    As my new Mac began having more and more problems, I called the Apple folks who determined that the problem was the Kaspersky anti-virus software. Since removing the Kaspersky, my Mac has been great.

    The computer itself is OK. My experience with computers goes back to before the PC. When the PC came out, DOS was the operating system. As an Engineer I have used a variety of systems.I have done machine language programming, Assembly language programming, as well as the higher language programming. It is my opinion that Windows 8 is the worst operating system I've seen.

    I installed this free 1 year antivirus protection on my new Lenovo ideapad 400 touchpad purchased at Best Buy. Immediately, Kaspersky made numerous changes to my software environment and rendered many applications that came with the computer useless. It also tried to sell me the software and said that the trial version was only good for a month. This happened with each login and slowed my work flow. I was unable to review web pages that previously worked. I was unable to use remote desktop to my work computer. Attempting to uninstall failed so I had to go to the System restore function and go back to an eariler restore point. The computer was so new, there was litte I had done to it in terms of customization so I am surprised that Best Buy did not know about the problems with Kaspersky software.
