This projector has an excellent picture and 4k capability. It is a little slow picking up change in resolution and will go blank momentarily. You also need to watch out for 4K handshake issues with long HDMI runs (mine is 12 meters). Using a balun over Cat6 didn't work for me, but it might for you. I solved my handshake issue with the Key Digital HDFIX-22 (with EDID set to 4Kx2K HD audio)

Seriously, right out of the box this projector give you a great picture. My screen is a SI Series 7 92in Black Diamond and in a room with all of the lights on creates vivid colors, deep blacks, and great motion scenes. The 4K picture will have you glued to the seat of your theater room!

I would highly recommend this projector. I'm using it on a 115" CinemaScope screen and the blacks are deep and rich and the sharpness is amazing. The projector is also very quiet at its movie setting and doesn't kick off as much heat as my old Sony.

I have yet to tap into all the potential of this projector but great overall. This projector have a wide lens, so make sure you have a minimum of throw distance of 16ft.

Beats the Sony VPL-HW65ES

I was very close to purchasing the Sony 65 when it was recommended that I take a look at this JVC X550(otherwise known as the RS400 only difference is the color of the zoom ring). Wow this projector is absolutely awesome. I thought the Sony 65ES had great black and color, but the JVC blows it away and it also has the HDCP/HDMI is 2.2 so more future proof and has HDR (essentially it makes the image more detailed and better color shades). Sony has neither. Now Sony has the edge when it comes to gaming as it has around 21ms lag compared to JVC's 100 ms with projector features turned off to achieve the 100 ms.
Plus if you shop around you can save a few hundred dollars on the JVC.
If gaming or at least online FPS aren't important to you definitely consider this. JVC won this year.

Had the design center build me a theater system. They helped me pick this projector and the rest of the equipment I needed. Couldn't be happier!! :)
