After having just watched this movie plus started playing the game, I would highly recommend ONLY watching this movie if you are intent on playing the game, and playing the game ONLY after watching this movie.

I have the other Final Fantasy films and not being a "gamer", not sure how or if they're actually connected. This incorporates motion capture so the animation is very lifelike. Miyazaki it is not! Very slick stuff. One wonders why they wouldn't just use real people since they are coming so close already. Fun escapism.

Do not listen to Critics who know nothing of final fantasy and gaming in general. If you are a fan of Final Fantasy and Square Enix, you will most definitely enjoy this movie. If you understand the basic story of what is going on in the world of final fantasy 15 before watching this film, you will avoid the "there is no plot" complaint you see in the other reviews

Kingsglaive gives some backstory prior to the events of the FFXV game, but it mostly fight scenes and special effects. Seems like SE didn't do 2nd takes for some of the dialogue which sounds awkwardly delivered despite having a big-name cast of actors. Still it's a great 2 hour tech demo of Square's CG capabilities.

With the upcoming game coming out towards the end of November, this movie should be seen if only you are planning to play the game. This game has a lot of unanswered questions that I assume will be further explained in the videogame. I'd recommend to watch this movie only if you are interested in playing the game.

Kingsglaive has fantastic visuals with excellent voice acting. The pacing of the story is a little awkward, though works for the most part, but can be a turnoff except for those invested in FFXV. Recommended for gaming fans, not recommended for casual movie fans unless interested in seeing how far CGI has gone.

Awesome. What more can you say? FFXV hasn't been released yet (as of this time) and I can't wait. The Blu-Ray for "Kingsglaive" itself is in English, but this edition also had the associated anime, which is in Japanese with English subtitles. Still good. Worth getting if you don't get it with the special editions of FFXV that's coming later this year.

This movie is very excellent. Each cgi-character is created very beautifully. They are work on with great detail from the computer designer and the music is very peaceful. If you are a final fantasy fan of the last movie final fantasy seven you will enjoy watching this film.

I was expecting an average movie that did not much more than add some background to the world of FFXV. Well, in addition to doing that, it also turned out to be a pretty good movie in its own right. Slightly disappointed that this version of Brotherhood is censored, but I'm still very happy that it was included and with additional content.

A good way to start learning about the back story of Insomnia before playing Final Fantasy XV. The cinematography is great, but theres too much going on in this movie that it felt like it was rushed. Otherwise my advise is watch this on japanese w/subs, the english dub is "just OK".

This movie along with the included anime Brotherhood, sets up the story for one of the most highly anticipated game release ever. It is a must see before you play the game. The story is great and the action sequences are breathtaking. I would recommend it to any Final Fantasy fan or any one who loves great CGI and awesome fight scenes.

I bought this movie because I thought I was familiar with the Final Fantasy properties but I wasn't as well as I thought. The CGI is beautiful but the story was kinda hard to follow. The fight scenes were good too. If you're invested into the franchise then this might be a must own for you.

Mirroring the immensely popular video game, this fantasy/science film boasts an impressive cast of newcomers to the screen. Portraying an elite force of soldiers defending the kingdom of Lucis from Niflheim, there are plenty of sci-fi special effects and action packed scenes to keep you glued to the edge of your seat

Movie is great and is something you need to watch before playing the game. Only downfall is that they tried to cram in so many characters and game lore that at times it is a little overwhelming. Other then that the graphics are great and at times I forgot I was watching a CGI movie!

The action scenes were very well animated and detailed however the story and plot was severely predictable in the scene that there was little to no background. While the movie is fairly good overall as a stand alone title, it becomes better when coupled with Final Fantasy XV.

Beautiful movie, what you'd expect out of the Final Fantasy franchise. Story was good but dove right in, and took quite some time for us to figure the plot out. Not bad though, and frankly, the other FF movies weren't the clearest either. Good stuff though, worth a look.

The Final Fantasy series has always been a must own gaming experience but now add the movies and you have even greater story to tell. The Kingsglaive tells you how passionate one man will go to save friends and carry-out his orders. A must see movie that fills the holes between the gaming series.

i wasn't really sure what to expect when i first started to watch the film but i was captivated by the end....leaving me more than excited to find out what the role of playing the game would lead to. I also did watch the anime series featuring the main characters in the game before i watched the movie
