Worked just as good as the fancy one in my rental last weekend. My 2001 sequoia has older speakers and steering wheel yet connected beautifully and was so easy to navigate.

Purchased the stereo to update my 2005 Mustang into 2018. They also installed it very professionally because I hate anyone touching my car but houghly recommend.

I installed this head unit, along with new speakers and a backup camera. I went with the Maestro R1 unit and their cable to adapt to my car and this combination was exactly what I was looking for. My steering wheel controls work, the head unit serves up car info such as tire pressures, voltage and a variety of gauges. Everything works as expected. The sound is excellent with an enormous amount of control over the entire system including fairly granular audio control. The interface takes a little getting used to but it's manageable. Once you have your favorite icons in your preferred locations and all of that, it becomes more user friendly. The head unit misbehaved a little when connected to my phone but a firmware update from the JVC website corrected the issues. Android Auto has matured into a user friendly and reliable driving platform. I use Waze, Google Play Music, TuneIn, etc. on a daily basis and the technology upgrade is a welcome edition to the daily commute. The head unit toggles between built-in functions and Android Auto pretty seamlessly. For what it's worth, I tried Weblink for a few short minutes before ditching it. As an Android user I see absolutely no reason for it. It's a blemish on an otherwise stellar unit. The only thing I would wish for is the ability to hide icons that I don't use such as Weblink, Sirius, etc. I would highly recommend this head unit for the audience it is intended for.

Purchased this on a whim at a great price on Black Friday. I have an older (2006) Toyota Sequoia with the JBL system factory installed. I will be moving in the nearer future to a new city, and wanted navigation capability before moving. I use iPhones, and like CarPlay, so that was a no-brainer. The system is easy to use, works great with CarPlay and I installed a backup camera just because and it works well with that. I have not tried the WebLink or whatever it's called app that is built in, as CarPlay gives me all the functionality I want/need. The funny, and great, thing is, my car stereo sounds phenomenally better than it did before with the factory installed radio. This little radio pushes the JBL speakers to a point to almost rival a complete system install. I love it and crank the tunes much more than I would before. Highly recommended for a cheaper way to get CarPlay in your car!

just installed, still learning everything. really love the bluetooth connection from my phone to head unit. easy to setup and sounds great! love the spotify app on both carplay and the head unit itself. still having a little bit of an issue using Waze, but should be able to figure it out in the near future. WeblinkforJVC could be a little better, but im not complaining.

Just had installed and I am very happy! Way better then the cheesy stock stereo GM put in it, blue tooth functions perfectly, and since I have an Ipod and Sirius radio, will almost never have to listen to regular radio unless I have to, hah! Once I set up voice command, will be even sweeter. Plus, the Best Buy tech that installed this for me did an excellent job,,, Love it!

If you are use to not having stand alone navigation gps this is hard to get use to. Works off direct line into cell phone so if you are driving get have to check something it kicks you off navigation. Sound great not many function for the money. Installer very knowledgeable and great to get updated information about product.

The stereo system in my wife's Honda died so we hit up Best Buy for a replacement. I wanted something that sounded nice, had Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and dual Bluetooth and this unit has it all. Sounds good with easy to use interface...

At first I was sketchy about a JVC. But my roomate wanted this one, and It works great with both Apple and Android. It's easy to figure out. I will be getting the same one again for my truck!

Great radio for Android Auto. Easy to use and a great price!

After heavy research and in-store hands-on, I grabbed this unit as it was at a very good price. I installed it with a Maestro SW controller into a 2009 Altima with an aftermarket backup camera. Love the flexible features for the audio section. Android Auto is working well, haven’t tried Apple CarPlay yet. So far, so good.

I bought this stereo because I like the jvc brand , the sound is very clear with minimal distortion when turned all the way up, love the apple play ,much safer than texting and driving all in all good radio, also can see the display in the sunlight , with hardly any solar glare

I’m a traveler and I hate having to hassle with my phone while on the road, this device allows me to stay focused on the road and be very cautious all while still being able to talk and text by communicating with the system .

Solid in dash receiver and a huge upgrade from factory stereo in a 2010 Civic. Touchscreen is bright and responsive, CarPlay is a great UI, Bluetooth is quality. Only cons, built in Waze app is quirky switching back and forth between it and CarPlay, so stuck with Maps until iOS 12 comes out. Also, no remote.

This radio was a great addition in a 2013 Volkswagen Passat. The screen is just right and it’s functions well. I only wish the JVC app would work better - when it does, it’s amazing.

Put this in my daughter’s car so she could have a backup camera. The screen size is great and the Apple car play is great. No physical volume buttons is the only drawback.

I am amazed someone signed off on the JVC app. It is pitiful, I would liken it to someone at G.M. Letting a car with two flat tires leave the factory, someone should lose their job. Car play is great, the hands free phone is great and once I dialed in the sound it sounds excellent. If you only want to use this for apple car play then this is a well priced unit.

Excellent radio for Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay. This radio has great sound quality it works great with hands-free calling. Would definitely recommend this radio.

Stereo works great. I am using Android Auto and installed a backup camera as well. Everything works great.

It does what I expected it to do, run Android auto. Making my stock speakers sound better was a plus.
