This is the 2 nd one I have bought. First one lasted 9 months and company would not honor warranty. It was $1100 to fix it. This one I paid for extra Best Buy warranty. It has not been installed yet

it doest make ice !!!!!! all the a+water flows out the machine !!!! and Best Buy don't want to replace it !!!! I just have a month I but it and a week I instal it !!!!

Best Buy sold to me and installed a defective KitchenAid ice maker which leaked and caused over $18,000 damage to my wood floors and cabinets. Best Buy and its insurer refused to fully compensate me for the damages which forced me to file a claim under my homeowners policy to have the damages repaired. Best Buy and its insurer should have paid for all damages as the seller of a defective product. Best Buy also refused to refund the purchase price of the defective ice maker, but instead replaced the ice maker which so far does not leak.

This ice maker has been serviced (under warranty) 6 times since purchasing it. It has had every pump and compressor replaced at least once and has been broken more than it has been working. Kitchen aid eventually replaced the original unit with a new unit after I spent many hours on the phone getting to their replacement team. The new unit worked for 4 months and then yesterday it filled with water and overflowed causing damage to my wood floors. I thought maybe the first machine was a lemon, but to have a brand new machine again fail makes me think it's just extremely poorly made. I'm considering throwing this thing in the trash and covering up the space with a cabinet face. DO NOT BUY this icemaker unless you want to deal with nonstop problems. Be smart and buy something else, it's really not worth rolling the dice on this poorly made machine.
