    Several steps up from the builder-supplied microwave that no longer would turn off. Loads of features and much faster than the basic models. The reheat functions alone are worth the price. Soup comes out perfect. It is a bit taller than our previous one so check the dimensions if you have a boxed-in space.

    Our new KitchenAid Over the Range Microwave Hood works really well so far. It has lots of suction power without venting it to the outside, we have it set to recirculate instead of vent. There's both options to vent or just recirculate. It looks nice too.

    Everything about the microwave is good. We installed it ourselves with no problem and have been using it for about a month now. I can't tell if is the most "silent" one, the one with best features or whether it will last for many years, but so far we are very satisfied with it. The keyboard is clear and has useful quick-options, the light is good, looks great and feels sturdy.
