This totally reminded me of my childhood watching Creature Double Feature on tv. My 10 year old son loves Godzilla and was really into the movie. We a great conversation about how movies and special effects have changed over the years. He appreciated the movie for the time it was made and didn’t judge based solely on a comparison to today’s CG dominated films.

Was not looking for CGI, was looking for a rubber suited classic to sit down and watch how cinema has changed and simply enjoy the movie. Knowing that no one would believe it was reaL, my son and I started watching these movies, and I explained the effects, action and adventure. Not a big quality move by today’s standards, but fun all the same. It’s Godzilla and King Kong!

For the price, there's little to complain about. This is likely the version you saw on Creature Double-Feature in the '70s. However, if you're a collector, there's little here; no extra features and, most damningly, only the edited version that was shortened and dubbed for the US market is included. Again, this is the version you've likely seen, but it would have been nice if the package had included the original, uncut Japanese version of the film in its entirety, complete with subtitles, which the unused space on the Blu-ray could have easily accommodated. A real missed opportunity, but a fun, inexpensive trip down Memory Lane, nonetheless.

You have to be a Godzilla/king kong fan for this. I have loved Godzilla senc the 80s and have never stopped. When i saw this on bluray it was a must have for my collection. Its the North american release, NOT the original japan TOHO release, but only a real avid fan will know the difference. Sit back and enjoy. Pass me the popcorn.

I have no idea if this movie is any good but I am giving it to my dad for Christmas which will tick off my mom since she'll get stuck watching it. Due to that, it deserves more than 5 stars. I also bought him the other Godzilla movies for the same reason.

I first saw this movie at a matinee when I was a kid at my local theater. I saw it many time on television growing up, so I had to get it. It looks so much clearer on Blu-ray. It even looks better than what I remembered when I saw it at the theater.

Once again I know this is a classic campy monster mess with two of the heavyweight monster champions battling it out... as a stated before I grew up on these films and simply love them and the cleaned up transfer is so nice you can see just how AMAZING the special effects aren't... SWEET!!

I saw this as a very young boy at the drive-in, and it loved it. One of the best Japanese Godzilla movies that I've seen. Not the same as watching it as a six-year-old, but still a lot of fun. I'd recommend watching it before the remake hits the theaters.

If you are excited about the new Godzilla vs King Kong movie coming out in a few weeks then you need to pick up this on Blu-ray and watch it before you see the new movie! Its kinda campy but worth the watch!

Great KAIJU movie for your collection. Toho was way ahead in monster flix. Funny for the whole family. Just add popcorn. Waiting for the remake. I remember watching this as a small child in our $1 movies Cinema

Great movie. Classic Godzilla movie but this movie doesn't give any indication of who the winner is. Great fight thou., also great movie to watch before watching the new Godzilla vs Kong.

This is, and always will be, my favorite original-era Godzilla film. It mocks itself, has comic characters, and allows the monsters to act silly...it's a total laugh-fest and great fun. And while there are no extras to speak of, the blu-ray transfer is good.

Everything I wanted from Godzilla Vs. King Kong: Cheesy special effects, bad dubbing, pointless white men whose only reason for being there is to make western audiences more comfortable, and of course the Godzilla and Kong suits!

This is the best of the old Monster movies. 2 great Monsters fighting each other. For that time this was as good as it gets. Don't compare it to what they are able to create today. Enjoy it for what it is. Its a classic!

Decent Godzilla movie from the Showa era. Nothing fancy with extra features or enhanced quality but blu ray is better than the prior dvd quality. Must have for any G fan.

This is a great movie. Note, this movie is the American version of the movie classic. It is a little longer than the Japanese version and also has some awkward American imposing in the movie such as extra scenes to help the American audiences.

By far the very best Godzilla just before they started making it for children so enjoy this last rendition of a more serious pro wrestling Godzilla

As a Godzilla fan, we put up with alot. Even the worst movies are fun though. Wish the end conflict was a bit bigger, but still a good movie.

Having watched King Kong earlier this year when I saw this in the Blu Ray bin I just had to have it. I recall seeing this as a kid - but in black and white! Looks great in color. This is a classic movie!
