Worth every penny, great investment for someone who wants good sound in the car but not a ridiculously loud bass subwoofer.

I purchased this item for my 16 Honda Accord. Fits perfectly under the passenger seat. Great bass sound added to the stock radio. It also has a bass level adjustment, which I love because I'm not really into the hard bass sound. Great purchase, I strongly recommend it. I did have to purchase some additional kit for $15 or so, had the geek squad install it, sounds awesome!

I wanted upgrade my factory sound system and add more clarity and depth. I replaced all the door speakers with the Kicker 6.5 inch two way speakers and used this subwoofer to round out the low end. I didn't want to cut into interior body panels or give up space in the back or my suv because I haul things regularly. This subwoofer was the perfect fit for my needs. It tucked nicely under the seat, you can send line level or speaker level signal to it making the installation easier because you don't have to take out the whole stereo. There's no need to find more space for an amplifier because it is built in and the adjustable level and frequency controls let me dial it in to suit my listening taste. The adjustable level control that is included is very handy for dialing up the bass when I am listening to music and turning it down when listening to talk radio stations. I am thoroughly satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking to satisfy a similar criteria.

    Kicker powered subwoofer performs!

I love this thing. We have a semi-cheap pop-up 5 x 7 screen multimedia deck in our motorhome and rather than replace it with a $700 Sony I got this little powered subwoofer. Our motorhome is a small B-class which is essentially an enlarged van so space is at a premium. No room for a traditional subwoofer. I installed this thing under the dinette table, screwing it to the wall with its provided mount feet so it captured a little space that was completely un-used and is not in the way of anything. The fact that it has several input options was cool. I chose to piggyback it onto the right and left front speakers wires which pairs it to the media deck allowing it to switch on and off as a single unit. Also it has a little auxiliary gain control knob (subwoofer level) that I mounted conveniently near my knee at the drivers station. Now I can quickly adjust the subwoofer level to the different recordings of all the music we listen to. I was surprised at how well this Kicker powered subwoofer performes. It's so compact and small (I think the driver is only 8") I really wasn't expecting much out of it. To my happy surprise it quite perfectly gives us the bottom end of music allowing me to hear that bass guitar and kick drum perfectly over top of the road noise as we're driving. Our front speakers and tweeters are of average quality but they really produce the mids and highs so this Kicker is absolutely perfect. In conclusion, I highly recommend this Kicker powered subwoofer to anybody who has limited space and wants to kick up the quality of an average stereo/media system. It really allows you to keep your existing system and transform it into a real deep punchy listening experience without having to replace the whole thing. I'm quite certain the Kicker would perform on par with any high-end equipment it was paired with. Sincerely, Jonhartline

I installed this unit under the bench seat on a 2009 regular cab Tacoma. You have to remove the seat bolts to lift the seat to slide the unit in . Used Velcro under the unit to keep it in place. When I hooked it up for a test before install I saw an electric arc on the hot side. To avoid a parasitic drain I installed a relay off the accessory circuit and ran the signal wire through a rocker switch so when camping I can use the radio without the added load of the subwoofer. I used screw on t-taps to hook up to the high level speaker leads. Unit sounds good with factory head unit and aftermarket component door speakers. Have sound deadening in doors. Added enough bass to round out the system. Also used Velcro to mount the remote on the side of the console and bought a 3 foot cable for the remote. The included cable is 20 feet long. Just need to see how long it lasts.

About a year ago I upgraded the factory radio in my car to a modern Android head-unit. A month or two after that I upgraded the speakers. I knew that I would eventually add a subwoofer to the setup, but couldn't decide if I wanted to go with a separate amp and sub or an integrated box. With trunk space being an issue, I started looking at "hideaway" subwoofers that wouldn't take up as much room as a full-sized enclosure. I wasn't looking for anything over-the-top. I really just wanted something to add some additional bottom to the overall sound. I figured a smaller 8" sub should meet my needs since I just want to be able to feel it, but not necessarily announce my presence to the entire neighborhood as I drive by. I found a great "like new" open box deal through Best Buy on the Kicker 11HS8 and ordered it. It was delivered the next day and I was able to schedule the installation through Best Buy for a day or two after I received it. For its size, this sub sounds great and I don't think it can be beat, especially not at the price I was able to get it at.

