Great comedy, NOT horror!

This was not at all what I expected. My wife and I watched this and were really confused. The reason why is that, we thought this was a horror, it's NOT. If you're expecting a horror, forget it. If you watch it as a comedy, you'll probably like it better. There's a lot of singing and dancing randomly, that doesn't make sense. The plot skips around too much, and every time you think you're going to finally see a scary scene, something funny will happen. To be honest, my wife and I are huge Stephen King fans. We have most of his films and books, can't get enough. But I don't know what happened here. Plus, it's way too long! This could've been cut down to a 3 hour mini series. It just seems like it drags on and on and on... It's not the kind of series, where you get all into it, and want to put in one episode after another. We would watch a couple and get bored, and put in something else. As much as it hurts me to say no to something by Stephen King, I'm going to have to on this. If you want to see it, wait for it to drop in price to about $10 - $15. Or just buy the first season by itself, and decide if you like it enough to watch the rest, which is like 10 hours!

The hospital is haunted and you see ghosts - the man running around without his head is hysterical (intentional), but it is so slow pace! Especially the pilot, which is so dull. And I can't stand the ant eater, although the special effects for it are good. But there is not enough of a creep factor to keep me entertained. And the story itself is predictable. But it does have some good actors in it. Sherry Miller rocks in everything she does. I'm disappointed that Peter Wingfield doesn't get enough screen time though. This show is good to watch once, but you may not even finish the episodes. It should have been edited down to a three hour miniseries. It could have been spectacular, but it was in desperate need of editing.

Stephen King movies are always a pleasure to watch. The characters are interesting visually. I can't help but wonder, what will he think of next?
