Cameras are easy to install and use. Definitely worth paying for cloud storage. The picture is high quality and clear. You can turn off the light on the camera in the kangaroo app.

I got a set of four cameras. I am not a technology savvy person but it was easy to set up. I took camera out the box downloaded the kangaroo app. I paired the camera with the barcode on my phone and with internet. I had two weeks free voice and 90 day view. After a fee for each camera. If you don’t want voice and 90 day view back you can cancel before two weeks and have 24 hr view back without voice but it still has the police siren alarm. If you have voice you can talk to someone like ring doorbell. I have one camera at front entry window which I kept subscription which alerts me when a person comes up and let me talk even though camera is in window. If you put camera on high sensitivity it will alert you with motion of every car passing by. The camera is in color but you can change to black and white. I think I got a great buy for the money. I just wanted to give a long detail to let everyone know what they will be buying. Kangaroo customer support can be reached on your camera app on phone or a 1-800 if they don’t answer leave your information they will call back that day. I called to ask about subscription and about camera that wasn’t picking up and representative helped me with both. I only had to change a setting on camera which was easy. Below is a night view from camera in a window.

One of the Best Low-Cost Wireless Security Systems

We have been using Kangaroo Security since 2020. We love that it is app based instead of hub based. We Bought the 4 pack of weatherproof cameras for $130 +tax. Subscriptions are annual only (no monthly subscriptions) or you do not have to have any subscriptions, and just use the devices as is. That’s the flexible power of Kangaroo Security. MicroSD card support really helps for offline recordings & slow Wi-Fi connection recordings. They work best connected to a Wi-Fi Mesh system. The included power cables are 6.5’ (feet) long to reach most outlets. Night Vision truly works and shows bright as day on the app, but it’s not full color Night Vision like it says on the box. It’s more like limited color Night Vision as in my testing in different dark locations. I really don’t care because it’s literal true Night Vision packed into a little camera. You literally can’t find anything better than this.

Not bad overall for 1080p cameras, but they really take a while to swap between cameras in the app vs other apps and cameras I’ve used before. Have to pay for further features, but this package deal gives you 1 year for 1 camera, so it’s pretty decent. We only needed cameras in 2 areas, but we got 4 with this clearance price instead of 2, that would have still cost more, and they do their job. They do not come with SD Cards, so must purchase them separate. Just the delay for the camera loading on the phone app, but it is instant and they do work fairly well.

Love these cameras! The quality is better than any of the cheaper ones I have bought before and it has night vision mode and detects sounds nearby that are off camera. I would definitely recommend people buy these. Also super easy to install everything you need is in the box.

Good product. I purchased two cameras. They both work well. I love the night vision. The motion sensor seems very sensitive and adds constant alerts. The set up was fairly easy and I love they they are magnetic. It is sometimes hard to understand when using the talking feature. I am satisfied with my purchase and would get more.

recently had the unfortunate opportunity to test and evaluate an indoor camera that left me unimpressed with its performance and frustrated by its flaws. The camera, marketed as an indoor surveillance solution, fell short of expectations due to its subpar picture quality and glitchy behavior. Here is my brief review: Right from the start, the camera's lackluster picture quality was evident. Despite its advertised high-definition capabilities, the footage it captured was disappointing. The images appeared blurry and pixelated, making it difficult to discern details and compromising its effectiveness as a surveillance tool. It was a constant struggle to make out objects or faces clearly, defeating the purpose of having an indoor camera in the first place. To make matters worse, the camera exhibited frequent glitches and interruptions during my testing. The video feed would freeze, lag, or abruptly cut out altogether, leaving me unable to monitor my space reliably. These disruptions occurred randomly and unpredictably, making it impossible to trust the camera's functionality when it mattered most. It was incredibly frustrating and undermined any sense of security or peace of mind. The camera's supposed wide viewing angle failed to live up to expectations as well. Despite its claims of comprehensive coverage, it left noticeable blind spots within the room. It struggled to capture a full picture, leaving crucial areas outside its field of view. This limited perspective made the camera's surveillance capabilities unreliable and rendered it ineffective for monitoring larger spaces. In terms of motion detection, the camera proved to be unreliable and inconsistent. It often failed to detect even significant movements within its range, resulting in missed notifications and delayed alerts. Adjusting the sensitivity settings didn't seem to make much difference, as the camera frequently disregarded movement or triggered false alarms for no apparent reason. This unreliability made it difficult to trust the camera's ability to effectively monitor and alert me to potential threats. Furthermore, the camera's integration with smartphones or tablets was far from seamless. The accompanying mobile app was clunky and unintuitive, making it a challenge to navigate and access essential features. Connecting to the camera remotely was a hit-or-miss experience, with frequent connectivity issues and delays. This lack of convenience and ease of use further compounded the frustrations associated with this indoor camera. In terms of build quality, the camera felt flimsy and lacked durability. It seemed prone to technical issues, and the overall construction did not inspire confidence in its longevity. The camera's unreliability and subpar performance left me skeptical about its ability to withstand extended use and deliver consistent surveillance over time. In conclusion, this indoor camera was a disappointment, failing to deliver on its promises of reliable surveillance and peace of mind. With its subpar picture quality, glitchy behavior, limited viewing angle, unreliable motion detection, and frustrating mobile app, it fell short in every aspect. If you're considering purchasing an indoor camera, I would strongly advise exploring alternative options that prioritize picture quality, reliability, and seamless functionality. Please note that specific camera models and experiences may vary. It's crucial to thoroughly research and read user reviews before making a purchase to ensure you choose a camera that meets your expectations and requirements.

Very good camera for the price. My only issue is that the wire connection is a bit tricky and seems to want to unplug. The picture is very good. One other negative is that the orientation is only one way so if you mount it from an upper surface the images are upside down. Should be able to invert the image or flip the camera itself.

Scam subscription (DO NOT buy it)

The main reason I bought a total of 6 of this cameras is the built-in local storage (micro SD card) so I am not forced to pay for could storage or any subscription. I installed couple cameras and was trying to configure it in the Kangaroo app to record locally but I could not find any options about local storage (SD card). I called support and the answer was (oh our developers are working to make it work but we do not have timeline of when to be available??? Basically, Kangaroo disabled the local storage option even that it’s build in wiring the camera hardware so they can force the consumer to buy and subscribe for could storage ($90 a year for three cameras or $24 a year per each camera) Good cameras but bad way to scam and force people to pay for a service that already provided in the hardware.