My 2016 Dodge Ram Crew Cab SLT is a bare bones model compared to the more expensive Laramie which comes with a factory subwoofer. So I purchased this compact unit that comes with everything included (amp, speaker, box). So small that you can place it just about anywhere within your cab and will not get in the way. I placed mine under the rear seat in back, on the floor, about two inches away from the back wall. I am 60 years old but still listen to Megadeth, Metalica, Bob Marley, Kiss, Johnny Cash and I am happy with the subwoofer. I set it on 4.5 out of 10 and get a tight thump without the rattling vibration you get set between 5 - 10. Paid $220 for the speaker package and paid $100 for install.

When I went to BB to purchase this the on-site installation person recommended against buying this stating my exhaust note would drown out the bass. (12 WRX) I had read enough reviews to know this couldn't be true. I suspect he didn't know how to install this sub due to the flawed instructions provided by kicker. Do not install to both rear speakers as the bass will not hit correctly. Install to the right rear speaker only and this bad boy thumps. I love it. It added just enough bass without rattling the neighborhood. It fits perfectly under my seat with no foot interference. I used the rough side of Velcro to mount the sub. I highly recommend this for someone looking for a discrete setup with kicker level sound!

Im super happy with this all in one package I had it installed at Best Buy the install was clean.I had it installed in my 2020 Honda civic under the front passenger seat It fits under there nice and its hidden from public view witch is what I wanted. It sounds clean with the perfect amount of added bass to my factory system I extra bass knob was also a plus as I tend to play Rock,Metal and Rap as my main styles of music I think having it in the cab of the car is best and didn't wan to put in in the trunk because it wouldn't fit under the seat if this was the case I would of switched it to a 10" I'm super happy with the sound and didn't feel the need to swap out the factory head unit its clean sound and powerful bass is a perfect blend of sound as I don't want it rattling the car parts and annoying the wife The tech that installed it took the time to give me want I wanted out of the sub props to him he adjusted it perfect and took the time to allow me to play a couple of songs to see it I likes the adjustments Over all I've had it of a couple of months and am super happy with the unit and install

I bought this for my 2021 Accord Sport. The stock system was decent but was severely lacking on the low end. I didn’t think this sub would be loud enough for me but I was completely wrong. The bass sounds and feels great without being loud and obnoxious outside of the car. It fits well under my front seat and the bass knob that it comes with is convenient and fits anywhere. I had Best Buy install it for me and the installers did a great job. They took the time to make the installation look as OEM as possible and made sure I was completely satisfied before I paid for the install.

Overall experience has been great. It's a little pricey at full retail price but if you're looking for some bass that's a lot more than what your factory speakers put out then this is a great product. For me personally, I just wanted a little more; I didn't care about if people outside my car could hear it. Another reason to consider this product is the size. Being a powered amp, it doesn't require any additional products to hook up. I have a small hatchback and space was a huge consideration. It has a remote bass control so if you're not in the mood for the bass you can just turn it down without having to go through your radio settings.

I got this for a Mazda 3 and added it to the Bose package. I also substituted Kickers in the doors. Sub was installed in the trunk and it was great to save the space. It added some depth to the system but I ended up leaving the split seat down to get a more noticeable depth to the system. I then moved it onto the back seat right, where it made a real difference before trading in the vehicle a month or so after the original install. So now I have the 2013 Accord with Kickers added in the doors. I unplugged the sub from the Mazda, took out the screws holding the straps in place and left the wiring harness behind. Kicker shipped me a new harness for $35 and I had the hideaway installed under the passenger seat. Now it gives more than enough clear precise base and is totally out of the way and easy to adjust with the remote gain dial. Very happy with the versitility/mobility and would recommend finding a place for it in the passenger commpartment.
