cute little game, surprisingly good music, colorful art style and innovative, engaging gameplay

classic katamari. did not know thios was like a playstation franchise or like IP/...... now on switch. must have just for collection. gameplay is what you expect from katamari!

Fun game. Graphics aren't great and the controls are a little hard to get used to, but once you get the hang of it you'll find yourself having a hard time putting it down.

This is a remaster of the original Katamari Damacy that released on the Playstation 2 in 2004. It's hard to rate a remaster. Do you simply just keep the same rating you would've given the original release? Or do you become more critical when viewing the product? Even with that in mind it would be a sin to rate this title lower than four out of five. Reroll only host some minor changes. One of the audio tracks is different from the original North American release, the aspect ratio is in line with more modern standards and some of the character modules have been given rounded features to appear more like the concept art. The biggest change, which I think is unfortunate, is the difficulty. A few stages have increased the time limits making them a bit easier for players. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it-- I personally prefer the challenge. Since I'm specifically looking at the Switch title I'll mention sometimes the joycons feel a little "fragile" for how one typically plays Katamari-- especially with the quick roll move. When stationary a pro controller is more ideal and just feels more stable though the "on-the-go" aspect fit Katamari's gameplay quite well. Again, this is essentially just the original with minor changes and while I respect the choice to keep it as close to the original release as possible parts of me think having an extra stage or even something cosmetic like a costume would've been nice. Katamari Damacy is a classic and accessible to various types of gamers. Katamari Damacy might even be a five star game but Reroll doesn't offer enough changes or extra to justify a perfect score. I still recommend the title though, especially since it's usually around twenty dollars.

A wonderful addition to the series and I'm super excited it is on the Switch! Classic Katamari feel with some learning curve to the controls. I do prefer to play this on the TV with my switch docked. Highly Recommend if you are a lover of the series and if you have never played give it a go! Roll Roll Roll!

I had always wanted to play this series. After almost 20 years, I finally did with the remaster of Damacy. I had to fight the controls constantly, and that is usually a death sentence, but the core loop of the game is so fun that I was mostly willing to overlook its control issues.

Just like the original, I love this game. It's not for everyone but I can't say enough about it. Just give it a try and see how addicting it is. I love the music and style. I love Katamari.

The game feels fun and wacky. I tried to play the demo version but it felt short and I saw the game on sale. So I bought it! The mechanics take a little to get used to. Not bad at all. Pretty fun!

These games are a joy to play. Oozing with personality and unique gameplay. It is a series you should not miss and this is a solid entry.

Great music and nice gameplay. I will admit the controls seem a little hard to get used to at first but after you find your rhythm, the port is very enjoyable. Would recommend.

I loved all the katamari damacy games in the past and this one is no different im so happy that they came out with a new revamped version of the old classics

I packed away my PS3, So happy they brought this game out on a present day platform. Now I can enjoy this classic on a modern day system. A must play!!!
