enjoy it during the snow storm tonight.
Be well.

If you've ever wonder where DCs answer to Doctor Strange was, this is it. JLA Dark deals with what happens in the DCU when Demons, Magic and Mystical Mayhem come about. John Constantine and his band handle the stuff too creepy and mystical for the big 7. In this case, Batman, the one hero that by his nature, sort of straddles the supernatural , shows up to sort of legitimize the misfits. Great Movie for all fans of DCs weirder side.

The JLA and Avengers cover the action in their respective universes but Dr. Strange and JLA Dark deal with the magic. I wish these characters were released in film and tv. Some of them are but I realized that this was a better medium for them. It was a nice touch to have the voice actor for Constantine be who they selected. It will make you want to buy Constantine at Best Buy and not the movie LOL

Wow, they hit the mark with this one. the tension between John Constantine and Zatanna was a bit overdone, but otherwise they nailed his character and how people react around him. the Demon was on point and at his best. The illustrations were excellent and the use of Batman as the group cement was good too! Bats was there, but not the overwhelming presence he can be. last, it was great to hear Bats go :hmmmm."
