These grinders run on four triple A batteries. You just turn them upside down and they automatically grind salt pepper or other seasonings. Can use rechargeable batteries and save a few dollars. Nothing like the flavor of freshly ground spice.

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately I was unable to enjoy because one of them was not working but from what I experienced the one that was working the salt came out a little to fast but you can always through time get used to it ah adjust it.
