Adds punch and equalization to the Ford B&O system

Added to an existing B&O 10 speaker system in my 2022 F350. At minimum gain (Gain turned completely counterclockwise) of the Key 200.4 in, it will crank out 50 watts with the B&O turned up 3/4 range. The big reason to do this is to adjust the built in 40 channel equalizer to balance all speakers. Replacing speakers in the Ford is highly recommended. If you use this in conjunction with the Key 500.1, disable the 500.1 before you run the automatic adjustment routine of the 200.4. Then run the automatic routine for the 500.1. Also, disconnect the center channel of the vehicle if so equipped while running the 200.4 routine. All other speakers (pillar) can be left intact. This amp in conjunction with the 500.1 gives a lot of extra punch with minimum distortion if you run at the minimum gain. The input sensitivity of the Kicker 200.4 high input level at minimum gain is 10V for 50W. (Output will be 14.14 Volts calculated into 4 Ohms or 3dB of gain.) The max output of the B&O 10 speaker system is 25W into 4 ohms., or 10V when calculated. Requires adapter Pac APH-FD02 Speaker Connection Harness. (Available on Amazon)

Pros: Small. More powerful than you expect. Auto-EQ and DSP are impressive if you are integrating with factory radio. Cons: Auto-EQ is finicky to setup. Installation instructions are not very informative. Limited to 4-Ohm per channel. I installed this with my factory radio using high level input and set it up in Bi-Amp mode with a set of Kicker KSS269 components. The pairing was perfect, like they're made for each other. Install manual is not clear, I had to get info online from other users and the Kicker youtube channel. Once I got the thing to auto-eq, it sounds much better than I expected. I am very happy.

So far so good! The DSP sounds great and seems to have plenty of power. It was easy to set up and auto tune. I didn’t really like the small gauge twin power and ground but see no real issue with it. I paired this with the matching Key 500.1 My only negative is not even related to the amp but I purchased it open box “excellent” condition. Everything seemed to be as it should but there was some noticeable scratches on it. I probably would have still purchased I I known about them just to save a few$.

    Unbelievably Good

Checking this amp our for the first time, I was skeptical. It’s so light. It’s class D. It doesn’t require you to run 0 gauge welding cables from your battery. Frankly, it looked like something I would get from K-Mart. How wrong I was. This thing is musical. It’s powerful. It blows the doors off my truck while staying cool as a cucumber. Granted, you MUST run the DSP setup. Without it, it’s a nice amp. After running the DSP, which is trivial, this little gem will make you swoon. Buy it. Now.

This amp is AMAZING! I originally upgraded my 2016 Tahoe factory speakers with JL Audio C1's and was happy with how it sounded but knew I still had the ability to improve if I added an amp. I searched for weeks and decided to buy this one because of the built-in DSP. The set up is very easy once it's installed, and the microphone that listens to the speakers during audio setup is like magic. My music is perfectly EQ'ed and has twice the volume. The setup takes less than 7 minutes and it's all done with a click of the microphone that comes with it. I'd recommend getting the Key 500W for your sub, if you have one. It also has built in DSP and will pair with your 200W amp for concert quality sound!

Fantastic amp with more than enough power

This tiny little amp is pretty much a bargain for what you get. If you're trying to upgrade your factory system with aftermarket speakers, giving them more power than provided by the head unit makes all the difference. The 50W RMS provided by this amp is more than enough power for most component and co-axial speakers. Add in the automated DSP with one-touch setup, and the Kicker becomes a no-brainer. I used this in a 2008 MINI Cooper S, which has a very basic stock stereo. I upgraded the speakers with 6.5" JBL GTO components at the front, and 6x9 Infinity Reference in the rear (basically the same thing as GTOs, as they are made by the same company). The speakers were decent, but adding the amp made a world of difference to how they sound. The clarity is greatly improved, and it is seriously impressive the bass they can kick out now. The auto DSP is pretty simple to setup. The first try failed, but turning up the volume a bit more solved it and it completed happily on the second try. To be honest, I didn't notice a huge difference in the tone of the sound with the DSP activated, but I did notice a large difference in the front sound stage. The time delay definitely helps raise the stage up, and center it for the driver. I'm not sure there's a better or even really a comparable product at this price point. If you want a mini 4-channel amp, I'm not sure there's a good reason to pick anything other than this one.

