This is a fairly competent set of true wireless earbuds. It has a good seal that leads to pretty decent passive noise cancellation. The automated voice is not too annoying. The only real downsize is how comically large the case is.

Im usually skeptical about buying speaker products that arent Bose or a well known brand but this one surprised me for sure! Excellent sound quality great product!

I have two earbuds and I have not use the other one yet. I’m still hoping because I’m using my first earbud the gummy one and I’m loving it every day. I had to say thanks to Best Buy the team their staff it’s amazing they have an amazing store. I’m just Leavin. I hope they retrieve it into my doorstep. So thank you thank you thank you.

JVC HAA11T Marshmallow True Wireless JVC has updated their Wireless Earbuds with this new HAA11T model, the Marshmallow. You’ll understand the name when you place these into your ear canals. I’d mostly given up on this true-wireless design, although I’m drawn to them by the potential convenience. Nothing beats removing those wires or neck collars which inevitably get caught on something. Of course, True Wireless has its own risks, with sometimes flaky connections or weak sound or having them fall out in the wrong place. But at this price, it was worth the experiment. And, these JVC Marshmallows do NOT disappoint! I’m shocked at how good they sound. I couldn’t imagine anything near this price sounding this good or feeling this comfortable in my ears. Details follow. FEATURES and OPERATION: JVC claims these automatically power on and connect to your device when you remove the earbuds from the charging case. In fact, the initial connection to Bluetooth was immediate. Subsequent connections were also immediate. Problem free in every way. Battery Life: Total 28-hour (Earphone:8h/single charge; another 20h by recharging in the carry case, 2.5 times) - 10-minutes charging for 1-hour playback. I got lengthy listening sessions but I wasn’t patient enough to out-wait these earbuds. They go on and on. Controls: Hands-free mic; remote (via Bluetooth), volume +/-, power controls are distributed to one or the other earbud and the controls are very easy to learn and use. This is as nice a setup as I have used, 5 different earpiece pairs are provided to ensure a good fit (2 pair are memory foam; 3 silicone). I simply started and stayed with the pre-installed foam earbuds which were the absolute most comfortable I’ve yet used. In fact, I’ve given up on too many of this type of earbuds to count. These JVCs are a revelation in comparison. Seriously. Waterproof (IPX5) Charging cable (Micro USB) Bluetooth 5.1 Codec SBC, aptX An earbud can be used individually according to JVC. I didn’t test this. PERFORMANCE: Phone calls were received with a push of a button and I thought the voices sounded perfect at my end. My wife, at the distant end thought I sounded clear, loud enough but maybe a bit like I was in a hall. But, clear. I just selected a favored playlist and started taking notes. Billie Eilish & Khalid (Lovely), followed by the Lov’n Spoonful (Groovin), New Order (Run), Nelly Furtado (Well, Well), Tom Odell (Another Love), Paramore (Misery Business Live), Chris Stapleton (Parachute) and ending with Charlie Puth (Dangerously). When there was deep bass it was well represented and quite satisfying. It sounded real. Well recorded music has deep bass in every music style. The details came through like far more expensive earbuds and male and female voices were especially natural. Electric and acoustic guitars and electric or acoustic piano all sounded fantastic, and full range. Even better, I could listen for an hour or more with no discomfort, There are very light earbuds which are easy to set and forget. The convenient and uncomplicated controls are useful. SUMMARY: These are the most comfortable earbuds of this type I’ve ever used. The combination of earbud softness, modest size of the ear insertion element and the rounded, small contours of the outer ear mechanism all contributed to the perfect experience for me, I’m very impressed. And, most importantly is the musical output from these earbuds. These are a great option for the person who wants to save money but not make any sacrifice in enjoyment. JVC’s HAA11T Marshmallow True Wireless earbuds are the best kind of marshmallows you can put in your ear.

