  • Nice Alternative for HDMI to VGA adapter

    I often use an Apple TV and my HDMI equipped laptop to connect to an older DLP Projector that only has VGA (and lower) connectivity. This box has a nice short length of cable to it so you can separate the 2 devices, yet not enough to get in the way. It includes audio passthrough via the 3.5mm headphone jack, and this works ok. The price is VERY competitive compared to other HDMI to VGA adapters that all required another set of cables AND external power. My only complaint with this device is that it sometimes tints the display purple at higher resolutions (1080p) and no amount of adjusting/separating/checking proximity of power sources would clean the picture up; only reducing the resolution to 720p would correct the issue.

    Seems to have been a loose connection when connecting the VGA cable. Returned to the store for full credit.
