I remember playing this game on the Xbox 360 and enjoying it, so I was very excited to see it remastered. Spoiler: It holds up very well. Pros: - Good story and music, not an instant classic but few games are. Well worth the price! - Combat is fun and keeps your interest throughout without getting boring/too repetitive. - Nice character development, I wanted to see how things ended after putting ~30 hours in Cons: - Kind of linear which is honestly a plus for me, but in this open-world area some might not enjoy it. Note: - This is not Skyrim.

This game was incredible when it launched 9 years ago, and with this remaster it now plays at 4k and 60fps on X1X. A few bugs present on launch day have been addressed and patched by the devs who have been actively engaged on Discord. So take most of the low score professional reviews with a grain of salt, as the issues that caused a lower score have been addressed. This game has aged very well, and is every bit as fun today as it was when it first came out. With a brand new expansion coming out in 2021, this game is well worth picking up and playing though again or for the first time. 5 stars from me. Thrilled that this IP has been revived; thanks THQN!

I loved playing through the game the first time around, but even with the updated graphics it looks dated. I bought the game hoping to recapture the magic of the first play through, but was disappointed.

So when you first put it in, you will not be Wowed. Looks just like the original, doesnt seem much of a remaster. Then you play for an hour...2 hours...5, etc and you realize if its not broke dont fix it. Game is amazing. Still looks amazing, plays great. Instant loading and fast travel on XSX makes this game even better. What a gem.

Good game! A good remaster of the original. Updated graphics aren't as impressive as some of the other AAA games out there, but it is a good game none the less!

Nice update to the original 360 game that not many people really know about. Graphics are a little dated but it's really about an open-wold RPG experience with good combat and lots to do and explore.

I played the demo but never got the chance to pick this up so I was excited to get this. I had some good fun but the side quests were getting dull.

Sure it’s a remaster and not a sequel but this game is incredible and if it sells well, maybe we’ll get a new one! If you’ve never played this game before, now is the time to grab it. Absolutely fantastic game

Nice upgrade to the original release. Art direction is great, but combat feels a bit dated.

This game is an amazing remastered edition. I absolutely loved it the first go around and it definitely holds up today. One of the best RPGs of the last decade.

It’s the same great game you remember playing years ago, the remaster barely makes any improvements to it. If you have never played it, or don’t want to dig out your old Xbox 360 disc - get this version. Otherwise? We’ve seen a lot better efforts at remastering/remaking a game than this. Bare minimum effort on the part of the developers.

Great remaster of an underrated RPG game. Defenetly worth a buy.

It's great to have Kingdoms of Amalur back on current generation consoles. Graphics are a minor upgrade, but still look good.
