I thoroughly enjoyed playing Kirby Star Allies with multiplayer (playing the game by myself felt a bit lonesome). It is the most graphical pleasing Kirby game I have seen to date. The AI is fine, but sometimes need to be coaxed into helping you solve a puzzle. The free DLC of additional characters is a nostalgic treat for longtime Kirby fans. I definitely wished that the game was more challenging as the dynamics of the game felt tired and the campaign short. The bonus mini games were neat. Overall, good game and I enjoyed playing it.

Perfect for my 5yr old and I to play together. Easy to understand, fun characters, good graphics. Sometimes the screen can be a little busy, but my daughter loves it. I love that it's fantasy based and nothing about it looks life like or real world realistic. It's a great family game without gore or violence and that's important to me.

It's Kirby but without much of a challenge. The new mechanic of having three friends on your team makes the game much easier than the older Kirby games. It's still fun, graphics are great, and plenty of nostalgia to be had with the music

This is an absoulte solid game with beautiful graphics. For Veteran players of the platformer genre may find this game easy. The most fun i've had with game is playing with others not as much in single player. Great party game!

Creative use of multiplayer modes, the game play is cute and simple with a fair amount of levels. Not a lot of challenge for seasoned gamers, but a delight to play with younger friends / family.

Kirby games in general have never been particularly difficult. I mean he can trivialize platforming just by flying! Star Allies makes you feel like a god then with the amount of powers that you can absorb. In an odd little way Star Allies feels more like a beat-em up with how the levels flow. Kirby has strong move sets with many of the powers he can absorb. If you have ever played a fighting game before you'll feel right at home with his combos and special moves. Since Kirby can throw a star to make regular enemies and defeated mid-bosses into allies, it gives you a ton of firepower to take on anything. So a couple little enemies are no match for your squad even when the AI is in control of them (if you have three human friends controlling your team it's even easier). Even bosses have a tough time keeping up with how much damage you can dish out. Early boss fights are over in a flash and not until way late in the game did I need to use the dodge button to avoid attacks. The simple puzzles are fun. You'll have to figure out which combination of enemy powers works to discover secrets and unlock doors. There's also really fun team transformations that really change the pace of the game. From flying shooting segments to rolling through the stage as a destructive wheel, all are fun to see and happen just the right amount of times. But unfortunately the game is so easy that it's a breeze to get through. Amiibos can give you random power-ups to keep you going. Some allies can create health items for the whole team (and health can be shared by touching your teammates). And then there are enough pick-ups to keep your extra lives counter going up up up! Outside the main game there are some special challenge modes but I didn't get a chance to play them yet. They may provide the difficulty I seek. Overall though, despite being easy, Kirby Star Allies is A LOT of fun. You'll feel unstoppable with a full crew of allies!

I found Kirby star allies to be a blast to play through with my friends, the game isn't too challenging, but playing with all sorts of different combinations and partner characters was a blast. My main gripe with the game is how unbelievably short I felt the experience was. If the story was double the length, it would have been just right in my opinion. The game is still a blast, just not worth the full price tag.

With all the bells and whistles, every main line Kirby game since SNES has been a reimagining of Kirby’s Super Star. The multiplayer capabilities for the Switch are easy snd fun. The “friend heart” mechanic seems a bit redundant. There are moments that are extremely hand holdy to the point where the game plays you while you watch. But it’s Kirby! It’s fun and bright and colorful and EASY.

Very short game but reviewing this based on quality vs quantity of time and it's still a solid Kirby experience. The graphics on the switch are vibrant, colorful, and you'll experience some new Kirby abilities. More fun playing with friends. Unfortunately the difficulty is not very challenging so it's a good game for young children but nonetheless another solid title for the switch.

Having just come fresh off of Robobot, I had high expectations for this installment of the game. The game itself was a joy to play, but the main storyline is incredibly short. Just as the story was beginning to ramp up, it had already ended. Despite this, it is quite obvious that the creators put much attention to detail as the models and surroundings are gorgeous. In addition, there are many easter eggs hidden throughout the levels that will bring a smile to your face, especially for longtime Kirby fans. The post-game features a speedrun mode and a boss rush mode, similar to previous entries in the Kirby franchise. Those that aren't too fond of replaying the main story again with different characters and more obstacles probably won't find it as enjoyable. The minigames have also kept me hooked, although I just wish there were more of them. Comparing this to Robobot, I was more satisfied with the story and its pacing in Robobot, but that doesn't mean this game is bad. All in all, everything culminates into celebration fitting for Kirby's 25th Anniversary, I just wish there was a little more meat on the bone.

To enjoy this game you really need to have the right expectations for it. The instructions given throughout the game are straight forward and helpful. Graphically this game looks great and the happy music is pretty good. It is fun to see what different characters' skills are and how they can combine with one another. This game allows players to join in whenever they want then they can jump out of the game and let the main player continue on. The computer is intuitive when you are playing with three other computer controlled characters. They figure stuff out and do help you out along the way. With all of that being said, it is not hard to fully accomplish these levels and beat the bosses. There are a couple of levels that I had to go back into to get the special puzzle piece and push the main button but it isn't too tough to do. This is definitely a kid level difficulty and I wish they would have had an additional harder setting. Even though this game is not very hard, it is fun. I enjoyed playing it due to the cool characters and different decisions that you can make on some of these levels. It is also a great multiplayer game as up to four people can play together. So if you are looking for a fun game that is a break from more challenging games and allows you to have an enjoyable local multiplayer experience then this is for you.

Knowing kirby games from the past means a pretty short game. This is no different as you can 100% the game in under 20 hours. The fact you can play with multiple people though makes the game a bit more fun and there are also multiple unlocks which unlock mini games which are quite fun. If you have any amiibo you get puzzle pieces each time you touch one.

Experienced gamers will not be challenged by this game, but this game is perfect for parents and older siblings to share with younger gamers. Up to four players can play simultaneously engaging in fun combinations and power-ups with a large roster of playable characters and utterly charming graphics and music.

I really adore the game! I have always been a big fan of Kirby and I find him to be adorable so I was super excited when this game was announced. When I purchased it, I was very happy with the gameplay...however... It sucks playing with a friend. I played it with my boyfriend (with him being player one) and me being player two. It was difficult to work together because every time he went ahead of me, I would automatically "transport" to him. I, quite frankly, loved playing it by myself but was annoyed with playing with friends/other people. Overall, this game was pretty easy and enjoyable. It wasn't too hard to beat which I liked. The graphic was amazing, colorful and overall, did its job of keeping you entertained too. It's definitely kid level "hard" but for someone who's 20...it was too easy. I enjoyed it though as it was something to just help you destress and wasn't too hard to leave you frustrated and throwing my Nintendo Switch onto the floor. Overall, it's a wonderful game to play! I was able to finish the whole game in about 2 weeks so I wouldn't purchase it with the pricing right now (unless you have some Best Buy Reward points saved up, then sure).

This game is suitable for young children to play (up to 4 of them at a time if you have enough Joy Cons) and for the adults too. Collecting everything is still rewarding enough for gamers to give this a try, but don't expect Dark Souls level difficulty on this title.

Everything about this game is very cute. With that in mind, the gameplay is solid and the controls are tight. I didn’t realize this having never played a Kirby game before but the controls are similar to Smash Bros, or at least comparable. It’s a fun multiplayer game, but not very challenging.

Loving this game so far. The graphics are great, the gameplay is simple enough to understand but deep enough to require some thought to go through different scenarios. The only thing I would hold against the game is that it isn't very long. Can easily be completed within 10 hours, if not less.
