Love my new KitchenAid Microwave. Replaced older KitchenAid rated 1200 watts. New microware is only 1000 watts however cooks better than older model.

Love the look of this Hood / over the range microwave. Easy installation, good instructions for line up.

I purchased this model as it had some of the best reviews. It is everything the reviews said it was. Works good. I installed it myself in the space I had a previous over the range microwave. It went up very easily. Had to enlarge the vent hole in the upper cabinet and modify the vent to roof but all went well. Only one issue so far and that is that twice I have walked up to the unit to find the display off. Still had power but could not use any of the buttons. Hour later all working and the clock was still at the correct time. Will have to watch that while still under warranty.

This microwave was easy to install and works well. Love it.

The microwave is so quiet that it doesn't seem like it is on. I do miss the quick cook buttons (just press for 1-6 min cooking) but easy to use and clean.

This microwave has some neat features to autosense your food plate and heat it automatically.

We enjoy the hardworking microwave and it does a great job for the house of three (including teenage son & his friend's traffic) it cleans easily and has a powerful vent that helps out a lot when we have the whole kitchen going prepping for a big watch party.

I "upgraded" from a 1500W over-the-range microwave to this lesser wattage option, because I wanted to match the other appliances I was getting. I was skeptical but my meals come out hotter than before! Less energy and hotter food - there's efficiency!

First of all, make sure you have plenty of space between your stovetop and the bottom of the microwave (minimum 24"). The automatic fan will run forever when you have the burners going and there is no way to turn the darn thing off. This microwave works great until it doesn't. Out of nowhere, the microwave would not detect that the door was closed and thus would not allow you to start it. This happened occasionally and was mostly a nuisance, but since we had the protection plan we wanted it repaired. We had the Geek Squad tech come out to fix the door/ latch sensor. He replaced the part, but it ended up not working AT ALL, so we were out of a microwave completely. Apparently it is a very common problem with Whirlpool microwaves (KitchenAid is owned by Whirlpool - FYI) and is commonly resolved by replacing the latch piece. The tech put in a request for a replacement and told us to contact Geek Squad customer service and they would get us taken care of. When we contacted them they informed us that they would supply us with a new one, but we would be responsible for covering the $360 difference of our purchase price to what the microwave sold for now - we got it on sale a couple of years earlier as a combo (matching dishwasher, stove and fridge), so we obviously got a killer deal on it. After two months of going back and forth with them because it was not completely useless until they came out and tried to repair it, we finally got a new one. Shout out to the tech that stuck with us through the process. If it weren't for him standing behind us and telling his superiors that this was not our problem, but it was all on them to cover it, we would have been out $360 bucks. I had always had great service from the Geek Squad team, but this was an absolute nightmare.

have microwave for a short time; looks good and easy to operate. Best buy installation - no hassle.

Does the job a 1000 watt microwave is designed to do. Has some "auto sense" features, but I haven't been very successful at using them.

Definitely a Great buy without question. We prefer Kitchen Aide products whenever we're looking to replace kitchen appliances since their quality has been generally phenomenal when compared to other name brands.
