The wait between Kingdom Heart II and III was certainly a long one. Outside of Duke Nukem I can't recall any series having such a gap between releases. Unlike Duke however Kingdom Hearts III does not disappoint or fail to live up to the hype. The smartest thing Square/Disney did was maintain what made the series memorable while being able to bring it into the new age. The introduction of the newer Disney franchises into the game play helps to bring no small amount of characters that old fans, and particularly the new ones will know and be drawn to.

Epic ending to the longest running and confusing story plot ever. What the hell happened to the Final Fantasy Characters!? Still Loved the game.

KH3 is the best rendition of the series without a doubt. It's taken every great aspect from its predecessors; polished them and redesigned them for the better. I'm referring to the Gummi Ship over world, the in game menu, in game mechanics, model design, world design and collectible side quests, with the exception of synthesis. There is hardly any grind required to synth ultima weapons this time around. Maybe that's a Pro for you. The voice over work is incredible, I cant believe they were able to acquire such expensive talents, yet again for this series. Tom Hanks does not reprise his role as Woody unfortunately. For the talent they couldn't acquire, the imitators are very close. The score or soundtrack is amazing as always. Very moving at times. This is the hallmark of the series for me. Video is solid. This isn't Final Fantasy XV quality, but that's okay, it's Disney. It's always a pleasure interacting in your favorite Disney worlds. From the cartoon like Twilight Town to the futuristic metropolis of San Fransokyo, you won't be let down visually. I would recommend a PS4 pro for this title however, there are noticeable frame drops on a standard PS4 in select areas. Gameplay is where Square-Enix missed the mark. It's the easiest game in the series, by far. Sora is an absolute god, and you're never short on ally assists, summons, limit break like attacks, or signature team attacks. Nearly every battle encounter will feature an enemy that if damaged, unlocks a team attack that is well overpowered. All you need to do to win is press X or Triangle in a mob encounter or boss battle. The lack of challenge is a real downer. Did you enjoy the secret bosses in the past? Remember how difficult they were? Well, there's none to be found in KH3. The only thing keeping me playing is the desire to hear the rest of the story. I hope you like cut scenes, you'll be watching a lot of them, which is OK by me as I've been waiting like most of you to hear the next chapter in the story. I'd recommend this game to any Kingdom Hearts fan, or for your child, but that's it. The lack of difficulty nearly kills me, but I have to see the end. Kudos to Square-Enix and Disney for overcoming yet another licensing nightmare. I don't know how they pull this off.

Don’t get me wrong, the game itself was excellent. Kept very true to the original but added some fun new combat styles which kept the game interesting The issue I have is the length. I successfully complete the story mode in 26hours. I have been waiting patiently for 15 years for this game... and much of that timeframe is spent watching various cutscenes. Would be excellent for a younger gamer who loves Disney but I don’t feel like it meets the expectations of people who had the opportunity to play Kingdom Hearts 1 when it first launched. Just wanted more

This game has all the cinematics and awesome game play of the old Kingdom Hearts, but it was pretty short. You'll definitely get your monies worth.

We finally get the 3rd game for KH series. I grew up with this series since I was in middle school! I fell in love with the series when I played it at my friend's house. The graphics are amazing and the am enjoying the story line so far. The only thing that bothers me is the abilities that he can summon, which is a bunch. I try not to use them because it makes the game somewhat easy even though I am playing it on Pro mode. Sometimes, the cut scenes are are just frequent... Like I know I can skip it but I know I should not or else I will miss out.

I really enjoyed playing KH3, I was never a huge fan of the first ones, but this one came out at a time where I needed a good game to invest in.

Overall a really fun, visually appealing gaming experience. Recommend playing the main series games + at least having an understanding of the side games & associated characters/plot points prior, or you'll be (even more) lost. A bit bummed about the lack of FF characters and the story pacing was a bit all-over-the-place, but overall I'm 40 hours in and loving every minute of it. A great return to the KH universe for longtime fans with plenty of room for potential updates. I'll be hearing Donald's ingredient mantra in my head for weeks to come.

After almost 20 years, Kingdom Hearts gets an ending to its story. Kingdom Hearts 3 is a charming romp through multiple Disney properties with all the franchise favorite characters...... If you are a fan of the Kingdom Hearts series, you will have a blast taking one last trip with your Keyblade. It may not exceed the early surprise Disney property inclusions, but it continues the high standard Kingdom Hearts always seems to reach. Getting to interact with these famous characters will just make you smile. A quality effort in every way.

This series has come a long way, noticeable the moment you start up the game. Comparing even just a minute from Kingdom Hearts III to the very first title will make it apparent the improvement in the graphics, audio, gameplay, acting, and overall pacing. The only thing to majorly note is that this game does assume you already know just about EVERYTHING from ALL the previous titles. While the game does offer some forms of recaps, it doesn't go over all of it, so it might be beneficial to make sure you're up-to-speed by looking elsewhere.

After the 13 year wait I couldn't wait to jump into this game. The game had no chance at living up to the nostalgia I had as a long time fan. The worlds are cool, the attacks are beautiful, however the game is jokingly easy and doesn't have a critical mode like previous games. Game is only around 25 hours and has little replay value. If you could find this in a red box and rent it for a week I would recommend that as theres not much end game content, or reason to replay the game, that said it is worth a play still.

Alright, starting with technicalities. - No frame rate issues, using regular PS4. - The 4K Enhancement makes this game look very rough on anything lower. Very pixelated anti-aliasing attempt on 4k graphics when downscaled. - Beautiful, beautiful HDR - Why is this game so loud compared to other games. I have to put the volume to 4... out of 100. The game itself: Fun if you are a casual fan. Disappointing if you are a dedicated fan. Story is complex and hard to follow. Even if you've played every other game in the series it will still be a bit confusing. Gameplay is kind of easy too. But...combat in KH is always fun.

I had never played KH, but they had this on sale. I liked it. It’s humorous watching the Disney characters try to be serious but I was disappointed that the voices are not the same as they are in the Pixar films. I just wanted something to take up time while I wait for Doom Eternal, FF7 Remake and RE3. I wouldn’t pay $60 for this, but they had it for $16. I guess if you’re a huge KH fan and know what’s going on, this is right up your alley. If you’re a platinum fiend, you’ll put in about 80hrs.

It was a great game with a fun combat and weapon system, a good crafting system and a ton of mini games. My only complaint is that there weren't enough world's in the game.

Waited years for this release of Kingdom Hearts. Was not disappointing when I finally received it. Now I need to get one for my grandson!

Several years after the last one and not as great as I'd hoped. Still a great game for around the $10 price.

After waiting for so long, we finally got KH3 and it was worth the wait. All the nostalgia, immersive worlds, voice actors, amazing.

I was reluctant to buy this one because I heard some negative reviews about it but it was on sale at a really good price so I decided to buy it since I have enjoyed the other games in this series. It certainly has a lot of good action which keeps you playing and I thought it was quite enjoyable. I’m not sorry that I bought it and although it might not be the best in the series it was really worth the price I paid for it. If you like kingdom hearts I’m sure you will love this one too.

Worth the long wait. The gameplay was fun and addicting even though it made proud mode kind of easy for me. Although there is not a ton of Disney worlds in this game, the details each world has makes it up for it. I'm satisfied with the plot of this game despite having some minor issues with it but I hope the future updates give some clarity on various stuff (being vague because I don't want to spoil the story). If you haven't bought this game, do it. Don't forget to watch the series recaps to refreshen your memory.
