I ordered these for my father, who was insistent on getting headphones like my Bose QuietComfort 15's for their sound quality & active noise-cancellation, but he took my recommendation on this product & now thanks me profusely for changing his mind on the decision. I had previously purchased JVC FX3X earbuds in April, which I noticed had a surprisingly better sound than my Bose headphones, & so upon researching JVC's product-line further, I came to the conclusion that the JVC MR77X's were made with the same features as the JVC SZ2000's with Real Sound Technology, simply differing in port & exterior housing materials, & we were not let down upon arrival of the headphones. I was so impressed that I purchased a pair for myself, & I highly recommend this product to anyone who enjoys crisp, clear music in general, with a balanced yet full-sounding spectrum, capable of anything you throw at them. I love electronic dance & trance music which tests that entire spectrum, & these never disappoint. I find myself smiling often while wearing them. There have been reviews charging these with recessed mids & highs, but after proper burn-in time of at least an hour, these simply get better with time. It surprises me that these aren't more popular, but I think people believe that price equals quality, & most times these are the same people let down by their purchase when they finally hear something like these after spending literally hundreds more on a lesser product. Don't take my word for it, as I had to take a leap of faith on both these & my earbuds, but I couldn't be happier. They don't distort at any volume, the frequency response is highly misleading as the lows/mids/highs sound incredible even at highest volume, & my ears never hurt after extended periods of intense listening. I've never seen my father jam out to music before in my life, but as we both listened to our respective headphones tonight while watching a college baseball game, I felt so happy that he is happy & excited about something, like a kid at Christmas. I don't mean to disparage Bose as they have been my favorite sound for years on every type of system they make, but JVC has won at least 2 customers for life with these headphones. My father went to our local Best Buy store this afternoon to listen to the Bose display models to reaffirm his decision, & he came out with a smile on his face. I enjoy his excitement for music again, which really makes me happy. Thank you Best Buy for an outstanding product, and super-fast shipping! A+++ Service on a 5 Star Product!
