This game is the new halo except much much better. The graphics, the gameplay, the story, everything in this game is absolutely fantastic. The first one could have much better but they definately made up for that with this one. This game is worth what you paid for. Online is so awesome. Each match holds up to 32 players!! Its so cool having so many people fighting with or against you. This game was worth the wait and you should definately get this game if you want some action and suspence. This game provides some quality time with you............and trying not to scream your head off from how awesome this game can twist and turn to meet your expectations. What a great game.

This is precisely what a sequel should be: bigger and better in every way. The first Killzone came out around 2004 for the PS2, and this is a direct sequel to that game. Many gamers know of this game primarily of the E3 video that Sony claimed was all in game, and people thought it was CGI. Needless to say this is my absolute favorite FPS across all consoles and PC. I did get this game when it launched February 2009. If people want a Killzone game please buy this one instead of Killzone 3 or Killzone Shadow Fall. The reason being is that the games that followed after Killzone 2 are watered down to cater to people who prefer other shooters. The core experience and gameplay was ruined because of that.

Killzone 2 is a must have game for any ps3 owner!!!!!!!!!!! It has great graphics the lighting effects everything is great. The battles in this game are massive team mates fight along side of you and will really shoot ppl. One downside for some ppl is the fair amount of foul lang. the F Bomb is dropped alot. 1 down side is that the controls are a lil slow which makes it kinda hard to get accurate shots but playing wit the control settings will solve that. I havent got a chance to play onlline yet but from what I hear it great. Over all this is a great game 10 out of 5.

This is a great game with excellent graphics and intense firefights in the campaign. The very interesting and cool innovative technology appeals to many teens like me. The multilayer puts this game over the top though when you have bullets whizzing by your head and explosions going off left and right it makes it intense as well as fun. I would highly recommend buying this game. Its price is also very low so it only costs about 30-40 dollars.

Killzone 2 is a game u simply must buy. The graphics are the best and the enemy AI is so much more intelligent than any other FPS I have ever played. Like in any COD game the enemy could be 2 feet in front of u and not even see u. Not here. The AI is so smart that when u take cover and peek out to shoot that enemy he is no longer there, he has move to another position and is firing at u. Also the online aspect of this game is so robust i dont even want to get into it. just know that it is a very deep leveling up system. GREAT GAME!!!!!

I have to admit that I'm a little biased since I loved the first killzone. Then after seeing the three trailers released I'm definitly going to buy a PS3 for this game alone. (Not that there aren't others I'll get) I'd be a fool to pass up this game. It's going to redefine console graphics from now on, AI intelligence, and incredible detail, lighting, and gameplay realism. This is a must buy so if you don't have a PS3 you'd better go get one because this game is going to skyrocket PS3 demand.

The bottom line is that Killzone 2 is a great game. It boasts amazing graphics, and extremely fun game play but some players, cod fans like myself, may experience a learning curve because of the difficult controls. The original control lay out felt very awkward to me until i changed it to alternate 2 which is was very similar to cod. As far as the unresponsiveness goes i think it adds the feel of gravity to the game. This is a great game and one of the best fps on the platform.

This game shows off the power of the PS3 by setting the standard in console graphics, having a superb online component, and by having gameplay mechanics that separate the game from other shooters. The movement of your player in the single player mode is slower than other FPS but it's gives the player a sense of weight. You are a soldier who is carrying a lot of weight so it wouldn't make much sense to be able to move and aim as fast as other games. Of course this gameplay mechanic does not hamper the game in any way. It will feel weird at first but you will get used to it. Just don't think you can run and gun your way through the game. There is a cover button and you should use it often. The online is highly addictive with its multiple job classes and the special perks that come with those classes. You start off as a grunt but as you continue playing and gain experience points, you will unlock other job classes. Each class has a positive and a negative side so don't worry about any cheap character classes. The online mode also plays a bit faster than the single player mode. You will notice an increase in movement and aiming speed, which makes sense given the way the multiplayer modes are set up. Only issues I found with the game is the story and a lack of co-op modes and split screen play. Split screen play is essential in the FPS genre so I was surprised there wasn't any. A co-op mode would have been nice too but I suppose that will be in the next game. And as with every other FPS that has a multiplayer component, the story in this game is not great but the gameplay makes up for it.

Wow at first I just thought that Kill Zone 2 was nothing special and was just some game that wouldn't be good. I was totally wrong. This game is the PS3's Halo. In fact this game is BETTER than Halo and I no I have played it. The campaign only has 9 levels but they are all very fun and a bit long. There are tons of trophies to earn in this game and the online is simply phenomenal. 32 players in one game all fighting to win. Skirmish is the same bout as online but it is training or for people wih no online... Graphics are just awesome everything just looks so crisp and clear and I'm playing on a SD 15 inch TV so imagine what it's like to play it on a 52 inch 1080p plasma screen TV. The price is a little high for being out for a while and the ranking system online is not very good at all. You get 1 xp per kill and so u get about 30 points on average per game meaning it takes a long time to rank up. To be a general you must have 2800 xp so you see it's gonna take a while... If you are looking to buy Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare get this instead. Don't get me wrong I love CoD4 and I was addicted to the online but KZ2 is so much better and plus CoD4 is only out another 3 1/2 months before MW2 comes out and everyone switches. P.S the sixaxis is awesome! In between the games in the loading screen where you get tips you can move your controller around and make the screen move! 2 thumbs up and 5 stars. Good job!

This game is pretty fun, but has some annoying parts. Sniping is a pain, because sluggish targeting makes it near impossible to catch a moving target. The character Rico could be deleted all together. He adds nothing to the story but a potty mouth and stupid one liners. The main character is fun to play, and the villains are pretty sweet. The individual weapons aren't as dynamic as the first Killzone, but there are some cool new ones like the Arc cannon and the bolt gun. Overall, it was a fun game.

