Great follow up to the series. Story is a bit weird at times, but there's so much to look at it really doesn't matter. A lot goes on during missions and the scale of the levels are huge. A couple of play throughs will probably yield better understanding of story.
The multi player is great and much more realistic and difficult than other FPS out there. Maps can be huge here too with very complex levels of terrain making advantages and disadvantages frequent. Fun game modes which always change and many leveling up and upgrades to keep coming back to. They also seems to add new maps and they are free!

Good continuation of the last couple KillZone games. The storyline moves fast, yet slow, enough so you don't breeze through it in one day. The multiplayer is what was to be expected from reading reviews and watching previews prior to its release.
I waited until the price dropped a bit to get it since it was not on my "top buy list," but I easily would have payed full price for it if I was not a huge Battlefield 4 fan.
Game has replay value in it, multiplayer is fun and will keep you occupied for quite some time.

This is a great launch title for the ps4. It looks beautiful, however I may be a little tainted by my time with Titanfall. I constantly wanted to be freed from the constraints of only being on the ground. The controls feel pretty good, but there is a dead zone and a hint of acceleration afterwards. I tried my best to get them as twitchy as I could without losing control of the aiming. The results were better than the default controls. I like the use of the touchpad for the alternate drone options. Overall it's a great start for this next generation. I'm sure the next one will be absolutely insane!

I don't understand the hate this game receives on the internet, because Killzone Shadow Fall is a great game! I will admit that the campaign leaves much to be desired, but that aside, the multiplayer hits on all cylinders. The challenged based progression system works well. The game play is excellent, I get lost in it for hours at a time. The lack of aim assist makes kills harder to get hence, more satisfying. The weapons are beastly. In short anyone who has a PS4 should check this game out.

This game is fun and is one of the must buys for the PS4. I very much enjoy the game and the story is engaging enough to keep you incited. The multiplayer mode is fun, more so than COD, but it does lack the depth that BF4 or halo multiplayer games bring to the table.
Now for the Nitpicking:
While I do like the game, I feel that as with most games in the new generation, KZ SF doesn't add anything really "new".
The graphics are amazing, but interaction with the environment is non-existant.
Controls are spot on, but the game doesn't make use of the six axis, voice controls, of the PS4 camera.
Even though there isn't anything new, I still would recommend this to anyone who is a KZ or a FPS fan.

I was incredibly hyped up for this game. In fact, it was the only game I pre-ordered with my PS4. When I got it, I jumped right into the single player campaign to see just how amazing it would be. Well, I have to say that for the most part, I was not disappointed. With the exception of it being a bit shorter than I anticipated (roughly 18 hours of gameplay if you are playing medium-hard mode and are really being careful). The storyline of the campaign is fairly unique for this type of genre, as both sides are good & bad in different ways and as you play your opinion of various in game characters changes. The gameplay itself is significantly higher in difficulty than what I am accustomed to in an FPS game. Unlike games like Battlefield 4 (where you can play it on the hardest setting and still pretty much walk your way through without much issue), Killzone is a challenge even on the easiest setting. Stealth is an absolute in this game, as alerting enemies to your presence causes all Hell to break loose until you're able to deactivate alarms (which are often guarded and nearly impossible to notice in the midst of combat). You are also given a companion drone that assists you in combat, revives you, provides limited transportation and can hack different objectives. On the easiest setting, I was for the most part able to win most battles on my own and tended to forget I even had the drone available - However when I played on the higher difficulty settings I found myself constantly relying on the drones shield or concussion blasts just to make it through certain rooms/hallways alive ;) The twist at the end of the game is a bit predictable, but you are rewarded nonetheless.
The problem with this game is the online multi-player. I was incredibly excited about getting online and using my sonar ping to light people up through walls so I could jump down and knife them but alas, the entire multiplayer setup is so clunky it makes the gameplay feel lame. Also, whereas with the campaign the graphics were immersive and intensely realistic, in multiplayer they look pathetic. To me it almost felt like I was playing an N64 game or something. It is obvious that the multiplayer for this game was rushed and because of that I ended up trading it in for COD only 10 days after purchase.
I rated this game a 3 because if you want to play the campaign a couple times through, I would buy it or borrow it. But if you are looking for an online multiplayer fps game, get BF4 or COD Ghosts.

This game has it all. A great storyline, a killer ending, good replayabillity, solid online multiplayer platform, memorable charicters. It is worth owning. The only setbacks for me were the frustration with the controls of the game and the storyline not being as long and deep as I would have liked to have seen from a frontrunning launch title that is supposed to showcase the PS4. The pros most undoubtedly outweighed the cons and it is a must have launch title for any PS4 library. Parents may also want to steer away from getting this one for their kiddos as well because of the mass amount of bad language used. But that is what the video game rating of mature is there for to let you know of.

As far as launch titles are concerned, Killzone: Shadow Fall is not bad. It looks fantastic and plays very well. The negative aspects of the game lie in the single player because of some odd pacing choices. Many levels go long stretches without any enemy encounters and instead have minor puzzles or easy to complete objectives. This was not an issue for me, but I could see many losing interest in the single player because of it.
Thankfully the online is very fun and well balanced. It is very easy to jump in and quickly have fun. It is also nice that the online looks just as good as the single player. The online is perhaps the best reason to try Killzone: Shadow Fall.

The single player campaign is beautifully rendered, and while most FPS stories leave something to be desired, the story is interesting and worthwhile. Multiplayer is fun for awhile, and there are a number of familiar game modes to play, including the killzone standard "warzone". The variety and level ups keep you playing, and while the gunplay is tight and controlled, after awhile, it gets somewhat stale, and higher level matches are dominated by a chaotic cluster of power ups and perks. If you like FPS (i'm not a huge fan), you will probably enjoy playing for longer, but if you just want a pretty game to play around with for 10-20 hours, KZ:SF is a good choice.

The story is great, it has a decent lengt, the graphics look great, what I don't like is that isn't a 2 player co-op game as the previous KZ this is the only reason why I gave it 4 stars.

This is a great game if you enjoy action-packed FPS, lots of that here and then some. I really liked the added abilities, they allow for you to go in guns blazing or take a more stealthy approach; which is a plus for me as stealth fits my playstyle. Even if you are not familiar with the Killzone franchise this is an easy game to jump straight into and enjoy. The one negative for me was the quality of the Multiplayer experience. Most people would probably enjoy it, but I found it boring and unimaginative; especially in comparison to how much I enjoyed Killzone 2 Multiplayer. Either way, I would still recommend this game to any FPS fans out there: 4 stars.

Killzone shadow fall is a very good choice,if you are thinking about getting a new game for the ps4. It is probably the best looking game I have played for ps4. The story mode is auctioned pact and has a pretty good story line. The multiplayer is fast pasted and features many futuristic style weapons , turrets, drones and other crazy stuff.

This is definitely a more subdued Killzone. Where as previous 'Zones were full scale war and battlefields, this one is more of a wetwork "shadow op". The Helghast are also more subdued and humanized which is cool. Makes you remember who they used to be. The story overall is weak and poorly implemented. It had potential to be great but falls flat. Gameplay is fun and intense at times but the cover system seems completely ineffective. Overall a fun if not generic shooter 8 out of 10
