It seems that speaker stands are either worthless particleboard crap or eye wateringly expensive bits of metal tube. I bought these to go with a new set of KEF speakers figuring I’d splurge and keep it all in the family. At their heart, they’re some metal tube with plates welded to the ends. But everything about them is executed beautifully. Starting with the packaging which feels like there should be a fine watch inside. All the metal edges are softened. The threads are tight and precisely cut. Some thoughtful little details added. I’ve got them on hardwood floor and once I leveled them, there is no rattle or buzz. The only thing I don’t understand is why there is not some way of mechanically connecting the speaker to the top plate. My KEF fit on perfectly and the rubber feet on the speakers Keep everything in place but there is zero margin for error. One good bump and your $2000 speaker goes crashing to the floor. Beware if you have a large dog! I don’t even know if you can use these stands with a different brand of speaker without adding rubber feet or perhaps Velcro to the bottom of the speaker. Overall, beautiful workmanship and they perform and look good. I think I’m going to start a business designing and selling quality speaker stands for under $200......

High quality stands. Fit and finish was perfect and provides a very stable platform for your speakers.

These stands are way overpriced. They do not screw into the speakers. They don't really even match well with the LS50. I actually feel that the B&W 700 series stands look better with the LS50 and feel more solid. For the money they charge for these stands they should be of higher quality.
