Rated R for a couple of reasons. But mostly for thematic elements and violence. The animation is excellent and the story is pretty spot on. It is not directly tied to a particular comic story, but definitely draws inspiration from the New 52. Matt Ryan voices John Constantine, which I enjoyed. Check it out for yourself if you're a fan of Constantine, Dead Man, or Zatana. Very enjoyable.

WB Animation (Formerly WB Premieres) continues to shine with their DC Comics animated movies. Justice League Dark follows the well...dark side of DC with Vertigo characters joining in the mix. The look is solid and the animation is top notch. DC stories are always well put together. After a slight dip with the Batman: Killing Joke (to diverse from the book it was based on) JLD gets things right.

I enjoyed the movie but I think it was just ok. Not memorable and I would consider it only on sale.

I'm a huge Constantine and Swamp Thing fan and like the JLD comic, so was cautiously excited about this release, despite trailers not really exciting me. Loved this, thought it was much better than I hoped for. Ryan and O'Mara are great in their roles. Pretty sure I'll give any DC animated movie directed by Jay Oliva after this. Extras included a panel with the cast and crew that was a fun watch.

Best Buy was the only retailer offering this DVD with the plastic figure and the mini graphic novel......great stuff....the only issue I have with these types of promotional items is that sometimes they sell out if I don't get to the store that very day when it opens.....so, the point I'm making is that perhaps they should consider stalking more of the product so it doesn't sell out so quickly...

Great comic book movie!!! Lots of exciting action!! Cool to just sit back and enjoy!!!

I have gotten this film from my local library twice! Each time I love watching so I went out bought me a copy when it was on sale. I am happy that Matt Ryan was able to reprise his role as Constantine here and on Arrow and the Legends series on the CW. The animation is very dark, scary, and little more violent for the little kids under 13 or 14. beside that I love it!

This is a great animated flick featuring the dark version of the Justice League. As a fan of the Constantine character, I was very excited to not only see this dvd offered but to see it come in this great set with bth a graphic novel AND a figurine of Constantine. I loved the short-lived Constantine TV show, so I was also excited to have Matt Ryan come back and voice Constantine for this.

This movie is definitely not for kids. Lots of actions and gores for older kids throughout. I used to have to get Japanese anime to watch this level of adult theme movie. The movie plot is sometime confusing due to the kind of time travel this movie was based on. I think almost all time travel movie I saw has some confusing parts as I'm often lost.

So this Justice League does not have the typical members you think of when you think Justice League. It does have Batman, but he is always kind of an outsider anyways. Then it is Constantine, Swamp Thing, the Demon, etc Overall pretty good adaptation. I have not read any of the corresponding comics so I can't say how true to the source it is. But stand-alone worth the watch

Another good entry in the DC Animated library. The movie itself may not be as great as the other DC Animated Features but it is a fun look at the magical side of DC that has only been explored a handful of times in the long running animated universe. Seeing John Constantine leading the way was a nice treat, especially with Matt Ryan reprising the role of the Hellblazer.

I have said this a gazillion times. DC animated films to home media are WAAAAAAAAYbetter than DC theatrical releases! Dark was gruesome, action oriented, pivoting, FUNNY, and engaging the entire time. Introduced characters that were not familiar to non DC 'nerds' (I am one) and brought their characters to life with history in less time than a 3 hour movie. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Justice League Dark follows some of the Vertigo and magic & horror related DC characters as they investigate incidents of people seeing demons. There are instances of blood, violence, and the use of swear words, so this may not be suitable for younger viewers. As for me, I enjoyed it an will watch it again, even though I know it is varied from the comic books.

Different type of movie than others. Personally didn't expect the movie to be called justice league yet the Justice League wasn't seen much just Batman. I did like how Batman met with spell casters characters that made the story more interesting and funny at scenes where you see Batmans reaction. I bought it not knowing what it was based on yet came to like it a lot.

I was happy to see a DC movie that didn't have the most famous characters in it. Constantine, Swamp Thing and other lesser known characters were awesome. I'd even say that they were more interesting than the regular founding members of the JL. I almost forgot that Etrigan was in this and I remember him from my comic days. Pick this one up. You won't be disappointed.

I thought this was a great DC movie as it is competing with Marvel's release of Dr. Strange. DC in this film showed that it can have supernatural elements with its characters. The movie was well paced and was easy to follow along. The intro of characters and origins fit in neatly and did not leave me guessing what and where. All in all, a good movie.

Great story of mysticism, mayhem and mystery, with iconic and less known but great characters of a different realm in the superhero pantheon. Follow Batman as he enlist Zatanna, Deadman, the Demon, Swamp Thing and Constatine to fight the Dark forces controling people into selfless lethal acts...great story, great action, great action...check it out

We all know how the Justice League defends Earth from threats from other worlds, but what about other things like magical beings? That's what the Justice League Dark is for. Watch as Batman recruits characters like Jason Blood, Etrigan, Zatanna and John Constantine in a fight to stop the planet from evil. A good watch for an afternoon.

Intriguing story concerning our favorite heroes from the Justice League. And this one adds a bit more with John Constantine and a bit of the supernatural. As always, DC does a wonderful job bringing us new stories and adventures. This edition is also very nice with the addition of The Constantine figure along with the Graphic Novel. Outstanding value!

DC Comics once again strikes gold with another great animated adventure. This movie includes characters that aren't A-listers, but are still well known such as Deadman and Swamp Thing. It's also not for kids as there are numerous scenes that heavily push the R rating. Now, if only they could get their act together on the live-action front.
