The speakers came with a 3.5 cable jack to hook up directly into a laptop/pc. Has a USB connection as well but not sure if the sound would be better through it or not. If not, I will stick with the 3.5 as it has a smaller footprint overall. Very happy with this purchase. Won't find a better set of 2.0 desktop speakers at this price.

Very sound quality. Though, I will want to buy the separate woofer when I can afford it. Missing lower mids and bass. Very clean uppers and mids! Been into playing and recording music for two decades and these are pro level.

I purchased the matte black pair and they look terrific. I use the USB connection to my laptop and have them on my desk at home. The sound is wonderful. It is clear with no vibration and they fit perfectly on the desk. Did not like they came with cords that are bright white. The cords look goofy connected to black speakers but everything is shows great quality.

I needed speakers for my desktop that had both 3.5mm and usb inputs. These speakers fit the bill and some. The speakers are versatile and can be used for many applications. For example laptop or even tv. The speakers were not available in my Best Buy store but that was no problem as the sales associate and I just ordered them on the good old web. They cost a little bit you get what you pay for. As a side note when ordered they said it would take 10 days for shipping. Two days later they were on my doorstep. Excellent! Only wish my computer was more powerful to truly test them. The sound is that good.

I bought these to replace a 2.1 Altec Lansing speaker system. These are in a totally different league. The bass while not chest pounding is quite satisfying especially considering the size of the speakers. All in all, a great buy

I am using these speakers for my turntable. They are good little speakers with decent fidelity and clarity.

I would say for the money these speakers are alright. The sound is fine, but for music a higher quality would be recommended. They are fine for voice and videos.

These speakers were a lot smaller then I imagined, but that isn't a bad thing. They have great sound and surprisingly good bass.

I use at work at low volumes (usually). The found is full and rich even at low volumes. The imaging is beautiful. A subwoofer would turn this into a great multimedia speaker system where you can enjoy it at louder volumes. Well worth the money I paid. I price matched it down to $159 and used a $35 reward certificate. It would be a decent value even at the $179 price it was selling for at the time.

The best set of computer speakers I have ever owned. Worth all the money.

these little guys functioned and sounded great but just were not quite loud enough for bedroom speakers on my vizio tv

These speakers look beautiful, appear to be very high quality, and very well made. You will be very impressed by their appearance, the packaging was even impressive. When was the last time anyone mentioned the packaging of a product? It is definitely a high quality speaker and I wanted to love them, but if you are currently using good sub and sat system you will not be able to enjoy these speakers on their own without a subwoofer. I know that a 2.0 system will have a hard time matching a 2.1 system but since my current 2.1 computer speaker system is 17yo and is 20w for the sub and 6w each sat, I thought that this $200 original price system with 25w each speaker would come a lot closer and look amazing on my computer desk with a piano black finish. I was wrong. I got this on sale for $150 with tax so why would I invest more to buy a sub, when I can just return them and buy the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 system for $150 before tax. I gave these speakers 2 stars on how beautiful they are and and the way they look on the desk and they would honestly be good satellite speakers. if you are not currently using sub and sat system wherever you would be using these speakers, and you mostly listen to music/watch movies on your headphones and not an actual home theater system then you will love these speakers. You will not know that the low to mid-low bass is missing. But if you really want get enjoyment from your music and movies get a sub to go with these or get a different system.

These speakers are real bASS kickers. Solid construction, heavy and the sound is awesome. I plugged these into my Bose Wave Radio through the earphone jack. They sound better that the Bose speakers.

These small speakers sound fantastic. With the built in DAC, AUX inupt, and sub out, you can really put together a nice little system. Minus one star because the lows simply arent there - highly suggest pairing these with a sub if you'd like your audio to have a more full sound.

I have never bought speakers without actually hearing them first. Research can only take you so far when there are so many brands that are not represented at major retailers. I had been looking at the Kanto speakers along with several other brands in my search for new computer speakers. I listen to the majority of my music through my computer these days. Mostly streaming and hi res through an Audioquest Dragonfly (I recommend one of those to anyone who loves digital music). I finally took the plunge with the Kanto YU2 when I had a nice reward certificate come my way! The YU2's fit my desk nicely which was why I picked them instead of one of the larger versions. I am extremely pleased with the sound of these little speakers. The mids and highs are lively and striking, especially vocals. The bass is strong and balanced with the smooth midrange and extends much further than I was expecting. That being said, I will definitely be getting a matching Kanto sub soon as I like more bass than these put out. I tried some Coldplay and the bass sounded a bit weak with the track Magic, which has a low bass guitar intro and pounding bass drum. I then switched to Motograter and their track Down and the bass coming out sounded much deeper and resonant. Another track, Wallace, from the Blade Runner 2049 soundtrack produced amazing results. The separation and extension from high to low was exquisite and alive! It just proves that recordings differ greatly as well as our expectations. I had some old Altec Lansing speakers with a sub before these and the Kanto's produce similar results with no sub. If you're a huge bass head you will be disappointed with these speakers by themselves and will need the sub. If you want smaller speakers at a great price that are tuneful and well balanced, these Kanto YU2's are a surefire success. I will update after I get the Sub 6 to note the difference.

blown away by the audio quality of these speakers. set up was simple, up and running in minutes. my flac music files sound more clear than ever! would definitely recommend these speakers.

Anyone who put a good review for this product has no idea what a good quality speaker sounds like. Don't waste your money on this item. Upgrade and pay the extra 200 and get the Bose speakers.