awesome little amp. integrated easily in my pick up truck with the factory system. 50 watts is plenty for the kicker 6x9 i installed in all the doors. Amp easily hides under the dash. After setting up the DSP the system sounds great

I've never installed stereo equipment in a vehicle. This seemed to be what I needed to boost my aftermarket speakers in my 2020 Nissan Frontier. A 20-minute YouTube video and ordering the wiring harness off plugnplaykits.com and had it installed and calibrated in less than an hour. Fit right behind the stereo in the dash so you don't even see it. I thought the aftermarket speakers were nice before, but now it sounds phenomenal. I had thought about getting a sub, but this got all the bass I needed from the 6x9 and 6.5s. Highly recommend if you'd in the market.

Enhanced my sound quality in my Equinox LT and brought out the highs and smoothed out the lows. Installed and didn't have to get a controller added on because this amp works with the existing factory system and sounds great. Great buy as well. Great choice by Best Buy Tech.

I bought this amp to power the front stage in my F150. I'd previously had subwoofers + amp and the door/pillar speakers replaced. The guys at the audio shop ensured me the head unit would be fine driving the door speakers even though I had reservations from many years of car audio. The head unit did work and it sounded pretty good but the door speakers couldn't keep up with the subs so I wasn't able to use any of it to it's potential. I installed the Key in bi-amp mode powering the front door speakers and pillar tweeters. I left the rear doors powered by the head unit. Wow, what a difference! The size of the amp defies it's performance even though I'd seen videos of people measuring it at 50W a channel. It's also very clean. I can turn it all the way up and the sound is clear, non-fatiguing, and doesn't sound as loud as it is. It also solved other problems with the F150 like the head unit output turn-on. Normally Fuse 23 is tapped as remote turn on but it only works when the ignition is in the ON position. It switches the remote turn on to powered output to use as remote turn on which I did to turn on the sub amplifier.

    Smart amp?

This is one cool amp. Its a smart amp,and it does some pretty cool things. You can use it as a 4 channel amp, hook it up to 4 sppeskers. Or use it as a 2 channel amp, where you use 2 channels for your front componet speakers and the other 2,bridged,for a subwoofer. And this is where it gets smart....after you hook up your speakers to the amp,you plug in a provided microphone and play some pink noise(you can download from kicker.com) close the doors and this amp reads your speakers and dials in the best sound suited to your system. Believe me,its a night and day difference. Pretty amazing technology. Easy to set up, super small footprint so it can be mounted almost anywhere. Customer Service is outstanding, really nice people and very knowledgeable about car audio. Its worth the money

After upgrading all door speakers and tweeters. I needed some more crisp sound. Picked up some speed wire to install this. Was able to route into glove box. Installation was easy if your handy with soldering. I went with low level input using RCA from the head unit. Calibration was easy and it made a difference. Sounds are crisp and clean. Able to crank up the volume without distortion using the gains on the amp to match. Amp has limiter lights so you know where to adjust it from. Make sure you download the correct pink noise from Kicker’s website to calibrate.

Amp provides more than enough power to my 6 speaker system on my Ram 1500. Upgraded factory speakers to Infinity. No need for a dsp. Bought harness from Net Audio that plugs under the driver seat that runs speaker and high level input to the amp. Need to run power to the battery and fuse.

This Key amp has to be the best kept secret in car audio. First of all, it has solid reliable power. Want to upgrade the sound of your system? Just add one of these. Effectively doubles your constant power to the speakers. The best part is that it comes with a mic so that you can run a pink noise setup that is specific to your car. The same thing that professionals use to do audio setups in large PA systems. Really works well. If you're not into doing that, have it installed at Best Buy. You will not regret it.

This is my seconded kicker key amp. I have one in both of my vehicles and have been very impressed with it. These are small enough that I was able to hide it in the dash behind the glovebox. It is easy to hook up and if you have any trouble Kicker support has been good to work with.

Just the right amount of kick on budget. The quality of sound was good with the in-dash receiver but the amp added the improvement I needed to truly enjoy my music. Excellent low end.
