Great Story, but Less Action Than Expected

***Spoiler Alert***Read at your own risk***This movie introduces the Teen Titans to the DC Animated Universe based on the New 52 DC storyline. Despite the title, there are not as many action scenes involving the Justice League versus the Teen Titans as one might have expected. In fact, the summary mentions a showdown pitting the Justice League "against the likes of Beast Boy, Starfire, Blue Beetle and Nightwing," but Nightwing is not involved in the actual fighting (Robin is, of course--it could have been a typo). Still, the story itself is a good one, and the interactions between Damien Wayne (Robin) and the Teen Titans is interesting, even if ultimately predictable.

I love the direction DC is going with these films! This movie setup so many other possibilities for other movies. Batman has long been my favorite DC character, but Damian Wayne “heir to the world's greatest crime-fighter, and its greatest super-villain” has easily run in to the favorite zone as a strong number two and maybe even number one after all the new Batman movies and this one. He is by far one of the greatest DC characters every scripted and doodled. This movie is full of action and the storyline is ok but the teen titans performed in the limited story and overshadowed everyone else to legitimize their group. Watch this and love the direction as DC continues to dominate the cartoon movie scene.

The last few DC animated films have been kind of a hit or miss (i.e. Throne of Atlantis and JL War). Thankfully, this film sorta redeems those disappointments and keeps the momentum going with the recently released Batman V Superman film (which is a masterpiece by the way). I wouldn't say this movie is amazing or spectacular, but it is entertaining and it's a must have for any fan of JL and Teen Titans. The film is actually quite enjoyable and has a nice balance of action and comedy - courtesy of TT. Knowing they're young teens, silly immature humor and comments are expected and I feel it works well here to balance the ultra serious JL. They injected just enough humor to keep things flowing properly

This is a great story in the DC Animated universe and you dont really have to know the characters to follow the action. The only problem I had was in comparison to the other stories that this one fell short of the high bench marks set by those films. It is like comparing Godfather 1 to 2. Both are great but this one was the lesser of the 2. You need to buy these though as this is a great story and fits in the universe perfectly. The extra scene seemed though rushed. For those who are going to watch the live version of Justice League please watch this film first...Not tied into the film but it explains a lot about the characters that might not be so well known in the movie.

    Good Movie, Nice Figure

This is a decent movie, though it does rank lower on the the list of DCU animated films for me. I grew up watching the original Teen Titans animated series on Cartoon Network, so it was nice seeing all those characters together again in this movie. This is a more light-hearted film compared to Gods and Monsters or Justice League Dark. I found some moments kind of cheesy, but I thought the plot and characterization were good. I'd rate it a 6/10. The collectible figure of Robin is okay quality, not the best paint job. It looks nice on display, but don't expect it to be a high-end figure. I wouldn't recommend buying the deluxe edition for more than $15..

DC Animated movies are by far more phenomenal than their live action movies. The Only draw back that continues to hang them up is the focus on the cash cows like Batman, Superman, Justice League when they have ye tot tap the plethora of characters in their well. This movie, while still houses the Justice League they take somewhat of a backseat to the Teen Titans. This isn't a hard sell with such animated series like "Young Justice" and "Teen Titans" have outdone themselves in the past. One can only wonder what took DC Animated so long. All around great film and interaction between characters with hopefully more to come.

    Teen Titans time to shine

DC is going pretty strong with most of it's animated movies. This is a pretty good example of these movies. I "think" it follows this sorta established Animated DC Universe, but there seems to be a few details here and there that don't always match. But in any case, it's a good movie. It really focuses on the Titan members and gives them each a good moment to shine. Downside, it's got the most annoying Robin in it (Damien), but it's still pretty good. Plus it's on Blu-ray and the handy-dandy digital copy too. Can't beat that. The Robin figure was pretty cool too...but I'm pretty sure I've already lost it, but that's on me.

Gone are the days of one-dimensional characters and plots so full of holes that laughing about them was part of the entertainment. DC continues the trend of loaded scripts, meticulously choreographed and executed with a relentless pace. The characters have realistic personalities and associated flaws. A lot goes on between the lines. Even if you don't like it, you would at least know the producers skimped on nothing and you got a lot for your money. The TT helped inject much needed originality and a fresh angle to the JL. Some commenters didn't like that but c'mon, everything JL has already been do

In the war between marvel and dc, dc should stick to the animated attempts. Set within the New 52 the characters and story are not always the same as most might remember. This lends the movie the same issue the comics have, not everything lines up correctly. Nightwing, starfish and cyborg act as if they know each other and we're all titans but cyborg only reason entry became cyborg as well as beast boy and raven are unknown new superheros. There is poor attempts to make Robin and raven a live interest but the Damian Wayne version of Robin is too unlikable for it to not feel forced. That said it's still a good movie even with the flaws.

Justice League vs. Teen Titians: the name of the movie was deceiving. This is like watching moving comic books. Enjoyed the twist to the movie and how the Teen Titans got together as a team, the animation is much better than the TV series on Cartoon Network. I enjoy collecting the DC Universe on video where I can watch it any time I wish and even have a DC marathon. I would highly recommend this movie to the young and young at heart. The Teen Titans make their mark in this animated DC Universe movie. It's a slightly different spin on their origins as a team, but pretty true to the spirit of the Teen Titans. It's fun and Cyborg makes a good transition as well. Not my favorite of the DC animated movies, but still fun and it did a good job of showcasing each character. Oh, and you get a neato Robin figure. Can't beat that? ...well, unless you are Nightwing.

I have seen most of the DC animated movies and my kids who are 8 and 7 loved the Teen Titans, Young Justice, and Justice League series. I previewed this movie before letting the kids watch it and it has nowhere the graphical violence of say the Batman animated movies. There were a few parts the kids didn't quite understand (e.g., had to explain who the new Robin was) but that was fine. This is now one of their favorite movies and are looking towards the next Teen Titans movie.

I am not a fan of Damian Wayne, I know I'm in the minority on this point but it's true he's not a good Robin. With that said it was good to see the Titans and watch them show Damian that you can let your guard down and trust others. We finally get to see the Teen Titans with a little edge holding their own against the Justice League, hopefully DC Animated will now give us the story line we have all wanted since the DCA universe started..."The Judas Contract" wait till the end of the credits for a sneak peek...

I'm a long time comic book reader and I always look forward to the next DC Animated movie. This was a fun movie but it is based on the New 52 Universe so some characters felt a little "off" to me. There's just something different about Superman than the one I'm used to. And it's strange seeing Cyborg in the Justice League. I'm used to seeing him as a Teen Titan. The animation quality is pretty good but I really would like to see a return to the animation style of the old Batman: TAS cartoons.

I've been collecting these sets since "Son of Batman". I really love collecting the figurines and the graphic novels that some of these sets include. This one offers a side story that complements the video. I loved seeing the big guns: Superman, WonderWoman, etc; playing a different role. This version is a great change of pace for our so loved superheroes, and also, it is good to see the underdogs step up to the challenge. In my opinion, this is a must-buy.

DC animation is killing Marvel's cartoons they way Marvel's live action universes(they got two, x-men and avengers) are killing DC's. If your kid is a fan of the Titans from their shows then they might be a bit confused about how things are here, since it follows, continuity wise, from all the recent DC cartoon videos. But watching the recent ones introducing this version of the Justice League, and Damien Wayne as Robin aren't bad ways to spend a Saturday night with your kids either.
