I had an older desktop computer that was custom built, although still useful, it was slow at the start and chugged between applications. I had installed some additional memory which was good, but it needed more umph. This SSD is the bomb....I could easily install it because it came with the cloning software to move everything off my hard drive to my SSD and the brackets for the slots. The DVD was a nice touch as I could watch it from my laptop while installing the upgrade. My system is now faster when I turn it on and zips through my apps. Not sure why I waited so long except the price was a factor, but prices are a real deal now so this is a real value as my starter SSD. Love it and thanks Kingston for a good quality product that won't break the bank.

I installed this a few days ago and since then it has been blazing! Transfer speeds and Read/Write aren't the fastest compared to other SSD's, but I don't mind because it is still a huge upgrade from a regular hdd. Boot time went from 30 seconds after bios post to 10 seconds. Transferring files on USB 3.0 to my external hard drive was at 150MB/s. The reason I gave it 4 stars for ease of installation was because there was no installation guide. I know some of this is my fault for being a newbie with hard drive installation but they should at least throw in some instructions for putting the brackets on. Overall I think this is a nice entry SSD. Not an extremely high end SSD but it gets the job done. Oh yeah and I tested skyrim loading screens, and this thing takes no more than 3 seconds on them.
Enjoy.

Very good SSD, easy to install and use If you know what are you doing. I bought it on sale for $86.99 after tax and shipping which is Great Price. I didn't have trouble at all. For beginners I recommend to go on Youtube.com and watch how to Format a brand new disc. It will tell you everything you need.

The drive of the future is here - no moving parts - the HDD was the last of the electro-mechanical devices to slow down operations - this device works as well as I expected it to function.

This computer bios wouldn't recognize this drive, so I tried installing it into it's USB enclosure and running it from a USB 2.0 port, but it wasn't recognized that way too. Tech Support said it was dead on arrival.
