Purchased this because I wanted CarPlay in my vehicle and for the mirroring feature. I sit in my car a lot and so that was a draw. Mirroring did not work via app or direct cable. The install seems to be fine (although I randomly get GPS isn’t detected popups). We had issues connecting the second phone at first (had to do a whole reset). But the issue is the information screen will pop up unprompted and show you PSI, and battery voltage when you just want your CarPlay screen. Which then requires you to push the home button, then CarPlay again. So it hasn’t been plug and play essentially for us. When things like that happen during use it’s frustrating. The screen looks nice but the user friendliness of it just isn’t there. This will probably require me to go back to installation (JVC tech support isn’t easy to find or contact, Best Buy tech support tells you to make an appt). So overall disappointed, feel pretty stuck with it since out of exchange and cost of install) and just want it to work like we need it to. So at this point, would not buy again or recommend

Well, worth the upgrade actually ended up doing more than what I had expected it to do was gonna add amps on my mid highs and I’m second-guessing that with the control I have in this head it wasn’t expected and the balance to the sound between the dash tweeters and the center and the doors to get that perfect level on the image amazed me also having detailed crossover points and the equal equalizer big pluses…first …JVC product I’ve owned

Headunit is amazing and works so smoothly and sounds amazing when paired with a dsp the 4-5v pre outs give crazy sound

Product doesn’t do what it says with ease, and GPS freezes then reroutes, for instance, i’ll drive an hour then 20 min down the road it’ll freeze then say 1min then kick back to an hr, also screenmirroring was a mislead, it’s as if you’re screensharing on facetime, i recommend the pioneer dmh more than this one foresure, the size of the radio is nice though, one last thing, if you have a 2003 avalon it’ll block your A/C a bit

Great assistance in picking this unit out. Great install, quick and really happy with how it works in my truck.

Pros: Product is very goo. It is big and clear. Bluetooth is very responsive. Big icons and touch screen responds quickly. Cons: Settings are not intuitive. Need to navigate multiple screens. For example: finding the sound settings was not intuitive. It was buried under multiple layers. Menu is not very well layed out.

So far the head unit has worked as advertised with no issues. The screen display is remarkably clear and apps have transitioned well. Only gripe I would have is the amount of fingerprints left behind lol. That’s a personal preference. For the price and included functions, I am a very happy customer and would recommend this unit to anyone in need of a solid double din head unit. On top of that, sales staff were amazing during my purchase.

I've had this for about a month now, and so I'm seeing the things i didn't notice in the beginning. First, the long press on thy volume up button sropped working, it used to wirk, and it still works for the volume down, so I know it's a feature.. but it stopped working. Second, there seems to be a 5 second delay when using the android auto an making calls. It's kind of annoying. Also, i use an ipod connected through a usb in my console to listen to music, the unit doesn't give a playlist, only thr song that playing, so it's a surprise what song will come on next. Overall, it's pretty decent. The touchscreen responds, aside from the volume up button, as i would expect, and it's large enough to see what I'm looking at.

This touchscreen is absolutely fire i love it has a ton of features i also have a sub and amp in my car and it made the system sound 10x better the screen and quality are excellent i would give this product a perfect 100

Looks great in my Passat. Not too large. Doesn’t block vents or climate controls but has a nice large display. Also sounds great on my Pioneer speakers. Just using the head unit’s power and plenty of volume and clarity.

Pro’s- Screen is great. Being able to move the monitor up/dwn and sideways is very nice. Thats about it. My installer Jake. Awesome dude. A+. Con’s- does NOT mirror your phone. Tried multiple ways. Says use mini hdmi so I bought (very expensive ) and still doesn’t work. Firmware updated. Same issues. False adversing. Had to pay extra and go with Alpine rx’r. Time lost and very disappointed.

This product took a little bit to get the hang of but was pretty user friendly the more I used it. I love the capability to listen to Spotify or YouTube Music. The mirror option allowed me to stream video but then acted like I needed to pay for a subscription to use the app a second time. It would be nice if no subscription was required to do so. I like the built-in navigation via google maps and the options to change the screen. It has multiple backgrounds available, but I was unable to personalize the background.

The radio is ok, it doesn't connect to the car right off, it takes a while to come on and connect. The backup camera is ok. The music skips throughout the songs. The bass in it is very nice. I would recommend it if they can fix these issue but,if you need something asap the price is ok but I think it should be cheaper. I bought the radio from Best Buy and got it hooked up there as well. My experience was the best the tech was awesome.He was very nice,friendly, patient, went over and beyond I would highly recommend him if they could clone him they should. I never went to a place of business where I felt welcoming it's like I knew him for a long time. He tried everything in his power to fix the issue before I had to purchase the JVC car radio. Randy please keep up the good work and if I could ask for a raise I would. I'm a very satisfied customer because customer service is a big thing to me.

The product works well. My feedback is about not being able to manual set the time. It needs a GPS signal and there was no gps antenna included in the packaging. There should be an option to set the time manually.

Very nice screen and easy to install. I love the fact that the angle of the screen can be adjusted to avoid reflection and make it easier to see. Excellent sound quality.

Sometimes doesnt connect, takes forever to connect a new device and has issues with apple car play after using android for some time.

Went for the JVC 9” inch screen to update the look in my truck. Radio functions are great and looks great in my truck !

I love this JVC Head Unit. My car didn’t come with Apple CarPlay and so I finally decided to get a head unit with it. It connects to my phone via Bluetooth immediately after turning on my car and starts playing my music. Being able to text with voice is SO convenient while driving so I can keep my eyes on the road. My only complaint is changing the volume requires me to spam the volume button and I can’t hold it down. Either on the steering wheel or on the unit itself. But it’s not a big deal and manageable.

This new system in my pick up is fantastic! The surround sound make a beautiful experience.
