If you thought this was like Kengo on PS2...

...You are sure to be disappointed. The game follows the path of 9 samurai but their paths involve mindless fighting many times for no good reason. The cutscenes are bland when they could be extremely dramatic. The sound can be downright painful at times but the music is quite nice. The action in the game is not free flowing but you have cool environment executions which are fun to explore. The fighting styles and control are interesting and somewhat addictive at times but the inability to heal during enemy onslaughts makes portions very frustrating. You cannot accumulate points for buying moves from battle to battle as well. So even if you beat a level, if you didn't fight well, your character stays a weakling. For $20 it's a cheap thrill and a few more achievement points but also an exercise in patience.

The graphics are descent but the gameplay is a bit lacking. The controls are hard to get use to. I'd reccomend that you rent this game only.