Among many of the shooter games that have come out, this one is on a top level with the best. Graphics are astounding, better than almost all games out thus far to date. While there is a story to this game, you only get bits and pieces in-between missions or sniping somebody--not a bad thing at all. This is a very difficult game, one that I have died countless times trying to beat. Yes, you might get frustrated and need to walk away for a while when you get the "what! I totall--what? Come on!" but that just adds to the fun. This is a gory game, don't doubt that for a second. The responsiveness is great, weapon systems along with game mechanics are fluid and well thought out. I really have not come across any bugs, you might get lag once in a while, but very rarely. Load screens do not last long at all. Also, if you have children, do not let them be in the room when you play this game if you wish to keep their innocence intact. Along with the pools of blood you spill and make erupt out of the bodies of enemies, your own teammates do cuss quite a bit, which, again, adds to the realism. Online game-play is great, and is the main reason why most people buy this shooter. There is DLC coming out often and it keeps things fresh and truly enjoyable. I you enjoy shooters and are looking for a challenge, I believe this is the game for you.

So I am a huge Call of Duty guy, Modern Warfare is amazing and in my opinion won't be beaten until Modern Warfare 2 in the winter. I honestly expected this game to be better than COD because of all the hype and boy did it not live up to it... Sure the graphics are amazing, more so than Modern Warfare, but at the same caliber as World at War, they needed to make the gore a little more extreme because the game was already Mature so why not go into the World at War kinda gore where you can shoot off limbs and parts of the body. Anyways, the MAJOR downfall is the levels... EVERY level was basically the same... They set this game in the future on some different planet or some bull like that and basically every new level has the same scenery and the same point... kill all the "bad guys"... the controls aren't that great, the analog is really really tricky, not as easy as COD... and R3 to zoom??? thats just crazy... o and you have to HOLD L2 to hide.. unlike COD where you can simply click to select what stance you want... This game comes no where near what hype it is given. Save your money and go buy Resident Evil 5 and have some real fun.

I have been waiting for this game for along time, since 2005 E3 expo video. I just bought the game and i was a little worried it would not live to the hype. After playing just a few hours i am SURE that this game is the best FPS (first person shooter) I HAVE EVER played. First thing you will notice is the graphics, not doubt they put alot of time into this game, the lighting effects alone should get an award. Muzzle flash creates real time shadows and lights up the rooms, particle system is top notch. character animation is very smooth. The Helgast react to bullet the way they should, no just standing there and acting like it doesnt phase em. The physics engine is also award winning, every object seems to have its own weight and reacts to bullets and explosions perfectly. All of this goes together so perfect to creat this super action packed experience that i have waited for so long. I recommend this game for anyone who is looking for palm sweating, drymouth, hyper thrill ride through battle torn warzones. No doubt this is my favorite game.-10/10

Killzone 2 is a great FPS shooter even if you cant play online because their is a new skirmish mode to play against com. in online game types. but i like this game for its online play and weapons. But i think there should be more classes and weapons online like the story mode did. But when you unlock everything online there is still stuff to do like clan battles and there is usually new dlc.

This is a very good shooter game for those who like and love them. The game has a good story line and has great graphics. It has several different difficulty settings whiich allows you to master each to improve your game while ending it each time.

I dont know why people are comparing this game to any other game, from now on games will have to be compared to Killzone 2. the graphics are fantastic on a nice hd tv, and the sound is superb so turn your home theaters up. overall im glad i bought this game, and it was well worth the wait

What's there not to like about this game!! The graphics are top notch & look ridiculous on HD 1080P!! If you like COD4,RFOM1 & 2 then this game is a must own! The A.I from the enemy is never the same & every board is interesting and diverse!!! Just phenomenal on so many level's!!

*plz don't read if you do not want me to spoil it for you*,well i first saw the E3 trailer footage and thought man that game looks crazy, well it's been 3yrs and this game has finally came out, when i popped it in i thought wow these graphics are so sick, it was fun a first but then the controlling got to me i eventually i got used to it but i still didn't like it, the story was also way too generic for me not interesting whats so ever it's basically land on the bad guys planet, kill everyone you see, protect your convoy, k now place some bombs on a few bunkers, go back to base in the air and go back down to the planet and capture the leader of the heighast game over, the multiplayer was alright but it was no call of duty, i would recommend this game to people that just wanna shoot people with no story being involved and wanna see sweet graphics, i would not recommend this for people that have been saving up for a long time and wanna get a game that will last them awhile & that's worth your money

KillZone 2 is a refreshing break from your simple "run and gun" arcade style games such as Halo or Gears of war. The game provides you with enough heath to sustain a handful of gunshots enabling the player to act as a storm trooper running down the enemy. But the maps are heavily textured with plenty of niches and multiple levels that reward strategy and encourage you to out flank your opponent. While campaign mode is a little shorter then would be hoped, the Computer AI is very advance, Enemy's will hold back when out numbered and take cover and spray blindly behind their head when pinned down, but then will wait for back up and charge when their ranks increase. Online play is fun, and with good maps and more on the way, you can play Killzone 2 for a very long time. making it well worth $59

well what can i say..we've all been waiting for killzone 2, and now it's finally here. was it worth the wait... ABSOLUTELY! this is the first game that really shows the true power of the ps3. from the moment you and your squad are dropped into the action and until the end of the game, your surrounded by and involved in intense action. the graphics are the best i've ever seen, and that is no lie. the gameplay is smooth and the action never quits. you actually feel like your controlling a movie. the only negative thing in the game that i can think of is that your teammates go down to easily. When they go down, you have to try and revive them, like you have to do in gears of war. bottom line....... dont rent this game, BUY THIS GAME!