On first impressions, the matte black case is a bit on the boxy side and has a nice shape, but I am afraid that it is a bit bulky if you like to carry them in your pockets (especially tight jeans). It is made of plastic, is very light, and has a subtle JVC logo, which is a plus. The battery/charging LED lights in the front are nice and bright. There is a micro-USB port in the back but in 2021 this should have been USB-C in my opinion. Considering that these are budget buds, I am willing to accept that. The lid closes magnetically, and the buds fit nicely inside, but I found that if the case is dropped or shaken moderately the buds will pop out. Included you will find the usual different size tips, a micro-USB cable, and documents. The buds seem of decent quality and have the usual oval-shaped type and made of plastic. The top features a control button and a status LED and is lighter than the rest of the casing. They are quite light and are comfortable. I am impressed that JVC included foam tips, which are usually reserved for higher-tier models. I personally like gel tips because I don’t like the foam feel, but that’s subjective. I am glad that most functions can be activated through the button controls. Having said this, my main complaint, and I believe may be a huge one for some, is that the control buttons are stiff and require some force to press and this jams the buds deeper into the ear canal making them uncomfortable at times. I ended resorting to using my phone most of the time, as activating voice assistance brings the same issue. This is a big inconvenience when trying to do anything while running. By the way, these are rated IPX5 water-resistant, which is great for outdoor use or sweaty workouts. Battery life is not too shabby with 8 hours of playback and 20 more with the case. It’s also cool that they feature quick charge, where 10 minutes in the case adds 1 hour of playback. Besides not being USB-C, these are not wireless charger compatible, but again, these are budget buds. Pairing is simple and with Bluetooth 5.1, I did not experience any disconnects –even when walking around my medium-size apartment. Taking them out of the case automatically connects them to the last device. It’s also worth mentioning that the buds can be used independently, for those who like to do so (works great for battery life extension). Call quality is decent and stable. While not the best, people were able to hear me clearly, although they did pick up wind noise. While these buds do not feature Active Noise Cancellation, if the right tips are used, the passive noise reduction should be enough to block noise. Because of this, I am glad JVC added ambient noise mode which is activated by the bud’s controls. For me, the most important factor is sound quality. In this department, I am quite pleased with the HA-A11T. Once I found the best tips, I enjoyed almost every genre I threw at them. While the bass is certainly the focus, I found it to be impactful and well defined. I did notice a bit of distortion at higher volume, but since I usually never go past 60%, this was a non-issue. The midrange is a bit recessed but still noticeable. I did have to pay closer attention to vocals and rhythm instruments. The highs were clear and were not harsh at all. Channel separation was OK, and soundstage is less than what I am used to but still noticeable. Having SBC and aptX, I never noticed any lag when playing videos or games. Basically, the sound was dynamic and satisfying -especially for pop, dance, pop-rock, and movies. In the end, I think the JVC HA-A11T buds bring a lot of value to the table. The features and benefits do outpace the inconveniences. At the very least, they’re great as a starter set or second pair.

With so many budget friendly wireless headphones with sub-par sound out there in the wild, it is hard to find decent ones. When looking for truly wireless headphones, I am considering listening to music while commuting so sound has to be decent, device stays in my ears, Bluetooth stays connected and good battery life. Folks looking in this category usually want suitable sound quality but not willing to pay the premium of higher end air buds. JVC HAA11T Marshmallow True Wireless buds are a small simple design that are light weight, with 5 different sized memory foam earpieces to fit various sizes of ear canals. The earpieces seem to be comfortable during long sessions and most importantly stays in your ears. The device is also water resistant, so getting caught in the rain or sweating during workouts is not an issue. Connecting to Bluetooth is seamless, just hold down the little button until the white light starts blinking and connect with your phone. Connection was quick and painless; another good feature is Auto Connect that automatically reconnects your headphones once you take them out of the case. (headphones shut off once you placed them inside of case) The device uses Bluetooth 5.1 and has good distance range, I would leave my phone in the living room and go to my bedroom with no connection interruptions. Some of my other wireless headphones would lose the connections when I went to the bedroom. I Did not experience any dropped connections no matter what I was actively doing. Sound quality is surprising, good (I was not expecting much at this price point) I mean you are not getting high-fidelity audiophile sound, but you are getting crisp and clear sound with some low-end bass (not deep tremendous bass) which I consider decent for most users and the volume can get very loud. The headphones earpiece forms a tight seal in your ear, so you will not hear any outside noise especially on higher volumes, this may be an issue for bike riders who benefit from hearing outside noises around them. A nice feature that lowers the sound by taping the button so you can hear the outside is Touch & Talk, you simply tap the button again to continue enjoying your music after talking with someone. You can also listen with one headset only ether left or right. Audio is good in phone calls on both sides. Battery life is outstanding with 8 hours on the headphones and additional 20 hours with the case that is small enough to easily fit your pocket. The battery case offers quick charging as well, just a 10 minute will give you an hour worth. The only gripes I have is the tiny button can be hard to press at times and USB cord for case is too short.

