I purchased this K525 unit because it was on sale the day I needed it. It turned out to be a good choice. All the 500 series are about the same except this K525 does NOT come with sample packs or the Starter Carafe. This turned out to be a blessing. The models that come with the carafe, come with a non insulated black plastic carafe. I was able to save money on the K525 and purchase the insulated Stainless Carafe. Win Win for me. I did not need sample coffee as I already know what I like. There are a lot of nice features on the 500 series making it a nice unit. We Love it over our older Keurig unit.

I brought this to upgrade from the original first edition Keurig. I love the upgrade: the touch screen, option for strong coffee, option for hot cocoa or other. Very simple to use!

My soon to be wife and I do like our coffee! What's nice about this unit is that you can make a Carafe, or various sizes cup of coffee (8oz, 10oz, 16oz, and 20oz). The device has a tall distance between the bottom and the top of the cup, which makes for easy brewing of tall cups. Also, the bottom slides out for extra tall thermos type cups or the Keurig Carafe. It has a feature for just hot water, and does good with teas, water, and coffee too. The water container is large enough that we can make about 5 cups, or 1 carafe before having to refill. The only reason this got 4 stars, is that these sneaky folks from Keurig added a sensor in this machine so that if I use an off brand K-Cup, it won't brew. So my lifehack, is take a knife and cut the top off an "official" K-Cup, and place that on top of your knock off K-Cup and it brews just fine. That feature just seems a bit excessive.

This is my first Keurig coffee maker and I must say I’m in love. I love the fact that there’s a hot water on demand button and you can select different options for cup size.

I was skeptical at first about the 2.0 system because I've read a bunch of reviews that say that 2.0 won't work with other brands. Also, the Oops Screen was always showing up and ruining people's experience. I can tell you after owning this for about a month I LOVE this product! I can set my timer and put in a carafe with the carafe size brewing cup and I can several cups of coffee in the morning when I wake up. It is perfect for lazy Saturday mornings. I love the size selection for brewing the cups as big as 12oz down to little 4oz cups. The huge reservoir is great as well. I don't fill it as often as I did my old Keurig. One last note, I love the way you can select the perfect brew for your cup based on stronger or not. I like my coffee a little stronger while my wife is a little weaker. You can make those selections too. If you are thinking about buying this unit I can HIGHLY recommend getting it today.

This coffeemaker was included in a purchase of washer/dryer package. I have 2 Keurig's, the first in 2009 and the 2nd in 2012. The first machine was replaced twice by Keurig with no hassles. The 2nd replacement is still going strong. The 2nd Keurig was purchased 3 years ago for our winter place and is still going strong as well. This new Keurig has replaced the 2nd one. Overall my experience with Keurig as a company and their customer service has been positive. The Keurig coffeemakers work as advertised and provide a quick cup of coffee/tea/hot chocolate or hot water with the K525 offering more programming options. My only negative comment would be that the K525 is noisier than the others.

We got this Keurig free with our appliance purchase. I figured I'd just sell it, but instead we decided to try it and see if we'd use it. It's been 6 months and we still use it every day. We love it!! I created a coffee bar in my house with this at the center. It's nice to be able to offer guests whatever they'd like to drink. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, chai?

Great versatility. iPhone-easy user interface. Fast brewing. Great machine for an office setting. Auto on/off make it even better. Water is hot and ready to brew when I get to the office, and I never have to worry about turning it off. Coffee is always fresh and hot, although admittedly much more expensive to purchase and to operate than traditionally brewed coffee systems. I have not purchased the Carafe, so have not tried that function of this machine yet, but probably will before too long. I'll update the review at that time if the system allows edits. Only complaints with the design are comparatively minor. 1) The drip catcher base really should attach more positively to the unit. As it is, it just slides into place, so it gets scooted around if it is bumped. 2) And this is more significant, The design of the water holding tank makes it quite difficult to fill without spillage. The entire top of the tank can be removed allowing a better pouring vantage, but then the lid has to be laid somewhere and the condensation on the inside of the lid drips onto whatever surface it is placed on. This might not be an issue in a kitchen, but in an office it is. Those are the only marks on an otherwise stellar machine.

I bought this to replace my Mr. Coffee maker because I hate to make a large pot of coffee. It is a great coffee maker and I can make different types of coffee and it takes less time to make.

It sure beats cooking over the stove / microwave. It’s easy, also if you have any issues Keurig is always there for assistance. So many great flavors!

Purchased this as a replacement for older Keurig, and simply love it. Ability to select cup size and brew strength has made this hallmark of kitchen.

