Photography is very interesting, but the music is distracting at best. Story line is improbable. I guess high standards are not in vogue now, just high volume.

This is a great movie with fast paced action to keep your interest. The plot involves an evil organization trying to control the world from the "top down". World rulers and aristocrats are either recruited or imprisioned. They receive "microchip implants" to be used in case of "defection" from the organization. The idea is that "people are responsible for climate change" and they need to be eliminated due to "greenhouse gas emissions". So most of the World's population are given free cell phones with unlimited data. When the time comes the cell phones emit a frequency which causes extreme agression leading to mass death during riots. However, a few Kingsman intervene to stop the sequence just after it starts and activate the microchip to kill the recruits. The Kingsman were also compromised at the top. The movie is relevant today as a political party fasely represents about people causing climate change and reject the science about the ending of the last Ice Age some 11,000 years ago. It's scary to also learn that the top positions at the FBI and CIA have recently been held by former Communists and Anacrists. It looks like the plan.

I can get a bit long-winded when reviewing movies to which I have an emotional attachment. This is not one of those movies - this one was a blind buy, made solely with the intention of seeing what a current action film finished on a Digital Intermediate and transferred to a 4K/UHD disc would look in my home theater. OK, maybe it wasn't SOLELY that; I had also heard it was a fun and entertaining flick. Anyhow, long story short, this movie looks fantastic projected in large size at 4K. Resolution, contrast, color - all phenomenal. Audio is potent as well. And sure enough, the movie itself is pretty darn fun and entertaining. For the Black Friday bargain price I paid, I am more than satisfied with my purchase.

Here we are, friends. 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray is finally upon us. 100Mbps. 3840 × 2160 resolution. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X capability. Support for multiple High Dynamic Range standards, including HDR 10 (an open platform HDR with 10-bit video depth & a peak brightness of 1,000 nits) and Dolby Vision (12-bit video depth with a still-theoretical peak brightness of 10,000 nits). IF YA LIKE MOVIE ON BLUERAY, YOU WILL LIKE THE MOVIE ON 4K ALOT BETTER...

    GREAT STORIES IN THIS SERIES

This movie is great, has amazing lines, fast action, really sets a nice pace. The sound is great, can't say enough good things about the sound, it has what you expect for the money you spend on a disk of this magnitude, the money they spent was well placed. You get high quality content. The CGI is so realistic you forget its CGI and just fall into the story and lose yourself in the emotion and staging of the drama and action.

Over the top adventure and Samuel L. Jackson. This is one of those movies that you didnt expect to like, and after the very first watching that was true. The problem lies in Samuel L. Jacksons Character Valentine. I just could not get behind this character, then after watching it a second time came to enjoy the movie as a whole and Valentine as well. At this point in time only two movies are available in the series, and while the second one is enjoyable, the first one still stands out as the best of the two.

i bought the premium set for 10 box, it was a awesome set almost like a steal, one the best action movies, really good movie because it doesn't pretend to be a serious movie so they did a really action, silly rated R movie that had some of the best fight scenes and also the church scenes is one the best scenes that i had a see in a action movie in probably the last teen years, absolutely recommend

This is a great film. In the style of spy films from the past, with a good splash of irreverence and offbeat/shock humor. It wasn't what I expected going in, but is one of my favorites. I would put it up against recent Bond films as far as enjoyment. I don't want to spoil it...so giving a review is difficult. Just know this is an origin story and that you should always go with oxfords.

At first I was skeptical about the movie. I heard it was good and just ok. I saw the previews for it and I thought I'd give it a try. I am so glad I did. I was laughing, heart was racing, it was sad. The movie helped you experience the full range of emotions. It is easily one of my favorite movies. I highly recommend. The movie comes with the digital copy that you can redeem on your Vudu account.

A very entertaining adventure! But be warned yes it is at times silly and whimsical but is rated R! Do not show this to kids! And I also want to point out the digital copy only redeems in HD and not UHD even though this is the 4K version. I complained to the manufacturer and they told me it only includes the HD as labeled, pretty sneaky if you ask me being from a 4K set, so accordingly I only gave it 4 stars!

This movie is one of the most entertaining I’ve ever seen. It’s like James Bond on acid. It has a stellar cast, decent plot and over the top action. And the 4K transfer doesn’t hurt. While it doesn’t look as good as some other releases in the overall quality, this movie shines when it comes to HDR.

When I first heard of Matthew Vaughn's newest film, I didn't think much of it. It was another comic book film, which was released concurrently with the release of the film, that had a big star in a supporting role and a young up-and-comer in the lead. So it was pretty much like Kick-A**, and was hoping it would be different. After seeing a few trailers, skipping it out in theatres (Too busy most of the time for a night at the movies, unfortunately) and seeing it got a ton of rave reviews (Along with a ton of controversy) and a hefty chunk of change at the box office, I decided to give this one a view. Boy am I glad I did! This film is filled with a story lifted from Bond (A billionaire decides to rid of most of Earth's populace with tampered SIM cards that produce a frequency that instantly makes everyone violent to the point of murderous rage) that has tons of callbacks to the 60s Bond era (Like Vaughn's previous film X-Men: First Class) and loads of style to choke a playboy. The cast is exceptional, with great turns by Colin Firth (He is surprisingly awesome as an action star!), Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, Mark Strong and the big breakthrough performance by Taron Egerton as the hero, Eggsy Unwin. Just a total must-see, no matter if you view it in theaters, rent the DVD, buying the BluRay, or even a rental on CinemaNow, this is a must own, unless you are against a very-hard R film filled with brutal violence, coarse language, and some sensual scenes that contain nudity, but still buy it! The BluRay's PQ/AQ is a top notch presentation, with sharp, detailed picture sourced from a digital shoot, that is very filmic and colorful with details that range from wrinkles in the face to the very fabric of the Seville Row-suits being easily countable to the stitch, and very loud and accurate sound that surrounds the viewers in a wash of bullets, explosions and blows to the face with fists and/or feet. The extras, are a bit disappointing (with an early press release stating there would be an unrated cut and a commentary), but still contains some goodies. The big extra is a 90-minute documentary, split up over several featurettes which can be viewed together or in chunks, that is very detailed and BTS-oriented that covers everything from inception of the comic book to release. All in all, a very good documentary. Also of note is several photo galleries and some trailers to complete the mediocre, but still decent extras. Also included is a Digital HD copy of the film (Wished it had a DVD so I can view on the go without having to download a version on my phone so I don't waste data) and since it is a Best Buy exclusive, has the first issue of Kingsman, in mini-comic book form, a nice touch BBY. All in all, a very good release, that is not for all tastes, but has enough action and humor to satisfy fans of either genre, demo worthy PQ/AQ and some decent extras to make it a must buy. Of course, if you have a 4K TV, wait until March 1st to pick up the 4K release (Also includes the standard BluRay) to really show off your setup!!!

    James Bond meets Spy Kids?

These agents are like Spy Kids who grew up to form their own secret organization after failing to join MI6. Villains just as outlandish. Technology just as ridiculous. Except no one cares about civilians, subtlety, or body count. I enjoyed watching it but doubt I'll go back to see it again.

This is a spy thriller that does not take itself seriously, which is a good thing considering how silly the movie gets at times. There's some great fun to be had here, as long as you approach the film with the right frame of mind. Pop it in your Blu-ray player, sit back, and enjoy a story that delivers on both action and over-the-top shenanigans!

A different take on the special agent type movie. I really liked this first of the 2 movies. I find myself watching it whenever I see it on TV. So, when it went on sale in 4k it was a must. My only wish is that it had a Dolby Atmos sound mix but the DTS-HD sound was great.