These JVC headphones pack a punch with the little price tag. The sound quality is about as great and maybe even greater than what you would expect. The memory foam tips fit great and feel very comfortable, I will say it feels much better than my other $299 earbuds and they don't have memory foam. The water resistance is great too, when it comes to working out, sweating or if you get stuck in the rain. I was surprised at how well the microphones work and focus on your voice and not the exterior sounds. Battery life is about 8hrs according to the manufacturer and the carrying case has an additional 20 hours for a total of 28hrs battery life which is great. Setting them up was relatively easy. They also work individually meaning you don't have to use both at the same time. I used them like that a lot in the house. Overall these earbuds for the price tag, features and sound it is a great deal and it does a lot better than some of its competitors in this price range. In the box you get the pair of earbuds, charging case, charging cable, 3 silicone ear pieces and 2 memory foams.

OK, I am not going to lie... I love these headphones. I have had the opportunity to use and review multiple headphones over the years that range from the basic entry level clear up to the high-end audiophile grade headphones. These hold their own even against most competition. First, the pairing was simple (as should be expected in 2021) and I had them up and running in seconds. The on-board controls are OK at best, average at worst. Where the "Seriously?!?!" comes into play in my review is due to the controls. Not the controls themselves, but the included documentation is some where between a sad joke and utterly useless. I had to get the useful information from the Internet. Is that a deal breaker? Well no, but you would think a legacy audio company like JVC would/could have done much better. As for sound, these are very good. Not the best I have ever tested, but for the price-point, these are almost impossible to beat. To test the sound, I used a rather eclectic collection of songs: 1) Billy Strings playing a 1935 Martin D-18. Pure music. No complicated production or clever hiding of mistakes, no delay, no chorus, no compression etcetera. The sound was excellent. 2) Topher-The Patriot. I am not a huge fan of most popular rap "music" as I find the overall message to be somewhere between disgusting and shameful. That said, Topher delivers a very positive message with clean production, classic driving bass and meaningful lyrics. Again, the sound was on these wireless headphones was excellent. 3) 5 Finger Death Punch-Seasons Change. Another highly produced but unique sound from 5FDP. As always, the guitar tone is rich and deep, the vocals are powerful and emotion-filled. Another great delivery from these headsets. 4) Tom Macdonald-Snowflakes. Another example of nicely produced but relatively simple musical drive with thought provoking lyrics. Not at all disappointed in the JVC's. The list goes on to include The Dead South, George Jones, In Flames, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, A7X, Queensryche and on and on and on... Regardless of genre, these were a great platform for delivery. End of the day, I give these a 5 star in spite of the very poor instructions. I would whole-heartedly recommend to a friend especially for the budget price-point. **PLEASE NOTE** These were provided to me at reduced or no cost in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. The JVC Marshmallow True Wireless earbuds come in very simple packaging. It includes the case, the earbuds (packed inside the case), the charging cable, and extra ear tips. The ones pre-installed on the unit were comfortable enough for me, but there’s a variety of tips to choose from to get a custom fit. [Side note – the earbuds install upside down. At least, in my opinion they are upside down. I’m used to earbuds that stick down, not up.] First thing I did, of course, was to fully charge the earbuds to get ready for use. After charging, I took the earbuds out of the case and – surprise! – there were tiny pieces of paper blocking the charge prongs from touching the earbuds. So, I charged the case but not the earbuds. Fortunately, the earbuds had a charge so that I could commence with the testing. It was easy to pair to my computer. I went into the audio settings, went to “add a Bluetooth device”, and removed the earbuds from the case. The earbuds automatically went into pairing mode, the computer found their signal, and I connected them. It’s a good thing that this is a simple device because the instructions are ridiculous. I don’t know why they formatted them the way they did. You don’t have to use a special app, which in a way is a good thing, but I wish I could use the functionality via phone. It’s unusual for me to have to hunt for the English language version of the instructions. I’m used to all the languages being in separate sections, laid out in a clear way. The layout blends all the languages together and the diagram is cluttered because of all the extra words. I’ve owned JVC products before, and this is the worst layout I’ve ever seen for their instructions. Standard sound is good. They sound very good for this price point. If you are looking for audio controls to customize sound, these aren’t the earbuds for you. The modes are ambient noise and not ambient noise. I pressed the button on the right earbud once to change modes. You will hear the white noise increase inside the headphones when you change modes (I had no sound playing from the computer at the time). The volume drops significantly when you change to ambient mode. I don’t recommend it – the video I was watching dropped in volume so much that it was distracting. Because of the drop, I’m not sure where you would use this. My environment was relatively quiet, and I still struggled, even with the computer volume and the video volume both turned all the way up. Maybe a bit of a nitpick, but…why can’t we have good design to go with affordability? I’m not talking fancy or feature packed – just something more attractive. These are just plain black earbuds. Nothing that exciting to look at. It would be nice to have some sleekness to these earbuds, a pop of color. These units are quite noticeable in the ear – would it hurt to make them nicer to look upon? I wanted to try these with my phone as well but couldn’t figure out how to put it into pairing mode again. When it’s out of the case for the very first time, it is automatically in pairing mode. I tried the different buttons on the unit as well as putting the buds back in their case and taking them out again, but nothing worked. All in all, the JVC Marshmallow earbuds are OK for someone who wants to hook up to one device and doesn’t need much functionality. These are basic wireless earbuds. For another $20-$30 more, you’d get something with better features and not-so-confusing instructions.

