Ken Burns does awesome work but he went above & beyond to tell the story of country music from the beginning roots to where it is come through the years. Great footage & classic photos, stories & songs along the way. A real treasure in my opinion after doing 30 years in country radio I've played a lot of the music through the years & met a lot of the legendary artist along the way. It's worth owning 4 sure.

Anybody that likes or loves country Music, this is for you. This tells the founding and the blending of the many different types of Country Music.I learned so much from this film and you will to, you won’t be disappointed.

I love what Ken Burns does with a subject he takes on. I have learned a lot more about country music and the artist's that were in the very beginning than I thought I knew. A great series to watch.

We learned so much about country music and were so entertained in addition. This documentary speeds by. The reacquaintance with music from the past is like coming home.

Great archival footage, interesting facts. Ken Burns has once again done an excellent job just as he had in his other film The Vietnam War.

Their was a lot of info i did not know, great show or series, enjoyed it a lot,i am a big fan of the old country,grew up with it.

It reminded of several things that I had forgotten from the past. I also learned some things that I had no idea about.

I thoroughly enjoyed the history and the collection of forgotten contributors who created this great genre of music.

I always enjoy Ken Burns work, this no exception. Worth seeing.

This is a different format than some other Ken Burns documentaries but it is still very effective. I'm not sure if Peter Coyote was the best choice for narrator though. While his voice was perfect for The Vietnam War it can be a little jarring for this subject matter.

Once you start watching the documentary, it is hard to stop watching it, as it covers so many years and artists, going from the origins of country music through the changes in the sixties, seventies and the present time, effortlessly and thoroughly.
