Being a fan of the band for many years, I am glad this CD embodies selected work from the first album to their current line-up. Throughout the 70’s, the 80's and the 90's, to DRC soundtrack, and even to the import Killers, the box set, to the recent stuff with Tommy & Eric, KISS has gone through “phases” that is cool to hear with both CD’s in a few hours. If you are new to KISS this CD is a great place to start. Just being able to hear a “sample” of how each album sounded, you can draw your own conclusions if you want to pursue listening to any of those albums in their entirety. That is what I dig about this particular collection. On the other side of the coin, if you are a fan that is tired of hearing the same songs being used on complications, you might want to shy away from this CD. Unless you really want to hear the demo from Love Gun, called “Reputation” that Simmons sings or the three live tracks w/ the current line-up from the 2000’s (which aren’t too bad), I would suggest finding an alternative method of listen to these tracks to decide how you want spend your money. Again, If you are bummed or upset about the song selections for this particular CD’s collection, I would advise not getting it to avoid having any regret about buying the “same songs” and it end up being a coaster or just ends up collecting dust on a shelf. The one cool thing with the Best Buy exclusive is…. that it does come with nice “retro” KISS 70’s logo design Tee shirt (think the old school logo Rock and Roll Over insert or was it Love Gun??!! Anyways…). This retro shirt looks great for doing yard work or fixing any “Carr” (Lame KISS pun intended) in the near future.. If you are thinking of going to the St. John’s mall with some guys named Bruce or Vinnie to eat a bunch of popcorn and pretzels, this shirt would be a great conversation piece. Long story short, you get a retro shirt for an extra amount of cash.

I bought the version with a t-shirt. The cd comes unwrapped while the t-shirt is wrapped. Cover art is so so. Booklet is good, very glossy, but there are mistakes that long time KISS fans will pick up on. This happens alot with official releases for KISS so it's par for the course. What really stands out is the sound!!! I don't know if they remastered these again or if they just tinkered with volume but they sound very clear and loud. The track from Hotter Than Hell sounds amazing. Whole album should be done this way. I say if you are a curious or you are a true fan, pick this up.

My husband loves KISS and this CD set is a wonderful addition to our ever growing collection. As long as they release it I will buy it! Love the fact there is a song on here my husband has been wanting a copy of since it was only released over seas!

The music is as timeless as the band. These two discs cover the entire KISS library and is not just another greatest hits release. The fact that there are some live tracks, previously unreleased just adds to it.

Awesome quality at the best price I was able to find. Several family and friends also purchased this collection and all agree it is by far the finest remix and master ever produced by the group.

If you are a KISS fan this is well worth the money, especially with the bonus Best Buy T shirt!! There is one song from every KISS album and some of the selections are questionable, e.g., Shout It Out Loud over Rocket Ride from Alive 2, but all in all it does not disappoint.

i like the cd cause they didnt just put the songs they usually play at concerts , there some songs i heard in long time

This set includes the best songs that Kiss have ever produced and an awesome t-shirt. Any Kiss fan needs this in their collection.

The shirt I got is great quality. Also the double disk is great if you are a true kiss fan.

just a great cd all around! i think i have all of the kiss albums, but this is good! a great music cd to blast in your car!

To be perfectly honest, the world doesn't really need yet another best-of from this band, no matter how worthy KISS may be. So what does this offer that hasn't already been given to us dozens of times over? The T-shirt (only available via Best Buy) with a design instantly recognizable to those of us who owned ROCK AND ROLL OVER on vinyl. And it's XL sized, for the classic rocker who's twice the size he (or she?) was then (raising own hand). And there are a few new "live" versions of classic KISS tunes here too. So let's rock and roll all nite, and party every day...

The fact this has at least one song off of every major release makes this one standout above the other Kompilations or Best of's from KISS. I like the live tracks but would have been happier with some truly never heard demos or unreleased tracks. Bad reputation has been on most all bootlegs you can get and if you watched American Idol season finale with KISS if you used Shazam you could listen to the song as many times as you wanted free. So even if you don't buy bootlegs you could hear the polished version if you used Shazam on the season finale of American Idol. A must for any KISS fan of course and the Best Buy version had a limited supply that came with a T-shirt that was kind of retro looking I have it too. If you are just getting into KISS and want to get a collection to start you off in the original stuff this is a good one and I'll listen to it in the car I'm sure and I have it on iTunes for work and home. Wish they would do " These Boots are made for Rockin'" that would have been a good bonus track!

Great KISS box set cd booklet is awesome great pictures cool exclusive Best Buy highly recommend.