These have good sound and easy to Pair with the phone. 2 different types of ear tips the standard rubber ones and then some foam ones too. both are good but the foam ones give a better fit. These do not feel heavy in my ears and I like the soundas well

Right off the bat the memory foam tips are comfortable and offer a better seal around the ear canal than standard earbud tips. Very helpful in squeezing that small bit of extra sound quality that comes with a good seal. They feel secure enough that I don't have to worry about them becoming dislodged with moderate activity yet not too tight where I feel aches after prolonged use. I actually like that there is no swipe functionality. A physical button means no accidental activating functionalities you didn't mean to turn on or turn off. The buttons on either bud feel responsive and not squishy. Battery life is around the 5 hours claimed and they are pretty quick to charge as well. I had no problem getting through several long listening sessions throughout the day with a fully charged case. I do wish there was an mobile app if only to adjust EQ settings for fine tuning and saving of sound profiles. Luckily out of the box sound is very balanced and pairs well with every genre I've tried out. I had to knock a star off because I ran into a slight audio issue during paring. For about 10 seconds or so after pairing or repairing the buds, I hear what sounds like pops and scratches similar to playing dirty vinyl records. The issue doesn't happen every time and never is more than around 10 seconds but does seem to be an issue with the two devices I tested them on (Pixel 4a phone and a Chromebook). But that small issue aside, these are a pretty good sounding buds that are extremely comfortable.

I have always loved JVC ever since the 80s and got excited when I saw they made some wireless earbuds. Unfortunately they fall short in a few areas but do come through in others. The good: They have a nice housing that is magnetic so the ear buds do not fall out. Plus its quick charging, rests easy and small to make traveling with it with ease. The Bad: the earbuds themselves do not have a wide range of sound. Its mid range, no base or treble so don't expect great sounds when playing music through them. Also the mic picks up a small amount of surrounding noise when speaking. So in noisy areas the person on the other line may have trouble hearing. Overall its at a great price range ($50 bucks) however feel they cut out the important things and put care in the unimportant. Its a mixed feel to recommend this honestly so left it at 4 stars.

