    At just over being a year old I also had the problem with the light not going on when I opened the door so the microwave will not function because you get the open/close door error message. Had an appliance tech come out to replace the defective part because of course I was just past the warranty period. Less than 6 months later, SAME PROBLEM. What a piece of junk. I would not buy this microwave.
