Im super happy with this all in one package I had it installed at Best Buy the install was clean.I had it installed in my 2020 Honda civic under the front passenger seat It fits under there nice and its hidden from public view witch is what I wanted. It sounds clean with the perfect amount of added bass to my factory system I extra bass knob was also a plus as I tend to play Rock,Metal and Rap as my main styles of music I think having it in the cab of the car is best and didn't wan to put in in the trunk because it wouldn't fit under the seat if this was the case I would of switched it to a 10" I'm super happy with the sound and didn't feel the need to swap out the factory head unit its clean sound and powerful bass is a perfect blend of sound as I don't want it rattling the car parts and annoying the wife The tech that installed it took the time to give me want I wanted out of the sub props to him he adjusted it perfect and took the time to allow me to play a couple of songs to see it I likes the adjustments Over all I've had it of a couple of months and am super happy with the unit and install

Great sound in small package!! The Kicker hideaway brings the rich, full bass that most factory setups may lack.

The Kicker is great. Gave me just the punch I was looking for. It will fill your small cabin with more than enough bass to feel it in your chest and all around without annoying the cars around you.
Would have given 5 stars but the rep that helped me did not know anything and should not have been working in electronics. even dropped an F bomb. Sold me installation which when I showed for my appointment was told by the tech they could not do at this store. had it installed elsewhere and now it makes me happy.

This "little" baby packs a good punch...inside the car it's like having your own personal concert, sound is crisp, great vibrations from the bass. It's not the bass you'll hear 3 blocks away, but maybe half a block away, which is nice because people aren't freaking out about the boom, boom, boom they're feeling. I love hip hop and alternative rock, and the bass you'll hear from this compliments both genres of music perfect. Saves space in the car because you get all of your trunk space, and the AWESOME BEST BUY tech, at Willowbrook got this unit snug under the front passenger side seat, so I didn't lose any space in my car. COLBY at Best Buy Willowbrook is the BOMB!!!

About a year ago I upgraded the factory radio in my car to a modern Android head-unit. A month or two after that I upgraded the speakers. I knew that I would eventually add a subwoofer to the setup, but couldn't decide if I wanted to go with a separate amp and sub or an integrated box.
With trunk space being an issue, I started looking at "hideaway" subwoofers that wouldn't take up as much room as a full-sized enclosure. I wasn't looking for anything over-the-top. I really just wanted something to add some additional bottom to the overall sound.
I figured a smaller 8" sub should meet my needs since I just want to be able to feel it, but not necessarily announce my presence to the entire neighborhood as I drive by.
I found a great "like new" open box deal through Best Buy on the Kicker 11HS8 and ordered it. It was delivered the next day and I was able to schedule the installation through Best Buy for a day or two after I received it.
For its size, this sub sounds great and I don't think it can be beat, especially not at the price I was able to get it at.

I was pretty skeptical of an "all in one" unit, but with the Kicker name on it, I figured it had to be okay. Fits under the back seat of my Nissan Frontier perfectly. Now, you cannot be expecting ground shaking bass. However, I was looking for solid low-end to fill out what was missing in my truck. I like the remote level control, so you can tune it on the fly without adjusting the controls on the unit itself. Complements my other Kicker CS speakers nicely. Needs to be tuned correctly, but sounds great. Also like that you do not have to run a dedicated amp power supply to this. Keeps the install simple and inexpensive.

This subwoofer is great in my Chevy cobalt, but it wasn't at first. When I first installed it, I put it in the trunk as it wouldn't fit under my seat in the passenger section of the car. In the trunk the base was underwhelming. So much so that I moved it to under the passenger seat, where it would fit with minor modifications to the seat. When it's with the people this subwoofer is amazing. It's great in that it can be powerful enough to shake your mirrors(if that's what you want) as well as subtle enough to create a full range of audio. Wiring was a breeze. I would recommend this as long as you don't put it in your trunk, then you need something more powerful.

This subwoofer is used for a few of my van rentals, it’s easy to install and I’m able to remove it to clean the area. Sounds great and that’s why I continue to buy them.

Perfect for my 03' Miata

Just got this unit installed and it works great. Good clear punchy sound. I have a cheap Sony aftermarket head unit (does have pre amp and I'm using it, no bass knob) and Kenwood 6x8's, probably just a decent upgrade over stock, that all came with the car. I listen to a mix of everything and it can handle the low low bass on Kevin Gates "John Gotti" without a hint of distortion but will also kick you pretty good on AC/DC "You Shook Me All Night Long". It's installed in a perfect little spot behind the passenger seat so it's hidden and everything looks stock. Only sacrifice is one click of backwards movement on the seat bottom which I'm more than happy to give up versus losing foot room on other Miata sub installs I've seen.
That is all based on having the top down. Now with it up, dare I say it......it flat out bumps. Troll away on that statement if you want but a roadster is the perfect scenario for this powered sub. It would not "bump" in anything larger and would just give you the bass of a higher end stock stereo.
In conclusion if you have a small car it's well worth the money and is likely to impress you. If you're just rounding out some low end on a sedan with a stock system it's still worth it. If you have something larger or you're expectations are to wake up the neighbors and set off car alarms then you need a big boy system with big subs and big power.