I am extremely disappointed with the JVC Marshmallows. Perhaps the biggest letdown is that (while they put pictures of actual marshmallows on the box) they missed the opportunity to call the black version “Burnt Marshmallows”. Such a clever name might have even redeemed their shortcomings. Within seconds, I found myself actually hating the memory foam “Marshmallow” tips which I assume inspired the product name. They are stiff, they don’t mold nearly as well as expected, and they have a glossy/slick outside - leading to a poor fit. The marshmallow tips only come in two sizes with a difference so minute it is hard to tell them apart. Luckily, JVC has included the standard (Small, Medium, Large) silicon tips that not only fit well, but nicely isolate the audio. JVC appears to have done very little design work as both the case and the earbuds are generic, uninspired, and quite bulky. The case is nearly 3 times larger than Airpods and charges via outdated Micro-USB cables. The earbuds themselves look like dollar store hearing aids (and their “trendy color variations” actually include Band-Aid Khaki...to complete the hearing aid aesthetic). The sound quality is actually quite pleasing and the best feature is the audio passthrough - which uses microphones to enhance outside audio (when placed in “Touch & Talk” mode). But, the controls (other than Play/Pause) are not intuitive and the buttons have so much resistance that the force required is downright uncomfortable. Sadly, I find no reason to recommend these JVC Marshmallows over the many other affordable Bluetooth earbuds available. PROS: + Good battery life + Good wireless range + Appropriate sound quality for the size + Water resistant + Earbuds can be used independently + Good passive noise isolation + Convenient audio passthrough (when “Touch & Talk” feature is activated) CONS: - Bulky earbuds which are not contoured to fit the ear - Charging Case is large and does not fit well in a pocket - Charges via outdated Micro-USB connector - “Marshmallow” Memory Foam Tips are too rigid and too slippery to fit well - No touch controls - Controls are not intuitive - Buttons must be pressed with uncomfortable force to be responsive - No active noise cancellation

I love these that are easy to use and sound really good for the price. The were easy to pair with my phone and I use them when driving to answer the phone during calls. I would have like to have an app tp use too but it is not a deal breaker. i like the foam ear tips too because I get a better seal for better hearing

For the money, these were fine ear buds. Had some initial issues with pairing and then with one side much lower then the other. These things have worked themselves out. On the plus side, the sound is was fantastic. Overall, I would recommend.

Very good noise canceling head phones. They have different sized ear placements for your ears. They have a long battery life. I can go without charging them for almost a week if not more.

This is a good earbud set as it sounds great, connects easily and is very comfortable. The price was good as I found this during a sale @ BB. No regrets here.

I have historically really liked JVC I have grown up using them all my life. I have had home stereos and car stereos in my younger years. I still own a set of 5.1 speakers and still use them in my other room in my house. Setup was easy.. Pairing with bluetooth was a cinch. No program was needed to pair. Voice and bass are half decent. Phone calls, assistant use, etc are all good. Battery life is good. I am on day 3 on 20+ hours and it is holding its use. Case holds charge as well. Fit was really good, it sealed ambient noise out. The Marshmallow felt really nice. Felt like ear plugs and fit really well. It did not fall out when I was working around the house climbing up and down ladders and painting etc. Pass through ambient noise feature is ok. If you active it, it dramatically reduces your earbud volume. I personally didn't really like that. Also wind noise was amplified with pass through feature. But it worked. So here is the not so good part of my review. The buttons on the side of the ear buds are a bit hard to activate. This means you have to push a little hard to activate them. So since your ear is fully plugged and sealed by the marshmallow and button clicks it kind of amplifies the click into your ear drum. Also since you are pushing the button a bit hard you end up shoving the ear bud deeper into your ear which makes it a bit uncomfortable after multiple pushes or long pushes. You get the point. If it wasn't for that issue I would have given this item a higher rating but because of the discomfort during operation, I cannot recommend this product. Sorry JVC. I have been a long time fan, but I think maybe if you used a non physical button and made it a touch sensitivity button it would have been a better design.

These are ok bluetooth earbuds. I felt like after last year's version, these would at least get with the times and finally get in to wireless charging or at the very least, USB-C charging. But to no avale, JVC has decided to stick with mediocre. I get it. For $50. USD, you don't want to go all out, but the problem is, there are so many other brands doing it so much better and at a cheaper rate , in most cases. Ok, the water resistance is good, but others are also doing this, The battery life is decent, but you know what I'm going to say, don't you. 2 extra sets of ear gummies and a 4 inch charging cable is all you're getting for half a bill. The sound quality is acceptable, but not JVC standards. Touch to talk isn't even worth bragging about. The only plus is the abillty to use one earbud at a time. And yes, other brands are doing this for much less. I acn't recommend these at this price. Maybe half off, but that's stretching it. I'm dissapointed.
