I grew up on the animated DC Bruce Timm shows Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. This movie is a love letter to those shows and really captures the look and vibe of them. It’s a great adventure that my nephews and I really liked. Well done,DC animated!

Good movie, nice packaging, love getting the digital version. I like collecting the DC box sets with the figures so of course I had to get this. The figure included has no articulation.

If you are fan of of Bruce Timm films/series and Justice League, you will love this. Sam Liu does an excellent job directing. Basically, future villains come back in time to find Jessica Cruz, a new Green Lantern recruit to assist them in freeing one of their partners in crime. Our heroes have to unite to try to save Jessica and the whole time stream. The interesting part is that through all of this Jessica is battling her own inner demons due to witnessing the murder of her friends and she wants no part of being a Green Lantern or a Justice League member. However, with the help of Star Boy, a hero from the future, who is also dealing with his own mental demons, she slowly gains the confidence to be the hero she can be. A solid entry with great animation action. The artstyle is beautiful to those who loved Justice League in comparison to the New 52 styled movies that have been recently released. Gorgeous in 4K and also comes with a digital 4K code. Overcoming fear, taking down the bad guys and sacrifice for your friends are some of the positive messages throughout. Highly recommended!

    Another Strong DCAU Release!!

DC Animated Universe movies have always been such an extreme pleasure to watch. Stories that are well told with great voice actors and stellar animation. Justice League vs Fatal Five is no exception. The greatest joy for me is that the animation style is identical to the Justice League Unlimited animation so it feels like a continuation of that series. Add to that the returning voicecast of George Newburn as Superman, Kevin Conroy as Batman, and Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman who all return from the Justice League Animated Series. The special features for this film are great. You get a feature length commentary by the filmmakers, a 20 minute first look at their next upcoming movie Batman: Hush which will be an adaptation of the famous comic, and two featurettes in the new characters to the animated realm: Jessica Cruz Green Lantern and Starboy. Also included is a digital redemption code so you can have a digital copy for your devices. This is a great pick up for all DC fans and is a very action packed film that before the Justice League. Well worth picking up and sharing with the family.

DC animation still on a winning streak

DC's animation arm has always been able to pull off a great story. "The Justice League Vs. The Fatal Five" is another one of those stories. It's also an excuse to use the voice actors from Cartoon Network's Justice League, which embody the character's they play better than any group so far. As usual, the writing is excellent and the storytelling superior. The big battle scenes are well staged and there's a good bit of Batman which is always a good thing. I'd prefer the complete lineup from the original Cartoon Network series, but shifting the membership around makes it a bit more interesting. The Jessica Cruz Green Lantern gets off to a slow start, but becomes very likable by the end. This is the kind of stuff I wish DC would use in its movies, but, hey, keep the cartoons coming.

    Triumphant Return to the DCAU!

Justice League vs. The Fatal Five represents a triumphant return to the DC Animated Universe that began in 1992 with Batman: The Animated Series and ended with the series finale of Justice League Unlimited in 2006. Voice actors Kevin Conroy, George Newbern, and Susan Eisenberg slip back into their iconic roles as DC’s Trinity—Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman—without skipping a proverbial beat. Plus, the introduction of Green Lantern Jessica Cruz and Starboy from the Legion of Superheroes allows the film to explore issues regarding trauma and mental health while telling an engaging, action-packed story. Kudos to writers Jim Krieg and Eric Carrasco, director Sam Liu, and executive producer Bruce Timm!

Good Movie for Comic Fans, Surprising Extras

The movie is a fun treat for both fans of DC Comics, and fans of the 2000s "Justice League"/"Justice League Unlimited" animated series. It may seem like a longer episode of JLU at times, but that's something worth having for fans of that era. The extras, while not many, were touching, mainly focusing on diversity in superhero comics, and positive focus on heroic characters dealing with mental illness. They handled these topics with grace, and are worth watching for younger fans that deal with these issues, and older fans to expand their horizons. Overall, while the film may not be perfect, it, and the documentary features, have their hearts in the right place.

    Nothing Fatal About This Blu-ray

When visitors from another time (1000s of years in the future) arrive, it's up to an unsure Lantern to figure out why she is the center of this confusion. It's refreshing to see a health condition playing an important part in a superhero story and it's very respectful of the way it is portrayed. There is also a great scene that recalls past Justice League members. And the original voice cast for Superman, Wonder Woman, and Batman are back (from Unlimited). The Blu-ray quality is very good and the extras are informative.

I didn't know what to make of this movie at first because not to many of these DC Universe Animated Original Movies have been very good recently. But this one wasn't to bad. There were some things here and there that were dumb moments but they weren't to bad. Since I'm a 90's kids and I grew up with the Justice League TV series and this movie went back to that it felt great again to see the characters I saw back in the old days. If you gave up on these movies give this a try it's a fun time you'll like to re-watch.

It was great to see another Justice League animated movie. They used other members of the JL such as Mr. Terrific. Thye brought in a new GL from the comics, her namei s Jessica Cruz. It made the story a little mor interesting as opposed to using a well established GL such as Hal Jordan. It gives the audience a chance to get to know the character.Seeing the JL take on The Fatal Five was kind of cool. I enjoyed this movie. I give it a thumbs up.

If you had told when Justice League Unlimited ended that we’d get a movie over 15 years later which some great fight sequences, an interesting lead character with a mental illness, and a surprising amount of violence, I would’ve called you a liar but here we are. This movie fits right into the DCAU and feels like a “lost” episode. Not the greatest special features as usual with these releases but the movie makes up for it.

For a character who 1st appeared in comics in 2013 it's amazing to see her make it to animation as much as she has. This is the 4th animated incarnation of Green Lantern Jessica Cruz (after the old Superhero Girls, Rage of Atlantis, and the new Superhero Girls) and it is worth the watch. While not exactly an origin film we still watch a relatively new hero struggling with new powers and what she wants to do with them.

This movie hit on a lot of points for me. As a huge Batman fan and a Legion of Superheroes fan, I was excited for the “crossover.” I thought the story was good and thought provoking and very human in a fantastical universe. A little more adult than others if you have children to consider. I truly enjoyed it and find it a great addition to my DC animated collection.

I actually didn't buy this movie right away because it didn't really get me hyped up like most DC Animated titles do. But I bought it and watched it, and I actually really liked it. Learned about a few new characters that I never knew about before, and really liked them too. If you're a fan of DC animation, I would recommend watching this title at least once.

If you liked the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, you will appreciate this entry. They got a few of the original voice actors like Kenvin Conroy and Susan Eisenberg (Batman & Wonder Woman voice actors and Tim Daley's Superman. Good plot showing that even heros can have inner demons to deal with. Great story telling as usual. Worth a look.

I loved this movie. the animation was just like the old justice league animated style cartoons. I love how dc every other movie introduces people to some lesser known heroes and villains and brings them to the main stage.. Its refreshing, this happens with miss martian, mr terrific, jessica cruz, starboy, and the fatal five.