I am not a fan of the touch screen but I love the fact that the water chamber is much larger. It tends to spoil everyone however so that when you have to travel away from home everyone misses "their" coffee. When we moved Mother Tomlin (Age 96) from OH to VA she wanted the Keurig. She let us know she hadn't had "decent" coffee since she'd left.

I like the versatility of this model, unfortunately the first two units had to return due to malfunctions (see attached photo) within a two week period, not much fun cleaning up. The present unit has been functioning well for a couple of weeks now, so time will tell. I like the extra options for being able to select a setting up to 12 oz vs 8 oz as previous models. I don't like the fact there are no samples included like previous models. This model also doesn't come with a,filter housing/holder or a carafe like previous 2.0 models. These are now items that have to be purchased separately.

I have had several Keurig units over the years. This one is by far the best. I love the large LCD screen. Lots of programming options too if you like to customize sizes. In the picture you will see the Black accent on the top I added from Keurig's website.

I love that I can get a great cup of coffee or hot water for tea, cocoa or even soup. Easy to use just fill the large reservoir every once in a while. it tells you when too. I sit it in my dining room for guests to induldge in, somtimes including some biscotti.

I really love this coffee maker it’s truly amazing! However, it adds a weird plastic taste to hot cocoa or any light tasting coffee. I don’t know if it’s just an issue with the machine or they all add this flavor.

REASON: I purchased the 'Keurig - Keurig K525 Single-Serve K-Cup Coffee Maker, Platinum - Platinum' for my girlfriends birthday. We both enjoy a good cup of coffee in the morning but are always in a rush to get out the door for work or school. SETUP/USE: Setup was quick and easy. I do recommend reading the manual if you want to know everything this machine can do. My girlfriend and I worked together clicking on different functions learning what the Keurig was capable of but the manually clearly details everything. Once you make your first cup of coffee it becomes second nature. FUNCTIONS: The number one function we use is setting a time to brew. We can set the time for 6 AM in the morning and wake up to a fresh cup of coffee. The water heats up in about 20-30 seconds and begins dispensing immediately. We really enjoy the touch-screen on the machine and navigation is simple. You can choose the cup size accordingly and it makes dispensing easy. Water is held in a clear container on the side and needs to be refilled every few days depending on how much coffee you drink or what size you are dispensing but it's simple to remove, refill and install. You have some simple customizing you can do like changing the screen color or even the color of the light that shines in the water container. ACCESSORIES/CUPS: You can use the K-cups (single serve - 6, 8 or 10 ounce cup), K-mugs (travel sized mug 12, 14, or 16 ounces at full strength). and K-carafes (30 ounces of coffee) in this machine. If you choose to brew a K carafes then I recommend purchasing the 'Keurig - 2.0 Coffee Carafe' as it holds the right amount and fits perfectly under the dispenser. We also own a 'My K-Cup Reusable Coffee Pod', which allows us to use coffee grounds. There are a wide variety of flavors available and if you wait for BestBuy's Deal of the Day or have a BestBuy rewards account, you can get some nice discounts on the cups. I always want coffee, but hate the hassle of having to brew it - especially when I need to leave quick for my classes. I do have a Nespresso machine as well, but prefer to use that on Lattes or Iced drinks, but was always missing just a simple brew. This solves it. One thing that was important to me was that I could use my own coffee in the re-usable pods - and the one that they sell in store worked! So not only can I brew quick kups, I can make my own kup when I'm not in a rush. I love the option of brewing 4 cups with one capsule for the carafes - which is useful when I have guests or need it to study and not need to keep brewing each one. The light and resevoir is great, and don't feel the hassle of getting water all the time. My only main concern is that these brew with plastic kups, and I'm not exactly sure what type of plastic they use - hopefully, safer ones. I'm use to my nespresso's metallic capsules. Other than that, I love this brewer machine, and its interface. What I do is that I leave my nespresso at my kitchen, but have this brewer ontop of my mini fridge in my room - so its the ultimate convenience as the milk and creamer is right under. I would recommend this brewer.

I've been a Keurig fan ever since they first came out. It's a company that takes care of their customers. This Keurig is my favorite one. I also bought the my kcup for this model and the stainless carafe and the Keurig coffee drawer. All of them are great products. The reservoir is the largest yet. It's very easy to set up. There are many cup sizes for the cup, mug and carafe. I like the fact that you can set it on STRONG and it really makes a difference in the strength of the coffee! The light in the reservoir can be made red, blue, green or white,at the same time the night light can be colored differently and the night light is on a timer you set yourself. But another great thing is the my kcup. You use the same one for cup and carafe. All you have to do is pull a little "trigger", for lack of a better word, down and drop the my kcup in and it's ready to go. When you take it out the "trigger" snaps back in place.It comes with two filters the handle and a needle cleaner too. Already had the carousel coffee holder. It's nice too.