I have a 2025 Subaru WRX and had the head unit changed a year ago along with all speakers. The sound was good although always felt like it music sounded a little flat regardless of playing with the equalizer settings. Decided to get the Kicker sub which fit perfectly under the seat and WOW... what a difference! It really helps differentiate the highs, mids and lows. Incredibly powerful bass for my car. Super happy with purchase! FYI, there was some rattle because of the base so added a small piece of sound reading mat on the edges of the box that was in contact with the seat adjusting rail and it solved the trick!

Upgraded sound system I’m my 2022 Subaru Outback wilderness. What a difference! Fit perfectly under passenger side seat. I like that I can simply turn a small dial to enhance the subwoofer punch. No major interface issues with stock radio. My co worker has a 2023 Outback wilderness and bought same box. Thrilled with sound. I had it professionally installed. No clue on how hard it was to install.

Great 8” subwoofer

Before I go on, I want to say that I have 4 Kicker CS speakers and a pair of Kicker tweeters powered by a kicker key amp and a factory head unit as the rest of my setup. I cannot speak to how well this works when all other components are stock.
Considering the above, this sub complements the rest of my setup really well. It is an 8” sub, so it does not pick up the really low bass tones as well as a 10” or 12” sub, which I did expect going in. It does, however, outperform any factory sub I have ever heard in a vehicle with factory upgraded audio (Bose, JBL, etc.). It also allows you to control the bass level remotely with the included dial. Overall I think it is the perfect way to get solid bass that you can feel without going in to more involved setups. Like in the movie Step Brothers, it is like Jesus wearing a faux suit t-shirt. Refined, yet capable of partying, but not fully committed to either extreme.
A few suggestions for installation:
1. Run the remote wire for remote turn on. The manual tells you that it is not necessary, but you should definitely run the remote wire while doing the rest of the wiring. Better to run it the first time than to discover that you need to do so afterwards and risk having to take everything back apart after you’ve finished. I have heard of others having trouble with the turn on not working correctly using the suggested method in the manual and then having to run the remote wire after the fact.
2. The included speaker wiring is likely not long enough to reach behind the head unit. If you plan to wire it to a place behind the head unit, you will likely need to connect additional speaker wires to to the included wiring to make it reach, so have some of the same gauge on hand. The power and remote wires should be long enough.
3. Do not use the included brackets to mount it unless it has a lot of room to move around. Under the seat with heavy duty Velcro is plenty stable, so I would not screw it in to any metal on your vehicle unless completely necessary.
4. Hide the bass knob and use double sided tape to mount it. No need to hide the sub and advertise it with the bass control knob. It is not necessary to have access to it to constantly tune it. Put it out of sight and adjust it when you need to before or after you get done driving.

Installed in a 2004 F150 ext.cab. Installed under back seat. Ran power from battery to the unit using power cable in the kit, connected to existing rear speakers cabling. REM wire (the blue wire) from unit was a little short so had to add a splice to get to the head unit. Install took about an hour. Sounds great. I would recommend it. Install was pretty straight foreword, love the the all in one unit. Sounded great so I bought a second to mount on opposite side of rear seat. One would work fine but the balance of two took it to a new level.

Works well for extra bass to 6x9 in a truck or suv. Small and easily can be hidden. Not going to rattle the car or hit like a 12 inch system. Good for rock, country music to give solid depth and bass.

A great speaker from Kicker as always. It does not take up much room and is easily installed. It is a great filler for your mid-range sound. If your looking for earth moving bass, this isn't your pick. If you need a great sounding sub to add that little bit extra to what you currently have this is the one.

I took the plunge on upgrading my audio in my vehicle and haven’t been disappointed. I found the unit for a good price at Bestbuy and had it professionally installed. The added depth to your music is immediate, while maintaining crisp mid tones and hard hitting deep bass. Very stylish and compact design that’s full of quality tech.

I installed this subwoofer by myself after research. It’s fairly easy install. First time doing it. For my 2020 VW Atlas I don’t have to use the blue remote wire. The amp can detect the power thru the speaker signal. The sound quality is great! It’s not going to shatter your car or glass. It’s a decent bass. It’s a big difference how my Non- Fender sound system. I like how compact the size without sacrificing the cargo space! I tuck it under the spare tire.
