Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the fun gameplay and engaging story of Kingdom Hearts III, frequently praising its ease of use and the variety of worlds to explore. However, some found the game's difficulty to be lessened from previous installments, and others felt there were too many cutscenes and that the dialogue could be improved. A few also wished for more content.

Although, the game difficulty is rather easy. Even when played on “Proud Mode” (hardest difficulty level) it’s quite simple. The animation is amazing! The combos and special attacks are also quite a neat feature. The game is fun and aesthetically pleasing.

Enjoy game play and story. A little bit on the easy side, but waiting for a harder game setting in the future,

Haven't stopped playing since I got it on release day. Game is simply amazing.A lot of people are giving negative reviews due to the cut-scenes, but you need to get through them for the story.

The latest installment to the kingdom hearts series is mind blowing, it’s beautifully made. Game is fun from start to end and is a must for any fan of the past 2 main games!

(Never played the other games before it) This game is so cheesy that as a grown man, I have to turn the volume down and cover my windows to not let my neighbors see me as I fight demon spawn pokemon looking things with the help of Micky & *friends* (the asterisks = flowers). There are a lot of cut scenes, which adds to the individual Disney worlds you'll explore- however I find myself not really caring about the actual Kingdom Hearts "world" (so far). The evil character all have funny confusing odd names w/ silly haircuts, they might as well be called Xerox, Equador, etc. Game is also TOO easy, and some powers are OP. I have to purposely turn off XP gain and use some abilities in their "hardest" difficulty. Due to this, I don't find myself using items or other boosts ever, which would be signficantly more OP. So why the 5 stars you say? Well, despite not caring about the Story's end point, it's the adventure to get there visiting these nostalgic Disney worlds and meeting the characters there. The boss fights are awesome, and the fighting mechanics really add variability depending on your sword key. There are abilities or specials with other characters that are really awesome to do. The animation is really great, and enjoy just how different it is compared to other games. There is quite a lot of content in here, and offer minigames that other people would like. This game might not be for everyone, but I have an open mind to this kinda stuff - and for entertainment - I have been entertained.

I've owned a few of the Kingdom Hearts games but never got that far into any of them. This is the first one that I've put in over 20 hours into and have had a blast with it. The increased fidelity and unique story line in the Disney universe are great even if you haven't played any of the past entries. Highly recommended game.

Just started, but I already love what they've done with the game. I'm curious to see what additions they've made to keep the content fresh. Kingdom Hearts was never the most challenging series, but it's always a blast to play through, and that's what I enjoy from it. I'm so happy they put it out for the Xbox this time, too.

This is a well made game, don't let that be confused. The graphics are beautiful, worlds expansive, and controls are complex enough to be challenging. With that being said, I am not completely satisfied with how the storyline is going in this game. In certain situations it feels like the events in the story seem forced and less organic than previous games in the series. The incorporation of disney rides is also ridiculous.

I haven't played a Kingdom Hearts game in years, but this is exactly how I remember them. This game has brought back a lot of good memories. It has a good storyline, decent controls, and good graphics. My one complaint is that the voice acting is a little sub par, but the quality of the story and gameplay more than make up for it.

I’ve been anticipating Kingdom Hearts 3’s release since I finished Kingdom Hearts 2 in 2006. Actually, though, Kingdom Hearts 3 is the 13th game in the series - preceded by such titles as 358/2 Days (Three Five Eight Days Over Two) and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -a fragmentary passage-. The storyline for the series is about as incomprehensible as the titles, with time travel and alternate realities and clones. To tell the truth, if you don’t already have the game, you probably won’t care about it at all. Which is a shame, because this is the most Kingdom Hearts-y game ever. Each previous game added or changed a game mechanic, and this game brings them all together. There is almost too much to do while in combat, with every flashy attack flowing into the next. One of the most striking aspects of the game is the graphics, especially on the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. Specifically, when you’re with Buzz and Woody from Toy Story, or Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled, the characters and environments look as good - sometimes even better - than the movies they come from. It’s remarkable, and really shows off how far we’ve come. The writing isn’t the best, but the voice acting performances are solid, led by Haley Joel Osment playing the main character, Sora, as he has since the first game. It is funny, sometimes, having characters like Goofy talk about finding a heart in the datascape, or Mickey Mouse in a black cloak threatening monsters with a sword, but that’s really what Kingdom Hearts is all about.

I grew up playing KH 1 and 2 on the PS2, and I already knew KH 3 was going to be just as good and fun (even on the Xbox). I was definitely right about that. Shout out to Best Buy for having THE BEST price on this game! Overall, I love the game! Brings back so many good memories

Played it on X1X. Great graphics and lots of fun all around. I watched the story so far videos that came with it. I was confused from time to time but I could follow the story pretty well regardless. I didn't care for a couple of the worlds but I felt like Disney junkies would have no complaints. It scratched an itch.

I had never played a Kingdom hearts game before, so my only expectation was to play alongside Disney characters. The game does a great job introducing you to the game mechanics gradually instead of inundating you at the beginning. Pros: beautiful game, entertaining fights. Would be great for kids! Great for kids - not graphic at all. Good for any play style - while there’s a lot of different things to use in the fight, you can get by just fine with only needing to press a single button really fast! Cons: High number of cut scenes, confusing to jump into the story without background knowledge. DISCLAIMER: the cons listed are not necessarily reasons not to try the game - they were just my personal issues. I had never played Kingdom Hearts before, so I wasn’t aware familiar with the play style. For those like me, there are a lot of cut scenes. Like, A LOT. This isn’t necessarily a reason not to play, though, as the cut scenes are usually cute / fun / informative. Plus, I’m a Disney Nerd so I enjoyed the way the characters were used. The other issue is not knowing what is going on for most of the early gameplay. Going from 0 background knowledge to jumping late into the continuing story, I had to do a lot of Googling to learn who was who and what I missed. I haven’t finished the game yet, so there might still be future cut scenes that would explain what I don’t know.
